Thank you for this video! I looked at several of them before taking off my deck, but this one showed things very clearly and I will be looking at it again when I put the deck back on. I'm 76 and eventually get things figured out, but I would have starved to death if I tried to actually make a living in the trades. Again thanks!
I'm glad it was helpful! Thank you for sharing and the kind comment.
Nice video....would love a video on how to level the deck on this mower as it has a reputation of scalping and dragging...
You did a fantastic job. I don't believe I should have any problems doing my tractor.
Just take your time and you will be fine! Thank you for watching and the kind comment.
This made putting the deck back on so easy! Many thanks!

Is it possible to adjust the tension on the blade engagement? Mine doesn't retract all the way back it seems and won't engage the blade
This is, without a doubt, the best how to video I have ever seen. Perfect explanation and video work. You get to see everthing clearly. OUTSTANDING JOB !!!

I'm having a problem on the other side (drivers side) connecting the rod to the bracket to the piece with the teeth to raise shd lower the deck, any suggestions?
You make it look easy. Thank you
I’m glad it was helpful and thank you for the kind comment.
I am a 64 year female and I was able to take the deck down and diagnose the problem why it didn't engage (belt slipped off). Fixed it and had the young men from church put it back together. Thanks so much for your video!!
Glad to hear!! Thank you for the kind comment and for sharing! Please give this video a like, and share my channel with your friends to help it grow. It would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you so much for this video. These mowers are junk, but this was incredibly helpful
I’m glad it was helpful!
Saved to favs...do you have a video on leveling the deck?
Not yet on this model. The next one I get in, I will make a video on it.
You don’t have to take that nut off of that bracket to get the belt off just go on the other side goes in a hole and just with your hand just put it in and it comes out of the hole and you can move it backwards where it’ll be out-of-the-way, you can get your belt off
I 100% agree. I’m always learning something as we all are.
Excellent video and very helpful! Thank you! I have a 2011 Craftsman 46” mower that is very different and I believe to actually be a much better design. I also have a very similar 2015 Craftsman 46” mower, but I’m not a fan of the “improvements”.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for this video. I was given a craftsman lt1500 but the person has already removed the deck. The front rod was missing, so it through me off on how it was hung. I figured it out, but was unsure. This really helped setting it.
I'm glad it was helpful! Thank you for the kind comment and supporting my channel!
Thanks, man. I got everything real easy. Then that cable. YOU'RE A LIFE SAVER.
I’m glad it was helpful!
Thanks to Johnson's Small Engines for making life easier.
Most excellent guide. Many thanks.
I have the T150...my issue is when I disengage blades from spinning, they seem to still spin (not full speed, but still spin) what do you think is causing this?
Debris may be keeping blade brakes from working properly or brakes are sticking for some reason?. Incorrect belt size (too short) if the belt was recently replaced? Blade engagement cable not releasing all the way?
I enjoyed watching this, and I don't even have a riding mower. 😅
Glad you enjoyed! Thank you for watching:)
Just realized towards the end of the video that you only have one hand. Props to you for doing this kinda work with that, the video was very helpful!
I let you know within the first few seconds of the video that I was born with only one hand. It’s been challenging but as my saying goes” if I can do it you can too !!I “ I’m glad this video was helpful. Please give it a like and share my channel with friends to help it grow. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for watching!
@@JohnsonsSmallEngines Apologies, didnt hear that part of the video. I'll share this with my friend who just bought a lawn tractor himself!
got a questions. what causes the deck to shake? so bad, the belt came loose at one point, jacked up and put it back in place.
Bend blades, bent blade hub shaft, bad blade belt, broken deck hanger mounts.
I’m thinking of buying this mower, but a common complaint is it doesn’t cut high enough. How hard is it to raise the mowing deck on a permanent basis.
The problem with these mower decks is you can not raise the height side to side evenly. You can only adjust one side. Hence the issues with not being able to raise the mower decks higher.
@@JohnsonsSmallEngines thanks so much for being so attentive. You certainly care about what you do.
Smash that 👍 button everyone! Really enjoying the channel
Great Video, thank you for sharing this... :)

Great idea to mark the right side of the mower frame to put the belt guide in the right hole
Thank you Robert!

Nice job! Thank you! Appears to be just like my T140 model. I struggle with the spring on the end of the blade engagement cable.

I have the same mower and appreciate the video. My issue is the blades keep turning when not engaged; I figured it is because the new belt(I got the mower used and didn’t have this problem before although the belt was very well worn before it broke.
How do you adjust the belt tension?
Also the brake pedal sticks and I have to pull it back with my toe, any ideas? Thanks
It is impossible to diagnose without seeing the machine but I can give a few suggestions. There are no adjustments for belt tension for this model. It is a manual spring loaded cable. If the tension is too tight, you either have the incorrect belt? (I always suggest buying the original manufactures belt) or you put the belt on incorrectly? or the blade engagement cable is frozen and not releasing? or the mower deck has other issues? The second question you have is the pedal issue. I have only seen that issue if the transmission belts are not the correct size due to not putting the original manufacture belts on? or the variable drive pulley is not working correctly. When and if you figure it all out, please let me know.
My deck fell down on one side as I was mowing and I thought something expensive broke. After watching this I figured out it was just a "bow-tie" clip that popped off. I put that side back together and stuck a cotter pin in there, and I'm mowing again. Thanks!
Glad you are back up and cutting! Please give this video a like to help the channel! It would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for watching:)
I enjoyed viewing you video on how to remove your T110 Craftsman mower deck you made it look simple and now I am not afraid to try and remove my deck on Craftsman T110 rider. Thank You
I’m glad it was helpful and you are now more confident to perform the task. Thank you for the kind comment. Please give this video a like and share my channel with friends to help it grow. It would be greatly appreciated!
Great job. I am over 65 my deck is leaning to one side. I will bring my mower to my concrete drive and check under neath. I can remove if i need to. Thanks for doing this i can fix things or diagnose problems thanks to you. ❤😊

My problem was a low tire. GO FIGURE.
Thank you so much for this video, I was having a helluva time getting the deck off and on. Your video saved my sanity.
Glad I could help keep your sanity!! Thank you for watching and the kind comment:)
This has to be one of the best unconfusing videos on UA-cam.
What GREAT Job showing us how to remove the deck on the Craftsman T110 riding mower.
I’m glad it was helpful and thank you for the kind comment.
Great instructions; have similar deck, wanted to remove blades for sharpening. Your video and demo were well done. Tried to remove blades without removing deck, but bolts were on way too tight. Eventually had to use torch to heat bolts and breaker bar.
I have been there and done that. It does suck. I would reccomend using a anti seize lubricant on the threads of the blade shaft to help them come off easier next time. Thank you for watching and the kind comment. Please give this video a like, subscribe if you haven'y yet and share my channel with your friends to help it grow. It would be greatly appreciated.
There is a video a guy put a six inch c clamp with a piece of 2x4 outside the deck. The blade locks against the c clamp.
excellent video and very informative to the point, no BS.
I’m glad it was helpful!
Thanks G

Thanks for the video! After I did this I'm having trouble raising and lower my deck any advice?
Double check everything you did. If it wasn’t doing it before you removed the mower deck it is obviously something you did not do correctly upon reinstalling.
@JohnsonsSmallEngines ok I will. The belt is real tight. Could that be part of the problem?
The belt should not be tight unless it is engaged.
@JohnsonsSmallEngines the belt is tight period engaged or not. I am going to rewatch the video and try again in case I missed something.
Also, sorry fail to mention it's a t210, but I dont think there isn't much of a difference
Thank You !!
