Love the bike ! I just came across your channel in my feed actually. I'm happy to support your efforts and those of other fellow moto content creators. I look forward to seeing and hearing more from you in the future ; keep up the great work and ride safe out there.
Thank you very much for the kind words! I will do my best to keep everyone entertained. I believe I will be doing the 5000 mile service and installing the anti vibration clip in for the next video. Stay tuned and stay safe out there!
Haha. Around the 9 min mark you said to the car on your right - don't do it! I do the same thing all the time . I think that squeek is brake noise. I have the Rockford fosgate on mine and I like it. Once I got dialed in with the HD eq I have enjoyee it a lot more.
Im 5'6" 130lb and ride a 19 Road King. learn the fundamental and continue to practice them and any bike can be your first. I put on tap performance 50 cal with zombie baffles love them. DEEP TONE and only loud when you want them to be.
if you're adding a quart at 4K miles, you probably have a leak or it's burning. None of my HD's needed oil between oil changes. Make sure it's warm and on kick stand when you check it.
That line on your tires is from the molding process, it is not a defect. I am on my second set of tires on my lowrider s and they are both identical. While the scorcher 31's don't last particularly long I think they performe very well.
I am happy with the performance on the tire as well. I went ahead and ordered a new back tire, still have some life on the front. Thank you for noting the molding process, I wasn’t aware that is how these tires were/are made. Thanks for watching!
I don’t blame you one bit! My heated gloves I have work, but after putting them on my ninja, I truly understood why so many other go with grips vs big bulky gloves. Well my glove are big, obviously you can pick choose gloves too lol. Enjoy the ride and stay safe!!
Ive got around 12000 on mine. First thing to get changed was those god awful michelin scorchers. I barely got 3000 out of them. Their performance is not worth the cost. Ive done pipe, intake, tuner, bars, rear pegs, seat, backrest, taillight and front running lights. Considering a cam next season. The bikes got plenty of power as is when you let it breathe.
I was thinking about trading in my ultra classic for the low rider st. I was just wondering if the insurance was outrageous on thay bike. You dont have to answer that i know thats a personal question, but yeah thats a badass bike
I pay 73 a month with State Farm. No wrecks within 5 years and a discount for multi line and safe driving. My Ninja is 11 dollars more lol. It’s a fun bike for sure, and after watching Holyshift play around with his with the Star 30/30 cam and Sawicki exhaust…. Has me thinking he stumbled upon a perfect setup for this bike.
It is a Garmin Zumo XT GPS unit. It is connected to my phone and headset (Cardo)via Bluetooth. I can choose my music, get GPS direction and some other items, points of interest with it. I mainly use it to switch between playlists to honest with you though.
I have close to 1000 miles on my lowrider st. I agree w where the bike rpm likes to sit. I keep it at 26 to 33k rpm otherwise it seems to lug. My bike seems to have lost a little torque.
I don’t think mine has lost any torque, more so as I have gotten used to it. Sometimes it still surprises me and I realize I wasn’t “braced” for the acceleration. But I would say it felt better in lower rpm/higher gears when I first got it, vs now that it is broken in. It’s like nah stay in 5th a little longer or even 4th, depending on speed limits, etc.
With bikes, you have to get the rpm's up sometimes. I don't quite know how to explain it but I think it builds up compression. Not saying do it all the time. When I get on the highway I do this and it seems to ride better as apposed to lugging it. Hope that makes sense.
hows the bike do with 2 up riding and the tourpack on the back? im wanting to trade my 21 ultra in for a low rider st 24 model that is already built to what i want with cam and turbo kit setup. just wanted to see if adding tourpack would be good for the wife to ride. thanks awesome channel
The saddlemen seat is narrow, so that part would be passenger preference. I’ve only rode two up a handful of times , but got no complaints other than the saddlemen seat. As for me, I couldn’t tell they were back there. I added the tour pack for crap I take to work mostly, not for two up. Sorry that I can’t offer more pros or cons than that.
I agree. There is not a lot of stopping power there, I have my pedal has high as I can position it due to my mini floor boards also. It definitely doesn’t grab like the rear brake on my ninja that’s for sure. But I do use it constantly and most of the time already have it applied before grabbing the front brake. Keeps us posted on what the dealer says. Thanks for watching!
I added the Greene Brothers Design rear brake linkage and it allowed for much more adjustment of the rear brake pedal. Made a big difference. Definitely worth a look for any FXLRST owner.
No, I haven’t. I put a new back tire on as it was wearing out and I had a plug in it. The dealership did install that and of course test road. They haven’t mentioned the noise when stopping and the way they charge, I don’t really want to give them an incentive to keep the bike to investigate. I now have 6589 miles on it and the front tire is still going strong an the oil level is doing fine so far.
Not bad at all. All my passengers so far have been in the smaller size 5’ to 5’5” and 100 to 120lbs. Main complaint has been the saddlemen seat being uncomfortable, but I didn’t notice any one of them there.
It is a garmin zumo xt. It is the 5.5” one. I haven’t found that I like it for specific routing, I still use google maps for that. But to control music from my phone and just have a map that is readily available, I like it for that. I have thought about getting a Carpuride and seeing how that works as it is a phone mirror (half the price of the garmin) because I do like google maps so much.
It is a Garmin Zumo XT navigation GPS. It is annoying to program specific routes into it, but works great for a to b. Also let’s me cycle through my playlists very easily. The one I have is the 5.5” one. They now offer a 6” one, but there are other phone mirror screens such as Ottocast and Carpuride that offer CarPlay and Android auto that are half the price of the Garmin. I’ve ordered a quadlock to put on the Harley since I prefer google maps.
Sad that this bike is ~$26000 otd, yet QC sucks… and need to spend another $1500 to make it fit buyer. I love Harley, but it’s waay over priced. Cmon now Harley. This should be $19k MSRP, max… of a bike.

Possibly came from the dealer low.

Heated grips are going to be the first thing I'm adding to my 2023.

Sounds like you got her sitting pretty!! What tires did you end up going to?

@@Riding_with_Adam nice wasn’t aware it could do all that

I was wondering how you found the rear brake to be. On mine it is almost unusable, and I am having the dealer look at it shortly.

I have that on as well. I often forget that I added it to the bike. A solid buy though.
It's common with the st. Mushy rear brakes.
I don't know why.
Dominator motorcycles make a light cover that’ll keep the light ring in
Awesome! That’s good to go. Right now the replacement one I got has been doing the job, it if I lose this one I will check them out.
Did you call the dealership about any of that stuff. I would

It’s the brakes😊
What’s the screen you have on the left side?

@@Riding_with_Adam thanks man. You should do a video of what mods you got on the ST. Keep it up bro!
@supercaliburbrothers492 thank you for the kind words!! I probably will do that soon.
