Hey Chris, I made one of these a few years back and best advice I can offer is yes indeed foam fill the top half but if I could do mine all over again, I would either add resin into the legs/feet area and try to make it all one (build up resin slowly so no overheating/warping etc), Also maybe think about making or adding a thick wire armature frame. The legs on these guys are notorious for warping under all that weight. Looking forward to seeing the build and good luck.
I bought the same kit about 20 years ago. It was quite the challenge to build. I super glued him togetter and foamfilled him before I put his head on. It took me about 6 months to paint him by hand.
The second one is on par with the og, but is more rewatchable because it isn’t like a Christmas/halloween movie (the first one is both) it’s just doesn’t fell wrong to watch it whenever
I'm subscribed to follow your build. Good luck ! I also build models, hate vinyl. I've seen this in resin at a friend's garage. Very nice piece, but expensive. I'll stay with collecting the NECA figures !
That`s an impressive kit. It`s bigger than i thought it`d be. To be honest if i had it i`d drill out the eyes, paint eyeballs and attach to the inside if possible, i`d also use miliput to sculpt the missing parts if they can`t be 3d printed. Great video and really looking forward to updates.
One of my favorite movies as a kid! I don't know what would be my favorite, that spider gremlin was wild! As was the one that gets turned into vegetables hahaha. Crazy ass movie!
I know it’s a no no in our community but have you thought about doing a recast of it so you can get a couple of copies of it before you paint it. I would buy a blank if you did.
Hi Chris the other day I saw. Gizmo. At best buy. They wanted. 3 o to 40. Dollars but I didn't have the money. For him. Maybe if I see him for cheaper. I will probably. Buy. It. Next time
Working on getting Gremlins 2 on 4K so we can see the gorgeous creature designs!

the bootleg Thai vinyl kits are cool. i got this one, a facehugger, chest buster and 3 terminator endo skulls.
Beautiful kit. Well worth what you paid for it.
Brainy Gremlin was awesome. Tony Randall should have done more voice work.
Just saw the rear spines on eBay 1:1 listing is called -

Chris, Heard chest tattoo and thought you were going to show off you got one.😂😂😂
This is awesome, can't wait to see the process! I really liked Daffy of course, but the vegetable gremlin was always a close runner up!
Good job. At. Voices.
That's the Bees Knees
You should make a mold of that one and make more of them
Definitely add the spines somehow, sculpt or 3D print them?

Vinyl shrinks. A recast of a vinyl kit in vinyl results in more shrinkage and usually a slight decrease in detail.
That looks so cool can't wait till you start working on it but I got to watch gremlin one and two it's been a while
No more small soldiers?

Hey Chris I sent you a DM on Instagram about a kit and what not. Had a question about it.
