Playing pikmin as a kid made me want to become an Aerospace Engineer (I'm almost done with my bachelor's in Aerospace Engineering). Hopefully, if I travel through space one day, I can come across the pikmin lol.
The melody at the beginning still gets stuck in my head and makes me hum as a 28 year old man all these years later. One of my favorite games growing up.
I also grew up with this game and it was and still is one of my favourites, but it was the Wii version! And now there's probably people that will grow up with the Switch versions. Pretty cool :') Me and my brother used to play in co-op and he'd always bags Olimar and I'd be Louie and we'd go around punching enemies to death because we were too scared of losing our Pikmin because they were so cute. And we just built up a huge backlog of them in Awakening wood for tens of days until we finally decided we should probably play more of the game I think when we capped out our Pikmin LOL The overprotectiveness of Pikmin that this set in me has been very hard to overcome lol.

The beginning of this song makes me think that Olimar is ready for a new adventure, as well as it just screaming GameCube vibes. I love it.
Today I was walking my dog while listening to this and I realized that it fitted really well on our walk. Start of the song: I leave my house with my dog. Enemy near & Battle theme: My dog notices there's a dog nearby and starts barking at him. Treasure: I arrive to the spot where I can grab a bag for my dog's poop and leave. Sunset: we're returning home. The best part is that it's spring, at least where I live. I love this song!
The most memorable part of this level for me is definitely getting the ultra-spicy sprays, and those worm things attacking the plants over and over, always found them so annoying lol

A flying bug came in while I was listening to this and I tried to shoo it away and it didn’t go away for a bit until it did, and I think that perfectly sums up this song.
Only disappointing thing in 4 for me has been the music, just feels soulless compared to the 1, 2 and even 3 tracks. Went way too far in the abstract direction, couldn't even hum a single theme that wasn't used before in past games and I'm 100%ing it.
