- In this video, we’re using alcohol inks dropped directly onto the glitter base to create a cowhide effect. You can use lots of different colors, I used brown from Hobby Lobby and Tim Holtz Caramel. The glitter is White wedding from Fran’s glitter. At this exact moment it is out of stock. Take a look at Sandy’s video for another variation: • Cowhide Tumbler Tutori... . While you’re there, check out her other tutorials. She’s done a lot of methods!! 😍

Okay. FIRST! The fact that you.mentioned Plinko, I had to do a double take listening to that. Heck yeah! Was my favorite game on Price Is Right as a kid.
I love how this turned out, and the idea you could do this in gypsy "cowhide" swirl with maybe Zoey or other teal shades, that could be INCREDIBLE!!!
I saw Sandy's tutorial on this... you both did awesome... I've yet to try it tho🐄🙂👍🏼💜
Oooh that is very cute! 💖💖💖👏👏👏🇦🇺
Jippperr leppsey 😂😂😂 so funny Jess 👌🔥💯💯 Yahhh this is a great way of creating cow hides! Think I’m gonna try it later today.. being in Okla these should sell well, maybe with the ‘Peace Love & Boots/Cows/Goats’ or something similar 👌

Thanks for sharing your beautiful art! Always a pleasure to watch you create. Have a great day 🌹🌹🌹
I’m trying to do this cup and the ink won’t trail like yours does. Any suggestions
Love this! what a fun technique! Did you spray clear sealant before you did the alcohol ink or do it directly on the glitter? I learn so much from you and this is another example! Thank you
I do most times. It seems like the inks spread more if I don’t seal first. That could 100% be my imagination though!
I love it. It’s awesome. Did you put a decal on it? I’m not a horse country girl sort but sure do like this look. Just not sure what kind of decal goes on one like this. Thank you for sharing your art! 😃
I haven’t just yet, but it could use a “not today, heifer” image! 🤣
This is AWESOME! Did you wait 24 hours after doing the cowprint to seal it and then epoxy or did you just seal and epoxy right after doing it? Thanks so much.
Let the inks fully dry then seal. Once the clear coat is dry, then I epoxy. 😁
So, do you have to use just a plain white glitter? I have irredentist and holographic… will that change the brown spots to a green???
In my personal experience, darker colors on iridescent white will throw the other colors. Could be green or just about any other color depending on the glitter. ☺️
I did an iridescent glitter from grateful glitters and they turned green. 😂
So I tired this… & on the edge of the print on some parts it turned yellow/green & never turned back after epoxy :/ any suggestions?
Oh no! Was the epoxy cured on the base layer? Or it it an ink that might be known for color issues? I have a few browns that turn green or pinkish in epoxy.
How long before you epoxy so the ink want smear
How long did you let your alcohol ink sit before you sealed it?
I usually wait at least overnight.
On this video , you said to seal the glitter before you start dropping the ink on it ?
I did with clear spray paint. It keeps the glitter from being so loose & maybe the inks from spreading so far. You can probably do it without sealing first. I have not tried it that way yet.
How do you seal it after you apply the ink? I tried a clear sealer spray and my ink ran all over. Totally ruin the design. Tips?!
Spray light coats and from kinda far away. I made a few blurred spots by over saturating it. The times I do light coats tend to need bleed.
Ya know I think it’s totally ok that you get tongue tied on that one style bc as it turns out that g word is a slur, (been learning about the Romani ppl lately) your mouth just already knows 😂. Thanks for sharing this is def something I can add to my repertoire!
Lov it pretty lady.
