Why spend an extra $40-50ish on the $90-100 White Dingo version if you can just get this for about $40 and a couple of cans of white and dark grey spray paint for about $5? Hell, even if you want the weapons and shield found with the White Dingo, you can still get them but spend less by buying the MG GM Ground Type for about $30, which has those weapons, AFAIK. Hell, that's more value for slightly less, since you're getting two MGs, and you can repaint the GM Ground Type into a White Dingo as well! All you'd be missing would be the Bazooka and the stickers, but honestly, you can buy the stickers separately, and who buys Snipers for their Bazookas?
1:26 Gonna counter your complaint cause the grey circles on the legs only exist on that packagimg art and instructions the vents have always been the same blue on the legs
Pretty sure it uses the exact same inner frame as the mg rx-78-2 ver 2.0, excluding some parts of the waist and chest. All of that articulation is the exact same on the two kits, even the shoulder joints which did not change. Interesting note.
RedTeamReview It looks like one of the types of display stands that come with certain kits so it doesnt really have a name. Edit: The stand comes with the Mg Psycho Zaku/ hg gn arms
What would you recommend to panel line on this kit? I’ve only bought one other kit in the past, and I’ve never panel lined. I’ve watched your video on panel lining though and I’m feeling confident.
of all the gunpla youtubers , mecha is the only one who can really do nice poses for their models. all the others, especially syd of gunpla tv , are like bookshop employees .
what really bugs me with this kit is the pilot, you can open the cockpit but the joint is exactly in front of the pilots head and when you open it you can only see his feet. kinda pointless. but i guess its nice knowing there is a pilot in there somewhere
Another $40 Master Grade like the Freedom 2.0? YES PLEASE. Also yeah, you got it, bipod. Really digging the kit. I'm hoping one day for a new MG Exia 2.0 or PG Exia. I'm not really a fan of the 00's Raiser backpack, so I feel like buying the PG for it would be a waste. The MG Exia had numerous issues, especially in articulation in the feet and the clear plastic ribbons in the shoulder area. My 1/100 Vidar should arrive at the end of this week, been out of stock since its release everywhere, so I ended up having to pre-order from the second batch. Currently got a second 1/100 Graze to assemble and custom paint, Freedom 2.0 to assemble, and a Hyaku Shiki 2.0 to finish up. Not to mention decal work for a bunch of kits.
Dang I need to get this asap, I never have enough blue mobile suits. But the articulation of this kit is exactly why i wish Bandai would ditch transformations in other kits. Just give me a solid, super posable kit, not a fiddly morbidly obese jet
My favorite Feddie grunt is the Nero. I like them so much that I spent almost $400 on the overpriced RDs (all 3 of them). One can only dream for a MG Nero.
I have mine on the way and I'm going to paint mine in a black ecoas or maybe Londo bell color scheme I'm also thinking about modding the left leg to hold the bull pop machine gun
One little thing that bugs the crap out of me with the rifle. It has no ammunition. The magazines are all for the bullpup machine gun. This rifle is one that uses shell based munitions. The White dingo version is the one with the beam sniper rifle, so I find it a bit of an oversight.
Why do you think it's a beam rifle? The kit manual didn't say anything about that as far as I can see. It did, however, mention that the Sniper II could be equipped with a shell-firing sniper rifle. I can only assume they're talking about the rifle that comes with the kit, which also happens to look like the shell-firing sniper rifle the Sniper II used in the anime. As for the inclusion of ammo - the sniper rifle takes a small 5-round magazine (according to the old illustrations) - if they had included this with the kit it wouldn't have been much to look at, and they'd have had to open up a hole in the top of the rifle to slide it in. Just as well to skip it IMO.
Should be getting mine about monday next week. The wait is agonizing. I'm thinking I'll give it the top coat and dry brush treatment I gave my FA Gundam.
I've been planning to buy this for my burthday and paint it into black + gunmetal gray and give it some custom kitbasttreatment to make it "GM Assassin". Too bad that it doesn't have clear visor parts since I'd like to repaint it red, but I guess metallic has to do... Also, I personally take swapable fingers over fear of breaking posable finger joints any day
I was wondering if you have any tips on how to find out what paint you'll need for models (for those that want to do exact color of them from the shows, like on website or something.) Cause I plan to buy one of the older Evangelion 1.0 Eva -00, I heard that the Japanese instructions are still easy to follow with the pictures without knowing any Japanese. and I always wanted to do modeling kits. this is my first time trying to do a model kit, I usually stick to Figma's and Revoltech, but after wanting something bigger that's on the cheaper end (i.e. non RAHs). So I decided its time to start doing some model kits. thanks!
would love this rx78-2 2.0 reskin treatment also for the RX 79 (both ground and EZ8) and the ALEX! both need 2.0s soooooooo bad! but My order for this, from HLJ should be here Wed.
is there some variations between kits? Cause mine has really secure connections on the neck and hands. My problem is the legs. Can't get them to stop falling out of the hips.
A lot of sniper types have that visor. Check Gundams like GN-002 Gundam Dynames, GN-002RE Gundam Dynames Repair, GN-006 Cherudim Gundam, GN-006/SA Cherudim Gundam SAGA, GN-006GNHW/R Cherudim Gundam GNHW/R, and GN-010 Gundam Zabanya.
logically and technologically speaking, the visor probably projects what the scope sees to the pilot. So poses tht makes the robot look through the scope really peeves me off.
My only complaint with the kit is that the rifle's butt doesn't rest against the shoulder while in the firing position- it just kinda hangs out under the arm. The only kit I've seen pull off the kneeling, butt-against-the-shoulder, aiming-down-the-sights firing pose well is the HG Zaku II Origins version.
How do the legs work for your kit, mine are loose at the hips and pop out of the skirt section...cant even hold the crouched sniping pose with out wanting to pop out
I really like the kit, but I feel it is entirely out of date with regards to surface detail. I agree that kits don't need insane amounts of bells and whistles if that hurts playability, but i also find that MG's should be a noteable step up from HG kits and should be equal to, if not better than RG's in their looks (except for the colour separation, that 3 tone armour gimmick is very RG). That is one of the main advantages of their size and something that should come with the price. The lack of grey vents you mentioned and also just the lack of general colour separation I find fairly painful. There are so many flat light and dark blue surfaces with a few details sculpted into them that entirely disappear because it's nothing more than simple sculpting, rather than separate parts. Imo, the perfect example of a good MG is the freedom 2.0, it balances extremely well (except for when you prop the wings back entirely), it has insane articulation, it has awesome surface details, it doesn't have too many gimmicks, yet it's also an engineering master piece. The moving armor plates, extendable joints, tiny design choices to help playability (like locking the feet to increase stability) etcetera. This kit i find a huge step down in those regards, even though the playability of it is very high. It doesn't look MG to me.
I'm guessing you bought a HASHMAL due to the BZZZTTT machine vision (basically how I imagine an AI's "Vision" would look like) and the "Dead" Victory Gundam (which is a pretty small mech) Amirite?
Is This really the GM Sniper 2? on my opinion there is not really much Difference on GM Sniper 1. But the color separation is so Great! Cheers Mecha G. :)
I put one of these together this month and where I have an issue is where the legs connect into the waist section. If I try to pose the sniper the legs fall out=[
I was having the same problem too with my GM. I looked on Google how to fix loose joints and someone in reddit said that they used stick tack and I remembered I had some on a poster so I took a bit off and applied it to both pegs that go into the waist. You should get some stick tack. It hold the parts in place really well.
+Aaron Joshua I've never seen anything between the original Gundam and Gundam Unicorn :) If you enjoy the show I think you'll get a lot more pleasure out of building them, but it's not essential.
Why spend an extra $40-50ish on the $90-100 White Dingo version if you can just get this for about $40 and a couple of cans of white and dark grey spray paint for about $5? i am glad that you are making these kind of reviews again. (with effort, more in depth, and not in a hurry)
I love that it looks so good and natural in that kneeling stance, none of that slight backwards lean some kits have.
1:26 Gonna counter your complaint cause the grey circles on the legs only exist on that packagimg art and instructions the vents have always been the same blue on the legs
More and more I see this kit the more I want it.
Pretty sure it uses the exact same inner frame as the mg rx-78-2 ver 2.0, excluding some parts of the waist and chest. All of that articulation is the exact same on the two kits, even the shoulder joints which did not change. Interesting note.
after years i finally have this kit!! looking forward to building it
I’m getting this pretty soon as well. This is one of my favorite grunt suits.
daaaam just imagine what you can do with the stickers and some dry brushing!! I need to get mY hands on one the these *~*
(that ending thoo...)
Been saving up a mg think I’m gonna go with this one
I really like how the video got narrated. it sounds like a premium channel.
10:19 you got me there
Where is part 2 for MG Full Armor Gundam
what is the name of the display base. looks different than the one I got
RedTeamReview It looks like one of the types of display stands that come with certain kits so it doesnt really have a name.
Edit: The stand comes with the Mg Psycho Zaku/ hg gn arms
+RedTeamReview that's the one that comes with the MG Thunderbolt
Mecha Gaikotsu .......nvm then lol
Lmao
Easily my favorite MG in the past 5 years! I have built and painted 3 of these so far.
This has to be my favourite master grade model kit
I hadn't planned on getting this kit. But after this review it's on my Buy List. It'll look great after a giving it a black ops sort of paint job.
I’ve had my eye on this kit for a while now
What would you recommend to panel line on this kit? I’ve only bought one other kit in the past, and I’ve never panel lined. I’ve watched your video on panel lining though and I’m feeling confident.
the white dingo p bandai they showed looks real nice
of all the gunpla youtubers , mecha is the only one who can really do nice poses for their models. all the others, especially syd of gunpla tv , are like bookshop employees .
+ray Amuro what do you mean? Syd is master of gunpla posing!
www.gaijin-gunpla.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/IMG_5560.jpg
yeah thats a nice pose alright haha! i rest my case..
The heck was that ending??
what really bugs me with this kit is the pilot, you can open the cockpit but the joint is exactly in front of the pilots head and when you open it you can only see his feet. kinda pointless. but i guess its nice knowing there is a pilot in there somewhere
I have two of these and idk why but the left shoulder hinge in the torso is very loose
What the fuck was that at the end of the vid?
Hiruma Berserker What?
Check 10:19
Be careful if you're wearing headphones or if your speaker volume is turned up.
You'll get *shocked*.
Damn I just finish watching gameplays of resident evil 7, I thought there are zombies poping out
Xi WU I know right?
Hiruma Berserker we all got seven days then that smoke from the ring gives us a z-jay
according to main illustration of GM sniper ii, that 5 holes on elbow and calf is just same colour as GM sniper itself.
MG GM Sniper K9???
Another $40 Master Grade like the Freedom 2.0? YES PLEASE. Also yeah, you got it, bipod. Really digging the kit. I'm hoping one day for a new MG Exia 2.0 or PG Exia. I'm currently working on this kit and I've decided to go with the number 06 on the right shoulder and nothing else for decals.
I like my gunpla square
I took the neck piece off, it allows for a much more stable head connection and the head sits so low that you don't even notice the missing piece
I'm planning to get that kit to make a dark grey red and white custom on the white dingo.
Man I really love your reviews keep up the good work
I have mine on the way and I'm going to paint mine in a black ecoas or maybe Londo bell color scheme I'm also thinking about modding the left leg to hold the bull pop machine gun
Original MeemBird I would since it doesn't have any bad seams and it looks really good straight assembled not to mention the cost
just finished the build and this kit is god tier
One little thing that bugs the crap out of me with the rifle. It has no ammunition. The magazines are all for the bullpup machine gun. This rifle is one that uses shell based munitions. The White dingo version is the one with the beam sniper rifle, so I find it a bit of an oversight.
MuShinnen This is also a beam sniper rifle, it's a different version
Why do you think it's a beam rifle? The kit manual didn't say anything about that as far as I can see. It did, however, mention that the Sniper II could be equipped with a shell-firing sniper rifle. Just as well to skip it IMO.
This kinda reminds me of Kurz's M9
Edit: the kit made by bandai tho
I don't get why people throw out the runners. I keep them. Just 8n case.
so simple yet so awesome.
Should be getting mine about monday next week. The wait is agonizing. I'm thinking I'll give it the top coat and dry brush treatment I gave my FA Gundam.
I want to get my hands on one of these converted into the sniper K9
This would be great with a urban camo paint job and a ghille.
Victory Gundam?
バンダイがコレをMGでだしてくれて本当に嬉しい
I've been planning to buy this for my burthday and paint it into black + gunmetal gray and give it some custom kitbasttreatment to make it "GM Assassin". Too bad that it doesn't have clear visor parts since I'd like to repaint it red, but I guess metallic has to do...
Also, I personally take swapable fingers over fear of breaking posable finger joints any day
that shinning scope is awesome
Minor thing I’m asking is this a gold tier or a silver tier?
The more I see this kit, the more I like it.

thanks!
wish it was darker like in the box art
thank you for this review.
What was that in the end?
Arent the pictures on the box painted? I mean, thats (maybe) why those circles werent black
would love this rx78-2 2.0 reskin treatment also for the RX 79 (both ground and EZ8) and the ALEX! both need 2.0s soooooooo bad!
but My order for this, from HLJ should be here Wed.
is there some variations between kits? Cause mine has really secure connections on the neck and hands. My problem is the legs. Can't get them to stop falling out of the hips.
There will be a slight variation due to production issue, but most of the time it wouldn't be that big of a problem
I can not get the fingers to stay on at all...either the open hand or the closed fist so far.
Do you have any Stick Tack? I used it on gunplas loose joints and it great.
So whats the purpose of visor? For sniping? So why does the Rifle have scope?
A lot of sniper types have that visor.
Check Gundams like GN-002 Gundam Dynames, GN-002RE Gundam Dynames Repair, GN-006 Cherudim Gundam, GN-006/SA Cherudim Gundam SAGA, GN-006GNHW/R Cherudim Gundam GNHW/R, and GN-010 Gundam Zabanya.
TL:DR; Dynames, Cherudim and Zabanya got that too.
A. S. ...which is what I said.
yes but he gets eye cancer with all those serial numbers and useless variations ;)
logically and technologically speaking, the visor probably projects what the scope sees to the pilot.
So poses tht makes the robot look through the scope really peeves me off.
On mine the ankles have a problem of falling off, that makes it a pain to pose.
Great review as always. I think it's called a rifle stand.
Btw what's that at 10:19?
it's actually a Bipod.
Yeah, this kit needs to be painted and detailed if you don't want it to look like it came from a happy meal.
How do the legs work for your kit, mine are loose at the hips and pop out of the skirt section...cant even hold the crouched sniping pose with out wanting to pop out
I really like the kit, but I feel it is entirely out of date with regards to surface detail. Because people buying grunt suits or old school UC suites doesn't asked for insane amount of details?
This is gonna be my first MG
How’s the kit
I'm guessing you bought a HASHMAL due to the BZZZTTT machine vision (basically how I imagine an AI's "Vision" would look like) and the "Dead" Victory Gundam (which is a pretty small mech)
Amirite?
theArcanaOFZero
Y-yeah?
My favorite gm ever
this is my first master grade built it yesterday it was fun
Derpy's Creed thinking about getting it, is it worth it?
Mecha do a vs video on the GM Sniper 2 and the Jesta
This mobile suit should’ve had an appearance in Gundam Thunderbolt
Looking forward to getting mine Gai. When I do, if you could maybe stop by for a watch, I'd appreciate it!!
Where can I find the photography pics of the boye?
please do the cross bone gundam full cloth
Is This really the GM Sniper 2? on my opinion there is not really much Difference on GM Sniper 1. But the color separation is so Great!
Cheers Mecha G. :)
When will you be making your best master grades from 2016
I'd buy it were it not backordered two months.
I put one of these together this month and where I have an issue is where the legs connect into the waist section. If I try to pose the sniper the legs fall out=[

I feel you with the fingers
the only reason im not getting this is the color
Nicky1988 would you git the white Dingo version?
yea maybe if it looks good
or the k9 as an mg would be cool too
Nicky1988 I'm getting both as they are being released far enough apart that I can save up the money for them.
What's wrong with the color it seems like I am one of the few who loves the colors
Do the gm sniper custom plz.
Does this go to scale with the revival gundam?
somebody once told me the world is gonna rule me I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed....
Take me way too long to get this dang Kit.
Why the creepy shots at the end??!
you, my friend, just got yourself a new subcriber....
Yes.. it is called a bi-pod..
what gundam show was it in?
What's with the v in the end
I got mine but the joints are really loose, foes anyone have advice to fix that? or do you find that you bave the same problem?
Get Stick Tack it works great for loose joints.
Is there a metal detail kit for this?
pls make a zaku ii master grade version
how tall is it? Im new to gunpla so i am clueless
Master Grades like this one tend to be around 18cm tall
Lol Bandai is a little drunk with stickers lately. The HG Geirail tells you to cover a yellow plastic piece with a yellow sticker.
What kind of Stand is that
What tier would you put this in?
No cockpit?
There is, he’s just to lazy to mention it.
was that end part a gundam being destroyed wtf
urgent question, should I get into the show in order to make the models?
+Aaron Joshua I've never seen anything between the original Gundam and Gundam Unicorn :)
If you enjoy the show I think you'll get a lot more pleasure out of building them, but it's not essential.
Mecha Gaikotsu omg thanks a lot love your videos
The thing is called a bipod.
the hg lupus cracked me up😂😂😂😂😂
2021?
Where is your mg gm quel?
