I mean I have had plenty of plat/diamond phara's with mercy duo asking me to play a shield tank while they are flying miles in the air lol. Atleast masters can play without a shield, plat barely can and below you cannot play without a shield because your teammates basically are having a contest of who can reach spawn faster (they are all winning).
@@honorifoley6975 bhop slam, the single most useful one, doesnt exist anymore, which also eliminates all of its variations and expansions. I’ve also noticed since the beta that a lot of the bumps you used to be able to abuse for the stair slam variations aren’t useable for it anymore.
The game isn't going to release anytime soon. They're going to continue to split the playerbase between OW 1 and the OW2 beta until the both games die off completely.

I think they are all intended to avoid bugs or getting stuck or having a weird feeling while controlling the hero. They way he uses it is unexpected however.
In my opinion, GetQuakedOn is unmatched when it comes to sheer knowledge and mechanical skill when it comes to Doom. Don't get me wrong there are a lot of amazing Doom players but I've never seen another person as insane as Quake

i like the slam change but i feel like it is the classic overwatch "make hard mechanic easy" because now you get vertical height whenever i liked old doom because i was rewarded for smart positioning and map knowledge
I'm still learning doom at the moment, but the fact that there are soon much move sets for him, is insane, and makes me love him more as my main. He's not only a strategic character to play but also a rewarding one
As long as he isn't one shotting me against walls anymore, Doom can have all of the techs he wants as long as the devs don't suddenly decide to patch any out xD

The last advanced tech actually got cut out. Its called the Grundstücksverkehrsgenehmigungszuständigkeitsübertragungsverordnung. Pretty easy to do as well.
Just wanted to say that some of the techs that were patched out at launch are now doable again. Well, at least the ones linked to stair slam, except the bhop slam i think
new update: every time you do the super slam doomfist screams (come on and slam, AND WELCOME TO THE JAM!) and the music stars playing, after that a kill is 100% confirmed, then you are granted gold medal for looking cool while slamming the enemis... and of course a 100% chance of play of the game! i mean... you deserve it! COME ON AND SLAM! AND WELCOME TO THE JAAAAM!!
There are some rollouts that will allow you to get in good positions for environmentals. On Lijiang Garden if you punch into super slam cancel on the slanted roof that’s on top of the mini near the point you’ll land near the enemy bridge and have your punch back in time to knock people off. It’s still advantageous to know them.
Thing about rollouts is the most effective ones usually rely on the enemy team having a low IQ and not the skill of the Doom, not a lot of consistency per game. They gave him even more mobility which is huge when he is supposed to make space now, and t's still possible to rollout and get a cheeky kill on a Zen using an empowered punch 30 feet away in the backline, so I mean not all of that was lost.
@@Teamfortressjunkie That’s why it’s important to know several crafty rollouts on maps so people who know a few of them and are expecting a common rollout might be caught off guard by a rollout they’ve never seen before

I feel like ground slam should pimp slap any character you come into contact with while flying through the air. Would be a nice way to combat pharahs and echoes.
i mean even the owl pro's take tips from GetQuakedon doom to play doom in the overwatch league. like hawk for example literally said in an post game interview he adapted quake's playstyle and copied what he does

God getquakedon is such a pioneer. I believe pro doomfists will be grinding out these techs thanks to him. Like imagine Danteh in a private lobby trying to find a good super head whatever turn slam on a map in order to get the best dive positioning. This is so crucial. Like space has to learn this, danteh has to learn this, other tank players in owl are going to be developing the doom playstyle thanks to these techs
I tested the techs out and there are some cool things that I want to know if they are real or if I am just not getting the mechanics. so I noticed that you can jump when you stall slam. does it increase the slam time? also if you barely jump on a high ground are you snapped to it? I noticed there are some ledges on high grounds that allow you to use slam to jump then slide off the building to slam the ground below it. not sure how these would be used if at all.
I tried all these out in the practice range and foolishly said to myself "hey, these are pretty easy, I think I've got these down!" In game I: - rolled out into the middle of a Mei ult - Threw myself off a cliff TWICE - Landed directly in front of a Rein having used all my abilities, for him to instantly charge me - Got sniped out of the air by a Sojourn's railgun before touching the ground - Had my team flame me for not tanking hard enough because I was trying to practice tech 🙃 All in one game. Oh well, I guess the only thing to do is keep trying...

Did the BHOP Slam get patched? I can't get it to behave the same way as in the video, I just get a small hop after landing the slam, not before.
