After seeing the destruction and devastation crack created in the black community in the eighties and beyond crack and crackheads shouldn't' exist in this day and time. There is no amount of curiosity in the world that should make someone curious enough to pick up a pipe. Addiction has gripped so many of the best and brightest amongst American Black people and I do hope this young woman realizes her value and gets her life in order for her baby girl because trauma has been proven to pass on in the womb.
I think the ones under 30 are too young to remember how horrible crack and hiv was in the 90’s. I’m in my 30’s and even tho i can recall some of it i was kinda young to grasp the impact myself. But i show my teenage sons these videos and will continue when my daughter is old enough she’s only 1 now but i have so much anxiety about her falling victim to this or domestic abuse or sexual assault. You do all you can and sometimes this is still the outcome. Scary

I was raised the same way and still ended up with really bad drug addictions....coke, Adderall, Molly, x....then the meth the real stronghold. Knowing God doesn't guarantee you'll never walk certain roads....but it DOES guarantee he will be with you... even when I made my bed in hell he was there.... when I was in similar states as her he still spoke to me. She needs deliverance. Praying someone that understands her current battle and how to come out locates her. God allows some of us to live in literal hell and suffer thru addictions so that we can pull other ppl out. One day I hope I can help addicts, but that life is not far enough behind me to go out there again. The harvest is plenty but the laborers are few and they're scared to leave the church house to get ppl out of the street...Pray that he ✝️ sends more laborers out of the church into the streets... I know for a fact the only way to be delivered from addiction is by Jesus.... nothing can save you from those demons except Jesus Christ 🙏🏾

I was speaking to a therapist about speaking in a group about emotional issues. She asked me will a professional be there? If not.... having people talk about triggering issues is not helpful and very damaging without a professional involved or without them having access to help. Please be mindful when asking people to relive trauma for these interviews and asking them how things made them feel.

No amount of asking him to be mindful of this is going to work. As long as these interviews are available people are going to be interviewing these folks on the street and not have the concern that you are referring to. I agree with you. But if he's not going to take a professional down there he may as well stop doing interviews. And we know he's not going to do that.

The lapse in her thought process says it all. When you get pass the shame, the thought of smoking crack is exciting. I was an addict and I know the symptoms. A cigarette opens the crack craving up again. I'm speaking from experience.
Smh. She’s not that far lost, she needs to receive consistent help immediately while working to make money to better herself and to focus on getting her daughter back in her care. Hopefully she gets it together

When Marcus asked her when was the last time she saw her daughter, she was about to say three months but then she changed it to a month-and-a-half so that it wouldn't sound so bad. I believe she has been doing crack longer than she says she has. Those times when she would zone out, they appear to be from long-time crack use

Watching her zone out reminded me of the computer buffering. She needs to run to the nearest rehab for immediate admittance. The drugs have her thinking all messed up. I hope she gets help for her addiction quickly before she has to suffer the consequences of making poor choices. I will definitely keep her in prayer.

Lucky you, never got frustrated at 20 with THREE kids. I think you’re the only parent who has never gotten frustrated while raising children. Especially at such a young age. The other 99% of us have gotten frustrated before while raising our children. But of course that doesn’t mean the all of us will turn to drugs and or alcohol. We have to be careful with judging others when most of us aren’t perfect, like you are.
It looks like what she was doing was dissociating. She was disconnecting from her environment. I pray she can find a mental health and substance abuse program to help her. It seems she has comorbidity so she will need treatment for both. God bless her.

She is gone because she doesn't think she has a problem she doesn't see a problem so no need to fix the problem. She has disconnected from the life she had as a mother has given it up at this time with no real thought of returning. Your beautiful sweet daughter will one day relive the pain you are in if you don’t rectify this. I understand fully that the road to healing is harder than the escape that drugs provide. I felt the pain when she started talking about her father. My father died the same year. I pray that she finds herself again, because she’s lost after her father’s death.
It is so hard watching her destroy her life. I pray that she can get the help she needs in addition to finding a good substance abuse program and housing so that she can get her daughter back.
These feelings of wanting to run away are normal. It sounds like she is having an identity crisis. A lot of women, even married women, don’t adjust well from going from no kid to a whole mommy. It sounds like she developed postpartum depression that turned into postpartum psychosis. The death of her father may have been a cause of the onset. With postpartum psychosis, the baby will seem like the “enemy.” The mother will also be emotionally disconnected from the baby. These feelings don’t last forever with help. Too bad there was no motherly elder to support her and encourage her to seek help immediately. Postpartum psychosis is considered a medical emergency. Also, postpartum depression can last for years. If you have or know of any women having a baby, watch out for the signs because sometimes they are not aware of the switch within themselves.

We say how the crack epidemic shifted the black community, torn families apart to see the new generations more than willfully dabbled in all types of drugs. She was NOT being honest. She went from saying she never did anything but weed & coke to trying crack once to doing it everyday but then trying it again today 🙄🤦🏽♀️ She’s all over the place & saying anything trying to form a good story.

When Marcus asked her when was the last time she saw her daughter, she was about to say three months but then she changed it to a month-and-a-half so that it wouldn't sound so bad. I believe she has been doing crack longer than she says she has. Those times when she would zone out, they appear to be from long-time crack use

The questions that are being asked to her or processing in her head way slower than She's perceiving Everything. Crack has people stuck in a Time Loop and that repeated Cycles what causes them to not be able to get out. Yes Mother Divine protect the innocent children

Watching her zone out reminded me of the computer buffering. She needs to run to the nearest rehab for immediate admittance. The drugs have her thinking all messed up. I hope she gets help for her addiction quickly before she has to suffer the consequences of making poor choices. I will definitely keep her in prayer.

Lucky you, never got frustrated at 20 with THREE kids. I think you’re the only parent who has never gotten frustrated while raising children. Especially at such a young age. The other 99% of us have gotten frustrated before while raising our children. But of course that doesn’t mean the all of us will turn to drugs and or alcohol. We have to be careful with judging others when most of us aren’t perfect, like you are.

She is gone because she doesn't think she has a problem she doesn't see a problem so no need to fix the problem. She has disconnected from the life she had as a mother has given it up at this time with no real thought of returning. She likes the feel of getting high being high and that is what she is living for chasing the drug. Yes she is some what threw off mentally and doing drugs all day everyday will make it worst. This one had me lowkey shook, kind of scary seeing her completely tapped out like that. Demons are real and I pray she closes the doors to them asap!
Beautiful young woman, the crack is deluding your judgment. I’m not sure what, who or why this is the road you are on. Your beautiful sweet daughter will one day relive the pain you are in if you don’t rectify this. I understand fully that the road to healing is harder than the escape that drugs provide. I felt the pain when she started talking about her father. My father died the same year. I pray that she finds herself again, because she’s lost after her father’s death.
It is so hard watching her destroy her life. I pray that she can get the help she needs in addition to finding a good substance abuse program and housing so that she can get her daughter back.

These feelings of wanting to run away are normal. It sounds like she is having an identity crisis. A lot of women, even married women, don’t adjust well from going from no kid to a whole mommy. It sounds like she developed postpartum depression that turned into postpartum psychosis. The death of her father may have been a cause of the onset. With postpartum psychosis, the baby will seem like the “enemy.” The mother will also be emotionally disconnected from the baby. These feelings don’t last forever with help. Too bad there was no motherly elder to support her and encourage her to seek help immediately. Postpartum psychosis is considered a medical emergency. Also, postpartum depression can last for years. If you have or know of any women having a baby, watch out for the signs because sometimes they are not aware of the switch within themselves.

Such a beautiful young lady throwing her life away for drugs. She is deeply gone. To be bragging that crack is better than weed, pills. It is baffling as Marcus have often stated. We say how the crack epidemic shifted the black community, torn families apart to see the new generations more than willfully dabbled in all types of drugs. I highly encouraged my kids to stay away from smoking weed, it is a gateway to drug addiction
That’s a misconception that gets sold about weed. It is not a gateway drug, only weak minded people go on to harder drugs
