Please Seano, we need a bis heat 3 set, with highest dps while still having the required fire resistance.
i had been using molten armor for so long, i really thought there would be no way that i would switch. two days ago i tried baelfirebolt out and im never switching it again until they nerf it. its amazing. i like how there is a visible debuff for it so you know how many stacks you have and how long the debuff is left. i try to get about 3/9 before i pop icy veins, berzerking and cooldowns. i dont sim things, i just try them out in game. i really like having a spellpower on use effect trinket for the baelfirebolt cooldown phase.

quick one, if fire blast is on a 15 second cooldown why would you spend talent points in improved fire blast?
reduces it to 13.5s

Two things, it's essentially two fireblasts with crit and burn damgae but more important if you get a crit with anything else, you fireblast for the hot streak instant pyroblast proc.

Did you have mana issues in this fight? What do you think about frost channeling
Not having any but I have alot of shamans in the team, with a shadow priest you should have no mana issues at all. However you could take the points out incinerate and move things around to take frost channeling if you wanted :)
Why no living bomb? Seems odd to no throw it up for free damage and increase to dps no? Or is it just not worth the mana?

Yes living bomb is really not good at 60, especially for the mana cost. That said if you can’t cast anything else, or you’re moving or your guild need time for the tank to build threat then cast it. Otherwise just ignore it :)

where do you get the mana back even when in combat? I just play mage for the first time and the mana is always oom
Shadow priests and paladins mana batteries
Yes shamans/paladins & shadow priests are good but for the most part it’s about timing your mana gems & potions. Tbh most bosses shouldn’t be a struggle with the exception of Onyxia and potentially Rag. Pop early so you get the CD back sooner
stand with the Melee you have no travel time and do even more Damage.
why are you not using living bomb?
Living bomb is not worth casting, the damage is low and its a waste of an important global, that said if you're on the move from a mechanic or have a spare global then its beneficial to use it :)
@@SeanoHere 100%. The amount of damage it does is super low compared to everything else, and it consumes more mana than every other spell in the rotation. Living bomb used to be great, but it's not holding up at all in P4. Like Seano said, it wastes an important global. Which means if you're in the middle of casting BF bolt or FF bolt, and you have to stop casting to put up Living Bomb, you will waste literally the same amount of time that you would've used to just keep casting a full BF or FF bolt. If you compare the numbers, Living Bomb will do maybe 1000 damage over 12 seconds and costs around 400 mana. BF bolt averages around 2500 between hits/crits, and costs LESS MANA. FF bolt averages around 1500, and costs less mana too. No point in wasting your time on Living Bomb when it costs more mana, does less damage, and it takes the same amount of time to get it tagged on the boss (due to the global cooldown). And let's face it, Living Bomb only does Fire Damage too, which will be immune or do even less damage against several mobs and bosses in MC.
It's not balefire bolt making all that damage, its the Ignite which RNG decided you'd get the crit. Warcraftlogs divides the ignite damage among all mages, so in reality, the damage is way less than what you see.

For pUre DPS on boss fights yes, but you could move those points around if you wanted
All these guides doing incinerate and then using overheat....you gonna waste 2 points for some extra scorch crit? Lol
It’s because we’re looking at full on DPS, if you were having mana issues you could take frost channeling but Im not experiencing any so far
Only fights we struggle on mana with are the aoe fights. And we dont use scorch for them. Might make a 2nd aoe spec @@SeanoHere
