Gunhead (First Impressions): Adding a New Dimension

Cryptark's 3D transformation goes well, for the most part.

Gunhead allows you to shoot everything from every arm and leg: but you need more then firepower in order to succeed. A successor to Cryptark, this game puts the strategy in strategy action games, and I'm here to give you my first impressions.

Returnal had a fantastic radar system, something like that looks like it would be very beneficial here.

It did, although I do wonder when I think about it if it would become too much of a crutch for the type of game this is. I keep going back and forth on it. But yeah, it definitely would help.

huh yeah ive seen a lot of mech games or 6dof shooters that place the radar front and center and provide better info on whether nearby objects are above/below you, surprised they didn't do something like that. but onto the real important stuff - can you customize your mech at all? paint/decals/funny head?

No mech customization from the look perspective, but you also don't really see it from the first person perspective at all in mission. At least.... I don't think you do. It's possible it unlocks with a full successful run, but I have no reason to believe it exists.
