*What do you think?*
My brother, I don't get the fuss over Willian. How many matches did Palmer have before he came to Chelsea (less than 50). If you're good, nothing can change that. Cream always rise to the top
Well the difference is that Palmer grew up in England, and actually all games included, before he joined Chelsea, he had 105 games. Willian is going to be 18 when he leaves home to another continent.
Bro I totally agree. There needs to be a mechanism to hold the sporting directors accountable, otherwise they are just playing real life FM.
Especially those two at the club
Contracts for youngsters in the modern game, particularly for chelsea is all about player investment. Think about it for a minute. If you sign a 28 yr old and he it doesn't work in about a season or two, your investment has gone down the drain. Many of such players are typically expensive. Moreover, for a lot of them, such delas to chelsea are their final opportunity to sort themselves out financially before it all comes crashing down. Chelsea was operating like that under Abramovic. Hence, chelsea was always in the red , without our stadium being expanded. Of course, he( Abramovic) was filthy rich and could care less sometimes. With these tight financial fair play rules in the game these days, I believe this is the right approach for chelsea to stay solvent and competitive ling term. Please don't forget about how the season went south, even with so many experienced players, a couple of seasons ago when Clear Lake took over. That was when the switch to investing in younger players was firmed up. Finally, chelsea has always been robbed with overinflated players by other clubs every time we approached the so-called 'proven' players.
Fair point, but I think it is safe to say that there are plenty of experienced good players that don't cost much or are even free. Juve is the perfect example of that with all the free transfers that made them extremely dominant. Of course, that's one example but I can name a couple more.
Buying 28 year olds, is not a bad idea
THERE IS NOTHING THAT CHELSEA HAS LOST. WE HAVE BEEN USED TO OLD THINGS. WE NEED PLAYERS.
DID YOU SEE WHAT HAPPENED WHEN WE WERE NUMBER ONE ON PLAYERS WHO WERE INJURIES.
SO IF WE HAD REPLACEMENTS WE COUKD FINISH IN THE TOP FOUR.
Actually we had replacements, but the replacements were injured as well
Duran is Premier League proven.... He is not new to the setup same as Palmer when we bought him from City. I still like duran his speed not afraid to shoot, hold up play and strength is crazy.... His only weakness is injury cos he play with a lot of strength.
I have stop complaining all I do now is watch and enjoy the moment whether bad or good
I wouldn't call him proven just yet tho.
We can only sit back and watch and then complain or cheer lol
Guraissy benefited from space that wouldn't be available in the Prem.
It's our job to create spaces and for the striker to find it
I think it's crazy money but what can we do? The game is rigged
Yup
Extremely high price for for a 17 yo imo. Throwing money away
Yup
