Please stop calling this a "Strider clone/rip-off". This game was made by Kouichi Yotsui himself (the creator of the original Strider). It's HIS gameplay formula and he has every right to use it.
Moon Diver isn't incredible but it's similar to this game. The game design on Strider 1989, Osman, and Moon Diver have more in common with each other than the Strider games on NES, Playstation, and the 2014 reboot

Yotsui has wanted to do a port of this game for years, but nobody has stepped up to do one, and Mitchell Corp ceased research and development back in 2012. Roy Ozaki is still okay with licensing the game, last I checked.

Good question. I became so absorbed in the art and music that I forgot... the title had me looking forward to watching a hero mix martial arts with modern weaponry. The only ones with modern weaponry were the disposable enemies. The "dancer" part is obvious. Maybe he's "cannon-" because he dodges bullets, or maybe because his spiritual after-image hits with the force of a cannon.
Did u use a turbo tool for attacking? that was hella fast ! i saw another gameplay but wasn't near as fast killing ppl as u do O: well it was also the US version (Osman)

こんな名作が世に埋もれてたのか。いやーすごいゲームだった。
昔から恋い焦がれてたゲームでした。テキストや展開がセンスありすぎ。文学を感じる。
分身やボムを温存できていないと最終面で詰むので実質ノーミスが要求される高難易度ゲーム。寺沢武一的な世界観がとてもインパクトがあって好きです。

It's a strider clone/rip-off made on drugs and with better graphics than the original by an Ex capcom developer and his team.

ドット絵のクオリティーがすさまじい。いい仕事は時代を超えて人を感動させる。
絵も曲も物凄くクオリティーが高いけど、難易度も物凄く高いなこれ……。
90年代のゲームとして、すごいグラフィックですね。

ゲーム性では飛竜2よりむしろこちらの方が飛龍の正統進化という気がする。
開発がミッチェルというマイナーなメーカーだったからか、注目度も低く出回りも悪かったのが残念。
これ、アメリカとかの海外メインだったみたいですね。日本でも見ないこともないですが、いかんせんミッチェルの代表自体が外人でしたので仕方ないといえますが。
飛竜2はむしろこれよりしょぼいような・・・。
@@えちぜんや 1996年は、ストゼロシリーズが出回っていてスト３が出る直前あたりで、国内アーケードは格ゲーと音ゲーの二色になりつつあった頃なので（インカムが全く違うので、どのゲームセンターも格ゲー音ゲーを欲しがった）、海外メインで売ったのはその時の判断としては正解だったのかも…とも思います

完成度はストライダー飛竜を遥かに上回ってるんだけど、飛竜の持ついかにもソビエトの未来都市的な寒々しい世界観には全く及ばなかったね。
飛竜なんかバグだらけだし突貫工事で作らされた感ありありなんだけどｗステージ間の会話シーンなんか中国語やロシア語で喋ってるし
音楽もいかにもロシア的な旋律を研究して作られていてこれがゲームの世界観によく合っていて非常に映画的なんだよな。
結局飛竜２でも１の雰囲気の継承はできなかったし、初代こそがベストというね。
キャノンダンサーも未来のイスラム世界での戦いというあたりをもっと前面に出して世界観を構築していけば、またエキゾチックな面白さが出たのではと思う。

すごく難しそうだけど、面白そうですね。ただ...今は動画を見て楽しむしか方法が無いのが惜しい。

と思いきや・・・海外メーカーによるまさかのマルチプラットフォームでの完全移植ですよ。
20年以上経って、完全移植されるとは思いませんでした。
海外発売も見据えてパッケージ版もありますが、ヲタ用に限定版もちゃっかり発売していた模様w
きれいなグラフィックなのに容量が60MB以下だったことも発覚し、エミュレータ技術もさることながら当時のドッド屋さんの凄さが分かります。
スレイバーのデザインとか寺沢武一氏の影響受けていると思った

ミッチェルの技術力は当時相応にあったのである程度はミッチェルの人でしょうが、グラフィッカーの何人かはカプコン出身者だったかもですね。
今は、ある程度儲かったから休眠会社状態なのが残念。
