I appreciate that you expressed the frustrating points of this model kit. Still -- I want one, even if I have to glue it down so that it cannot transform.
I've never transformed any kit... However looking at only the first two minutes of the process I already would have wanted to quit the whole transformation all together. Man this looks delicate and fragile. The review is great though! I'm glad you guys reviewed this kit in particular. I still... want to have it one day.
I just picked this kit up for completionist reasons. I'm an old school Gunpla builder, so I glue stuff that pops off. I glued MG Zeta Plus for similar reasons so probably gonna do that here.
Glad to find this vid. I'm building this kit now. I've heard some of the same negativity about this kit but I enjoy the challenge of the build and I'm a fan of Gundam. Also my wife got it for me so yeah, I kinda gotta build it.
I love alot of different gundam kits but honestly IMO overall the Zeta line has the most unique designs in the gundam universe also the head sculptures are gorgeous my favorite.
Sounds like the bottom line is "reinforce the joints or use an action base" and "pick a mode and keep it there." Which suits me fine, I think. I have a nice 'hangar' base I plan to display this kit in, with a special custom paint job (based on Ace Combat 5), so looking forward to making this my next project!
kinda weird that the mg delta plus doesnt seem to have any panel lines on the wings... the hg at least has 1 line along the edges while the hg zeta plus wings have details making it look like a real fighter jet wings
I'm so sorry for you Zeta Kai, this kit wasn't great at all! I hope you're not too upset, this is a good looking kit in the end. You made a great review as always, detailed, with good framings and enjoyable to watch. I wish you to build soon a Gunpla that can put a smile on the face, have a nice day and see you next time!
@@zetakai6731 You deserve them! It's horrible when a Gundam doesn't respect your expectations but if you made your best (as you always do) you can be proud of yourself and satisfied! Thanks for your answer and have a nice day!
I got this as a gift recently, just finished the build except for his shield and weapons, gotta finish those later. I didnt have much problems at all. I'd day the only problem is that its articulation is slightly hindered because its designed to transform, and that its harder to balance him cuz he can only put a lot of weight on the heels. C clips aren't a problem for me but maybe thats cuz i thought i goofed them by by clipping them on the wrong part which stretched them a little bit, so i put some superglue inside to tighten the connection back and now they clip on really well. Sure it may bot be the best MG kit but tbh i just love how it looks and i dont think i'll ever transform it :')
I've heard nothing good about MG Unicorn kits, just like this one, but i love every Unicorn kit I've done, so despite the negativity, I want this kit. Going in expecting a shit show keeps expectations low and I end up being pleasantly surprised.
@@fused481 Sinanju has extremely extremely challenging waterslides. It will take you days to get them on, only for some of it fall off. Also a notable weak point in the torso, that is difficult to fix.
They are not wrong. I built the entire regular release MG and RE/100 Unicorn line save for the regular Rezel. Other than the Rezels and Jesta, the Unicorns are transformable kits thus decreasing stability, and hard to transform, notably chest and shoulders. Considering the Banshee and Phenex are based off the same Unicorn design, you are more less building the same suit with the same problems. The Sinanju would have been good but the waterslides are a nightmare, especially the regular ova one, and takes days, plus a notable torso weak point that you cannot easily swap with a replacement. Banshee claw positions are confusing. The Unicorn front skits are prone to breaking off due a to a weak connection. The SEED MG line is far superior. If the kits weren't connected to an overpraised Universal Century tie in these kits would easily be the worst selling kits. Other than the Jesta and Rezels, these are kits you display on action base and don't touch.
Just finished Unicorn. I’m such a big fan of all the MSN/Hyakushiki-esque suits, so when I saw this it was a must get. If only Riddhe piloted this beast longer.
imo its a fine mg for what it is. I have it and it fine. Mine transforms, hold the weapons fine affter you fiddle with it a bit. Decent articulation for a transforming kit. I do with they had the swapable finger hands and a universal joint instead of a ball join for the legs. Its fine. I like it, not my favorite but I mean its fine for me. The balancing is a little weird though. and you can just tighten up the joints if you have problems with em. I didn't though.
Yeah, I like this one. Its not my favorite but its fine. Its has decents articulation for a transforming kit and it looks like a delta plus. Just some wierd balancing. I have a few transforming kits and this one is in the middle of them. and its meant for more ariel poses and you can just buy an action base.
the ReZel type C MG was the kit that I just couldn't finish transforming. I just couldn't handle the floppiness. Masterpiece size Transformers are my main collection so it's not like I haven't had to deal with annoying transformations. but with nothing actually tabbing into place it just felt like you were folding and folding and folding with nothing ever really securing itself down.
Suggestion I have been wondering what would make a unbalanced kit more stable glue some rubber stoppers to the boots or add some weight inside the boots while assembling.
Imho, If it was a flying unit, so pose it with action base....because it supposed to be flying and hovering not walking and standing like ground type....
I just buy this kit, and this is my first build gundam, he looks like weltall from xenogear somehow, that is why i decided to buy it, not because the transformation feature, oh yeah i have a problem with its finger, both hand can hold the weapons, any idea
I actually had to decide if I want to buy this or the buster Gundam Of course I picked the buster Gundam because even though the Delta plus is cool looking from what I've heard this thing breaks easily so I just want a cool but also sturdy kit I really want bandai to make a master grade 2.0 delta plus Edit: but what do I know I am the guy who bought mg age 2-normal
You must be a mind reader I just ordered this bad boy over Hyakushiki he will be next on my list then I just seen your Zeta III review so he's another I'm gonna be getting soon also.
Literally just ripped this kit to pieces with my hands. Transformed it into flight mode when I finished it and just left it on my shelf for years. Decided to attempt to transform it back to robot mode recently and three of the clips snapped. Ive been attempting to pose it but its so awkward to the touch. Finally decided I was sick of having it around. Such an awful kit. Real shame since it's a nice design
Ooooh crap. I just started assembling mine. I've completed the torso and the rib plates kept unsnapping and it was kinda of a pain already, to the point I've already figured I would watch a video of the transformation instead of even trying it. But in my opinion it is still one of the best looking ones. There are basically no places where the design is spoiled, at least as a robot, but as a jet of course they'd have its hands grabbing its balls as it flies, godfuckingdammit. Animes don't seem to get it ever completely right (in *my* opinion), Michael Bay just rapes them, I don't expect a fighter/robot to be properly portrayed in my lifetime.
what is it with reviewers being so freaking rough with these transformable kits, just have some patience man! so much bad pr for this kit from people who treat it as an action figure ugh
Knowing others' interactions with the Delta Plus, I treated this kit with more care than 90% of my previous 350+ builds. I think it's fair to convey my experiences to other builders. In my opinion, to hide or mitigate issues with a kit would be disingenuous.
I appreciate that you expressed the frustrating points of this model kit. Still -- I want one, even if I have to glue it down so that it cannot transform.
The grey and navy blue just makes the delta plus even more menacing and realistic.
No matter how “bad” this kit is, nobody can deny that it looks pretty damn cool.
I think this is its saving grace, it look damn cool.
I also tracked down MG Rezel Commander type for a good price in Japan.

nice review, looking forward for more upcoming gunpla kits.

It's such a shame cuz i really really like the look of this kit
I'm definitely keeping this guy in Mobile Suit mode forever when i pick it up lol
Just came across this video.
Wondering if the light blue/warm white Zeta on the far left is a custom or an actual kit.
The kit looks cool i always wanted to get a hyaku shiki 2.0/ hyaku shiki crash and this one however getting them is hard or overpriced..
Is it a problem if this is one of my favourite Mg that i own?
Not at all! I love plenty of kits that aren't "great kits".

Having binged Unicorn a while back, I can guess there's a reason Riddhe went for the Banshee as soon as it was available to him.

Planning to buy this kit because i like how it looks, i dont plan to transform it but, it seems in a robot mode is still frustrating..
Hey I’m new to building these. What’s the gundam model name at 16:45, the red one? Thank you! Great review btw 👍🏻
bit late but the red zeta is the MG Red-Zeta from an OVA series, not entirely sure if its p-bandai or not

No
It's like the Delta Plus is remarkable for being unremarkable.
So its a hyaku shiki

it is a really nice design BUT too bad it is a hand grenade kits hope this kits get RG or MG2.0
