That’s not a bad observation. But there are birds with this type of colored feathers so no one is truly right or wrong. It depends on how you interpret it.
Since the series ended and the supposed "combination" didn't happen, I'm positive that the intended design of the unit is an interceptor type mobile suit. All of the boosters and short legs harkens to Gundam S Gundam Booster unit type, with the Lfirth Thorn chicken leg functioning as a simple landing strut and not a proper bipedal leg.
I believe you can give it shorter arms and longer legs out-of-the-box by the arms with the lower legs, basically giving it entirely white arms and brown legs.
Built it up yesterday and while the actual build was fine, even good because of the unique form factor. HOWEVER, my god that brown plastic is the worst plastic I've seen in the whole Witch line. Even worse than the purple on Guel's Dilanza, super brittle and marked like crazy for me
still halfway on the vid and i dont know if Zaku will also do it but i've seen Japanese modelers just straight swapping the limbs and shins and it works and fits perfectly. like it was originally that way, just swapped for the Norea's liking. EDIT yep, he didnt do it. you can check out Crafta as he did the limb swap.

did you actually watch the video? he mentioned that he didnt care for the proportions like twice and said that it would be good kitbash material if youre like him and didnt care for the original design. otherwise he gave it a pretty glowing review and said it only had like 2 actual flaws (difficult color correction sticker in the chest, and giant protruding armor restricting posability slightly)
He only mentioned ut twice and made the fixing you say at the very end of the review. It's sad comments like yours have so many likes for being so negative.
Very good experiments. Actually my imaginations with the kit bashing parts went wild there for a moment. Looks very good and promising with the arms and legs swap. Not a fan of the chicken legs very much but the kit shows a lot of potentials as base kit for MODS. Thanks for the inspirations man. Oh by the way I just got mine this afternoon in Toys R Us while the wife are not lookin'. Ha ha ha! :) :)
I still think the Lfrith twins are gonna be combined. The proportions are way too weird, and why not put em together now that they've only got one Gundam pilot

I believe you can give it shorter arms and longer legs out-of-the-box by the arms with the lower legs, basically giving it entirely white arms and brown legs.

I think it’s best to get two copies, use one set of forearms as lower legs and use what remains of the other kit for kitbashing.

The only thing the color im gonna repaint it with gray with black so that it gets to look menacing but i still love these two

Are you gonna be reviewing the Gundvölva ? They're technically weapons / bits / accessories for the Ur and Thorn.
I think I read somewhere that they also house a cockpit so someone could easily pilot one. Not a 100% sure but that’s what I gathered.
Though it's kind of depressing to see the half the review is about "fixing" the actually unique and cool design to just be a copy of the boring one.

I honestly love the design the thing that detracts from the design for me is the stickers as the vents on the chest
gunpla is freedom. if i want to force the orangutan gundam to evolve into a proper mobile suit, you can be sure i'll find every single way to do it.
