- Why Estevao Willian 'MESSINHO' is a NEW FOOTBALL MONSTER for Chelsea
Estêvão Willian aka Messinho joins... not Barcelona... but Chelsea!
[Fabrizio Romano: here we go]
It's a BIG DEAL!
VERY. BIG. TRANSFER!
In fact, this is a history-making deal for the whole of South America!
Never before has someone paid THIS MUCH for an underage player!
Are you not entertained?
Here we go!
[Lets go!]
€40m + €25m for Messinho: expensive or cheap?
"Chelsea reach verbal agreement to sign Brazilian gem Willian Estevão, here we go! Palmeiras ready to accept final bid worth €40m plus €25m add-ons. Personal terms agreed 10 days ago, Estevão will join #CFC in 2025. Just waiting for Palmeiras president to sign,” Fabrizio Romano surprised everyone with his insight on the evening of May 18.
When the top transfer insider says... [here we go]... everyone in the world of football knows - THE DEAL IS ON!
Estevão Willian's name didn't just come out of nowhere on May 18 - the guy was already a highly hyped young talent even before Fabrizio's announcement.
And here lies the hidden danger of signings from the Brazilian market. Spinning a PR machine around a promising prospect is not a problem for modern agents who perfectly understand the art of selling their clients. Take, for example, the current situation of Vitor Roque, a super talent who was marketed as the “new Ronaldo Nazario” and for whom Barcelona have already paid €40m. It would seem to be an absolute win-win for all parties, but at the moment the Catalan side admits that the 19-year-old striker is not yet ready to compete at the top level and intends to loan the whiz kid to another club for a season, or even SELL him if they receive a generous offer!
That is why the reaction of Chelsea fans to this new transfer was rather 'mixed'!
Some are openly hype and celebrate the matter, writing tweets like:
'WE HAVE GENERATIONAL TALENT IN OUR HANDS, VAMOSSSSSSSS'
There is also an opposite opinion, based on the fact of Chelsea's over-investment in young, inexperienced players:
“It would be better if we signed a mature winger aged 25-27 with experience in the Premier League.”
Potentially, Todd Boehly is ready to pay €65m for a player who was very much wanted by Barcelona, Manchester United, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, PSG and other big teams, thus the 40m + 25m formula of the deal can be seen as a reassurance for Chelsea's officials. So far, the amount seems to be appropriate for Messinho's services in the transfer market, given the interest of others. And yet the Blues' transfer policy itself raises many questions and doubts...
Indeed, Chelsea spares no expense in landing young top talent - and especially players who can play across the whole up front area:
In June 2023, for example, the Blues announced the transfer of young Ecuadorian star Kendry Paez, paying €20m, 'but the main part in add-ons,' Romano notes, without specifying the exact sum, although rumours suggest that the total amount for the prospect could reach €50m. Or let's look at the case of Mykhailo Mudryk, who cost €70m... Moving on, Noni Madueke cost €35m, Cole Palmer €47m, and Christopher Nkunku €60m. Out of all mentioned purchases, only Palmer is performing at a consistently high level - the rest are bordering around potential 'transfer flop' label, except for Paez, of course, who will become a Chelsea player in 2025 when he turns 18. What do we get in total? €35m spent, of which only Cole Cold Palmer is actually working off the investments made in his move...
The pessimism of some Chelsea fans can be understood - why buy a 16-year-old “green” Brazilian, who can be called the “new Messi” or “new Neymar” for such a fabulous price, when there have already been many investments meant to bolster the attacking line with young players.
Will he become a new total disaster?
Obviously, the very fact of Chelsea winning the race for one of the most promising players of the new generation is a great accomplishment, considering the previously lost battle for Endrick to Real Madrid, so here we have to give Todd Boehly and his team at least some credit for the potential great generational talent that will represent them! That's why every Chelsea supporter has to leave a like to celebrate their high-profile signing!
After all, we should note the Blues' great work in the Brazilian market:
“Chelsea have scoured Brazil for young talent in the past two years, signing Andrey Santos, Deivid Washington and Angelo,” writes The Guardian journalist Jacob Steinberg. That said, at the moment, none of these talents have really shone through and made a name for themselves, adding more fuel to the skepticism surrounding Estevao's move...
Still, in our opinion, Messinho will surprise the demanding Stamford Bridge crowd, which again wants triumphs in the PL and on the European stage!
Messinho is a BEAST that has Ballon D'or potential! - Спорт
I still think paez is better
NO
Paez is better tbh
They are both for Chelsea after all 😂
Kendry will play 10
Paez is better no thinking
He's a great super star , a future world class player 💪🔥 We can't wait to have him in Chelsea 💙💙💙
Messinho to Chelsea, echevveri to man city, lamine yamal to Barcelona, endrick to Madrid, mainoo to man U (next generation)
We are building deadly future team.
Paez future is at the 10. People are sleeping on Chelsea. What a team we are building.
They will soon realize. Many teams will start copying Chelsea's strategy when things start working out
We still need a central defender. It's our biggest weakness
And what will you do about cole palmer? Or you feel paez would sit on the bench for ever.
@@okpeomojefe5844 Paez will learn from Palmer
It depends on the manager, how to combine all the younger player in Team Chelsea, Combination Messinho, Mykhailo Mudryk, Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, etc.
We've heard it all before. It's not the best talent, but professionalism, perseverance and positive influences that make a "gen" into a gem. As well as no major injuries and the right club moves at the right time.
We wIll see but it seems pricey , its a big stepup . He is young and hungry though so that helps .
Welcome to The Blues 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
Messinho is a different breed
Madueke has been very good you can’t call him a flop
Welcome to Chelsea, Messinho❤❤
He will have to fight for the centre position with Palmer, but can own d right as Nkunku hasn’t nailed it down yet.
I will believe it when I see it I hope he does come to chelsea and we keep him nurture him don't send him out on loan to get injured play him in a chelsea shirt
First choice is crazy
Can I be honest?
I'm Brazilian and I have a favorite team in each country. In England, I'm a Chelsea fan.
About Estevão Willian, it's amazing! He has everything to be a new Neymar, but playing with his left foot. I believe he can be better than Lamine Yamal, but at the moment, I don't think it's the best option for Estevão Willian to go to Chelsea. The team is disorganized and lacks a mix of experienced and young players to compete for titles. So, I don't think it would be the best choice for Estevão Willian to go to Chelsea today.
Relax he will come in the team in 3to4 years
@@patricktinashe2812 Gian Piero Gasperini will fix Chelsea if he in London now for the job.
You're free to be honest and wrong, in what world does competing for titles equal the best place for development of a young player, the project at Chelsea is very obviously to sign and play young players, i.e. the best place to develop for a young talent. 🤡
You’re Brazilian yet you forget the kid is still only 17 and probably won’t be in the first team for a good couple of years. We also may have added a few experienced players to the squad during that time and not to mention we currently don’t have a first team coach so who really knows which direction we’re going in.
@@MrPound4Pound1he needs to go to first team with 19 years like Vini Jr to learn with mistakes and develop his talents to the last level. The problem is that PL teams are not patient like Real Madrid with young players.
I miss the times when young and promising Brazilian talents would first start off at porto, psv, ajax or benfica. But these days, they all want to fly b4 they can work.
Chelsea FC is cooking something too hot for the world to swallow. Here we go❤
We have left footed attackers and i dont know where they gonna play.noni, palmer, willian, paez all in the team? I dont know
Someone at Chelsea is showing signs of trigger happy incompetence
I choose Paez
Never believe UA-cam
but we missed Endrick
Another good sell by Brazilian club.
Lucas Piazon ver.2.0
How many games did he have in a chelsea shirt? Chelsea is a waste club
@@chevarradio3854u just talk anyhow bro
They need to pass through psv or lower leagues like Ronaldo nazario players like this get build up not just easy it’s a gamble there taking
Timber is waiting for him 😂😂
Timber should try to fit first 😂😂
@@beautifulgame1935 his unfit one better than the entie back line of money laundry fc 🤣
Last i've seen Timber playing at high level in Champions League he was getting his ankle broken by Mudryk😂😂😂
We shall see lool... they said the same about Mudryk, Enzo and the rest of the 1.5 bil players 😂😂😂
Keep crying.
@babatundetemitayo5365 keep crying in conference league 🤣🤣.. perfect place for that criminal money laundry trash club lool
Stop playing and watch out Paez & Estavao what they are made off when they arrive Chelsea
@festuswilliam9815 loool only William is joining Chelsea smh
Chelsea will develop him and he will join barca when he is 21 or 22.. his dream is barca..he has enough time to come
It's funny how you think a broke club can buy a player that will cost 100m plus in 5 years time ,when they are able to pay their 700m plus dept then we can have the discussion of them pricing him away from chelsea..until then my bro rest ,it just empty dream
Barca is a dead dream .....fuck Barca you humiliated ronaldinho ..mmm. Now. Chelsea fc
0 ball knowledge, it's not 2010
@@raymondwuabu7060 sure.. will see if he becomes a 100mil player or another mudryk.. will surely have a talk then
Does Barca have the money, lol
60 mill for a player with 10 ga in his career
100 mil for Antony give us a break. Most of that amount is add ons anyway or performance related.
Coming from a cityzen antony was good before coming to the graveyard
Jealous much? 😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
@@victorian-dad bruh we got doku
He's generational talent, and so was Havertz. These overplyed labels!!! Generational talent, baller, world class. There's no proof in the pudding.

Is it a done deal?
Paez seems like a better player
Same hype for Angelo and yet we saw nothing
Did we give him chance?
Yea right Chelsea always o er hype playera who never actually get to play for thw club what a waste
About to be a big flop too.. All this hype for a player that won't make it in the Prem is crazy but so are the owners at Chelsea😂
Yeah you tell em mystic Meg. 😂🤦♂️
I wanna know where is new Kaka Lucas piazon?
Injured bro
this EPL
He is too petite and with his style of play, he would be crushed playing in EPL
Estevão Willian is the new Neymar but with his left foot. He will be much better than Lamine Yamal.
In my opinion, the only problem with Chelsea is that they invest only in young players. I think they should also sign more experienced players to balance the team.
Should’ve got Endrick instead
He is the next Richarlison.
Why do I keep seeing male athletes wearing sports bras?
Because they can pull the shirt up and not get booked in Brazil. If they show their tits they will get a card.
From what I heard, it works like a performance monitor. It measures heart rate, stamina, distance covered, calories, etc.
This guy will hopefully become Barca’s Mbappe. He will surely play in the Camp Nou one day with Lamine
In what wing will he play?
And barca will pay 350m for him.
Paez is more better than dis guy
he will get injury after few weeks
Back to sender
Chelsea are not serious at all, it's like they don't have a scout, wasting money
Aside his leg-over I'm sure he is still an underdeveloped player.
Yes he gotta great left foot however the EPL requires great technique or he will end up on the injury list in the end.
The hype indicates chelsea has over spent too early. Chelsea needs expirence over youthful inexpirence.
