I use a K&N filter so it can be removed with a 17mm socket so no need for special wrench but don't install it with a socket. It can cause a crack in the welds on the nut. It tell you that on the instructions.
I normally use all K&N filters on my vehicles, but I guess for convenience I went with the overpriced HD oil change kit with everything in it. They filters with the built in nut do come in handy, especially in tight spots like in these bikes and other vehicles, that’s for sure!
Advanblack sells the whole kit. It is a quick release as well and comes with the add on pieces/spacers you need !! So if you don’t put in the lights, super easy to remove. If you add the lights, you can get a plug and play setup from Custom Dynamics. They might say you can’t, I had to talk with several techs before we figured out what I needed. If you go that route and add a light, holler back at me and I can gather part numbers for you if you need them.

What did you use for mounting a tour pack ? Would love one that’s somewhat detachable for the wife when she wants to cruise?
