You have given me inspiration to make my cards. I purchased this kit, because my mom & dad were born in 1922. My 96 year old mom is doing great and still lives at home :) I always enjoy all of your cards and can''t wait for your next video. Thanks much!
Beautiful collection of cards using this kit! Art Deco is not really my style, but I hope to CASE a couple of your cards. I really loved all the cards but I can relate to the last one. I really liked how you created movement by changing and varying the colors. Creating the cutout in the card with the fancy die was a great idea! Did you use a craft knife or scissors? Another great video Scott!
@@Sjohnston1928 Thanks much Sandra! Truly appreciated! CASE away!! I always turn to my craft knife when cutting openings..! Way more comfortable with that!
Always, a good laugh and fun encounter with your card-making, but let's add; the most elegant designs and creativity to match this Hero Arts card kit that I have seen for the month of February 2019! You are such an inspiration!
Thanks so much Louise! That really means a lot to me! This kit was a bit of a challenge, but that just makes me think harder...! LOL! Spread the Cheer!
wow ! i knew that YOU would rock this deco style kit, Scott ! love the creative way you used the fancy die to dry emboss on white and how you demonstrated different ways to use a stencil ! in a thousand years i would not have considered embossing the design ! fantastic as always - so appreciate you sharing your talent with us !
Thank you so much Maryanne! Always great to hear from you! It pleases me to be able to share some smiles and a little inspiration with you here! Your support is what keeps me crafting! Spread the Cheer!
I have been having fun with this kit. I bought it because my dad was born in 1922, so it "spoke to me". I also boughht the add-on stencil and die. I am very impressed with your designs (as always!). Ii think that anyone who appreciates antique items would love receiving a card with the jukebox, grammaphone, or car. Thanks again foor sharing your talent, personality, and contagious laugh.
Love your 10 cards using the My Monthly Hero kit! I am a subscriber to the Monthly Hero Arts kits and I look forward to seeing what you’ve done with your kit. You are always inspiring!
Really , really like card nine!!! All great as usual ......lots of male cards working with this kit this month.....even with all the glitz . Unique as always and all super!
Wow... you always come up with such unique cards from these kits. Such clever and beautiful use of the kit. I always look forward to seeing what you'll create. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us, very inspiring!
Wonderful work you do! So creative! The cards are beautiful and I love what you did with the backless heads! Fun stencil and stamps this month! You are amazing, I love watching you show off the cards and commenting!
Thank you my dear Alice! This was a fun kit but a little challenging... maybe I'm just reaching my Art Deco threshold..! You know I always love hearing from you, and am so thrilled that you take the time to see what I'm doing! It almost feels like you're here with me! Love You!
I think you did an fantastic job with this kit! I think you are the only UA-camr that used everything in the kit. Your eye for detail is beyond amazing. I know I says this every time, but your videos are the best! Keep them coming.
Really like card 5 using the die to dry emboss-so elegant. Cards 7 thru 10 spectacular!! I really enjoy stencils and you did a GREAT job. I’ve never used a stencil with versamark and embossing powder. I definitely will do that. I so enjoy watching your videos!! Thanks. 🤗🤗😘
Really liked the "Aint Misbehavin'" card plus the tip to spray the card front before using the embossing machine...I too have had cards crack and just didn't know how to apply less pressure. Evidently, I wasn't approaching the problem correctly! Will certainly try your tip...thanks.
Thank You, Debbie!! A little moisture certainly helps... I also will put a freshly embossed (damp) panel under a light notebook or something to hold it flat while it dries, but not heavy enough to crush the embossing. Hope that helps! Spread the Cheer!
Awesome cards, Scott! I couldn't believe what a wonderful February - Lizi and Hero Arts both using an Art Deco-y theme! My husband even wants to help me make cards with these! Your cards will be an inspiration! Love the "Kick Up Your Heels" card.
Thanks Susan! I think this is a great "guy" set and love the fact that your hubby wants to play as well! The family that creates together...!! Spread the Cheer!
I have this kit and haven't started playing yet . . . your card ideas absolutely reflect the time period. I'm going to have to CASE some of your cards, I just can't resist. I think my favorite is the Kick Up Your Heels Daddy-O, but they are all fabulous, great job!
Thanks so much Linda! Always much appreciated! CASE away, my dear! The daddy-o card is a perfect masculine birthday card!! Your support and encouragement inspires me! Spread the Cheer!
Amazing. I've got the kit and have watched a few video interpretations for it. I must say you have out-done them all. LOVE the way you used the kit. Love the bubble thoughts for the half heads (I thought they were weird too), but yeah, you have created beautiful cards. Just love them all. Thanks so much for the inspiration and of course your laughter. Wow, the time flies by quickly when watching your presentations.
Thank you so much Margaret! That means a lot to me! Always a pleasure to be able to share some smiles and a little inspiration with you! Spread the Cheer!
Scott, I always enjoy the marvelous cards you design. You have a tremendous knack for detail in your cards (unlike so many that make cards from a kit, a lot of them are pretty similar in style and design). Yours are such an inspiration as to what you can come up with when one thinks outside the box! Thanks for sharing another awesome video of your astonishing creativity! I hope you're having an enjoyable weekend!
Just finding this. They are quite different from any others I’ve seen - or done - with the set. I think they’re fun. Especially like the background patterns you created with the small stamps.
Great kit and great cards. You never disappoint us with your imagination. I loved how you used the half headed people they were a bit challenging and probably my favourite along with the car card. Hope you have a great weekend and tfs.
Thank YOU, Sylvia! I think I can finally move on from all the art deco this weekend...!! LOL! Thanks for the support and encouragement - that's what truly inspires me! Spread the Cheer!
Your painstaking attention to detail really shows through with this collection. I always like your sing-a-long cards. Ain't Misbehavin' is just beautiful. My favorite is the car card. Your coloring is superb!
I love all things art deco...have only had a chance to make 2 cards so far but definitely want to do more. I totally agree with you about that die and stencil...so gorgeous!! I haven't used the two backless heads yet but will remember to use them with the die to see if that works! Great cards as always
Sophie! Thank you so much - always good to hear from you! I do understand the backless heads were designed to go in the window of the die cut (someone had to point that out to me!) and still leave room for a sentiment... HMMMMM... I'll have to experiment with that myself! You inspire me! Spread the Cheer!
Well my friend...I agree with Denise! I don’t understand why you’re not on so many more Design Teams!!! These cards are INCREDIBLE and ELEGANT!!! I have to admit I was at a loss when I first received this kit, but after seeing your cards I CAN’T WAIT TO PLAY! THANK YOU so much for sharing your wonderful creativity with us. I ALWAYS look forward to watching your videos!! You’re so INSPIRING! I love all your cards as always, but the last one REALLY made me laugh!!!!
LOL! Thank you so much Judy! Always thrilled to hear from you! If I only had more time...!! It always makes my day when I hear from you! When I say you inspire me... I mean it! XO! Spread the Cheer!!
SCOTT, LET ME SAY, I've seen many people do this kit and had a hard time with it, but as always you turned it out again. The best card set that I Have seen so far this month. :)
Thank you SO MUCH Deborah! This kit was a little more challenging than I originally thought, but that's okay... just makes me work a little harder...!! LOL! Thanks for your continued support and encouragement - it really does mean a lot to me!
Came across your channel last night and have been binge watching, haha! I love how you challenge yourself to use every single stamp in the kits. I was on the fence for so many kits so you helped me in my decision process!
Can't wait to get started with my kit. It's the first Hero Arts kit I've purchased. Love the Art Deco and Art Nouveau eras. Your cards are amazing, as always! Razza' Matazz"
WHAT?!?!? LOVE the backless heads card!!!! We'll, actually I love them all. I've said it before, and I'll say it again...you pull from literally every resource available and come up with the most amazingly unique cards! I'm really surprised that you aren't on dozens of papercrafting design teams Scott. You are such a tremendous asset to the papercrafting world!!! Thanks for making my little corner of the world brighter with your quick wit and winning inspiration! Have a wonderfully blessed week my friend.
Oh my goodness! Thank you SO MUCH Denise! That means a lot to me! It is truly my pleasure to be able to share some smiles and a little inspiration with you! I don't think I would have the time to be on dozens of teams...LOL! But the sentiment is very appreciated! YOU inspire me! Spread the Cheer!
I really appreciate that you list the fonts you found to match the theme; I'm saving this video for reference when using my kit. Oh, the jukebox turned out so perfect! I don't know if I could stand to give it away. You should try the Prismacolor Metallic markers in silver and gold. They come in fine and broad tips and give the best "metallic" look out of several that I've tried (I like them more than the Sharpies). Also had to say how impressed I am by your craftsmanship.
I have been waiting for your video showcasing this kit, and I am not disappointed. As usual, you have come up with unique designs that make the most of the elements in the kit. You are an inspiration, daddy-o. (o:
Great cards Scott! As always you did an amazing job with this card kit. I wish I had purchased this kit but I’ve been banned by the money making from buying new items until I use what I have. 😭. Looking forward to your next wonderful creation. ❤️
Thank you Flo!! Always great to hear from you! ... until you use what you have... ouch..!! LOL! Boy I understand that!!! Subscription kits are how I control my spending while still satisfying my need for something new...!! LOL! Less than $400 a year isn't too much for a hobby...!! LOL! Have you seen how much model trains cost! YIKES! LOL!!! Bless you for sticking with me and encouraging me month after month! That means a lot to me! Spread the Cheer!
Always find your cards an inspiration. (I love puns too. ) Your channel is a great. I have a question as I try the jukebox card. How do you die cut just the window part of the fancy die?
OMG--your cards are truly amazing!! I can't believe how many ways you were able to use that stencil (and that die is awesome!) I learn something every time I watch one of your videos---do you offer classes? I would certainly sign up!! I really appreciate your diligent experimentation with each of the kit elements--it is so informative and I always want to order a kit after I see what you do. Thank you so much for sharing all your work. I have really become a fan (and you make me laugh). PS Thank you for always sharing the font details.
Thank you dearly, Jennifer! So very much appreciated! Your support and encouragement inspires me!! Always happy to share some smiles and a little inspiration with you! Spread the Cheer!
Great job!!! I asked about the half headed people. Lol. Was told that if you stamp in the middle of the fancy die one on each side it works with a sentiment in the middle. I like your idea better !!!!
LOL! Thank you, Dianna! I'll have to take a look at those half-heads and see how they fit in the die window... that never even occurred to me! Thanks for your continued support and encouragement! It means the world to me!
When I first looked at this kit I wasn't thrilled but your designs have filled me with inspiration!! Loved each one of your cards. I always enjoy your video's and ideas. You always get a chuckle from me with your silly puns!! Keep the fun and laughter coming!! BTW, how did you stamp the diamond background on card #10? Did you just 'eye-ball' it or use a ruler of some kind?? I love it!!
Thank you! It always delights me to share some grins and giggles (and a little inspiration) with you! I did use a stamp platform to create the diamond background - leave the stamp in the same place and move the card panel around..! Truly, I am a horrid stamper and would probably waste tons of paper without the assistance of a stamp platform! LOL!! Your support and encouragement inspires me! Spread the Cheer!
Wowzzers Scott, Amazing! They r all stunning cards. I was just wondering how on the first card, u got the black on the fellow at the bottom to fade out like that? Looks very cool. Thanks again so much for sharing your creations once again. Enjoy your video. 👏👏👌🤗
Thank you so much Rea! That means a lot! I actually did 'second generation stamping' on the dancing couple - I inked up the stamp, stamped it on some scratch paper first, and then stamped a second time (with just the left-over ink) on the card. Hope that helps! Spread the Cheer!
WOW! I've been waiting for this video ! I enjoy all of your ideas. You are very original with your cards. Great talent. Your an artist and an engineer and have a good sense of humor. 😁
Thank you so much Meaghan! Always good to hear from you! I never would have gotten things lined up so nicely without a stamp platform!! I think they make anyone an expert stamper!! Or at least they help A LOT! LOL!!! Your support and encouragement inspires me!
Well you did it again my friend! Beautiful cards. I think your first one is the best, you sure used those headless stamps perfectly! "Ain't Misbehaving" is gorgeous too. Never would have thought to use the die that way, And "Have a Roaring Time" is fantastic! I'm not a fan of black and red together, too Goth for me (my stepdaughter would like those best!! Lol!!) I so envy your creativity!!
Thanks you dearly, Suzanne! Always great hearing from you! This kit was a bit of a challenge, but your support inspires me to press on!! Spread the Cheer!
Scott!!! Ugh, this kit! What is up with the half-headed stamps??? You worked some awesome magic and pulled off some fabulous cards!!! My fave is the one with the car. Super fun!! You rock! Just so you know, I prefer "doll face" to "cool". Thanks in advance! LOLOLOL!!!!
Thanks Dollface!! 😘 LOL!! Always great to hear from you! This kit was a tad harder than I thought it would be..! Make my brain work a little overtime..!! You know you inspire me!!! XO! So... does that translate to "some old things are still dollface"???? LOL!! All my best to you and yours!!
Hi Scott..I've been waiting for your 10C1K Hero Arts video...and so worth the wait! The cards are lovely! I especially like the idea of cutting through the front of the card base to keep the focal image always in view...brilliant! I too love the simplicity of white dry embossing with gold...so classy! BTW, your color blending was PERFECT! Good job! I only have one question - Do bees actually have knees? Never understood that saying...lol!
LISA! Thank you so very much! This kit made me work a little harder than I thought it would..!! I've been practicing with my alcohol markers...! Using really good paper helps immensely!! And YES! Bees DO have knees!! LOL!! The phrase seems to have evolved in 1920s America, along with “the cat’s pajamas”. Other seemingly arbitrary terms of distinction from that era that have since died out include “the snake’s hips”, “the kipper’s knickers” and “the sardine’s whiskers”. (I LIKE THAT ONE! LOL!!!) Of all of these, the only one actually found in nature is the bee’s knees, so perhaps that’s what’s so special. I adore you!! Stay Warm!!
You have given me inspiration to make my cards. I purchased this kit, because my mom & dad were born in 1922. My 96 year old mom is doing great and still lives at home :) I always enjoy all of your cards and can''t wait for your next video. Thanks much!

Always find your cards an inspiration. (I love puns too. ) Your channel is a great. I have a question as I try the jukebox card. How do you die cut just the window part of the fancy die?
Your cards are so beautiful
Really nice my fav is glitter blk and red but they r all very nice
Thank you, Tami! Much appreciated!
Amazing! As always.
Thank you, Amy!
WOWZA!!!! Great cards!
Thank you, Kathleen! Always appreciated!
love that jute box ; )
Thanks Sharon! Spread the Cheer!
WOW! I've been waiting for this video ! I enjoy all of your ideas. You are very original with your cards. Great talent. Your an artist and an engineer and have a good sense of humor. 😁
Thank you, Christy! That means a lot to me! Always pleased to be able to share some smiles with you!
How in the world did you get those diamonds lined up so perfectly in that last card?! 😍😉 beautiful cards as per usual!!!
Thank you so much Meaghan! Always good to hear from you! I never would have gotten things lined up so nicely without a stamp platform!! I think they make anyone an expert stamper!! Or at least they help A LOT! LOL!!! Your support and encouragement inspires me!
Total game changer! I agree! I don’t know what we did to deserve you but we don’t deserve the wonderful light you shine in this world!! ❤️❤️❤️
You’d never know it was a challenge, you did the set proud!!
Scott, outstanding cards from an amazing card kit!!!! Loved them all. Tfs!😘✨👍🏾
Are you planning a combo vid of LFL and HA Feb card kits??
LOL! Thank YOU, Gwen! What... 20 cards not good enough for you?? LOL!!
Stay Warm!!
