Wow, I thankful that I found this video. I am from karnataka myself but never knew how to prepare this sweet using sugar without compromising on taste. Finding jaggery in my place is not easy and this receipe helped out. Thank you sir

Was lucky enough to taste this recipe prepared by chef Venkatesh Bhatt himself. I actually ran out of words to explain. It was divine and beyond. While he was cooking it actually felt like we are in a temple. The aromas were that profound. ❤❤❤❤ It’s absolutely beyond amazing.

I tried this receipe today, tasted good but became hard in few minutes. Realised that I have added too much Jaggery water.
Altered it again by adding more water and heating, it became like regular parupu payasam. Will try again with right proportions.
My 4 yr old son is your big fan 😊 and he loves to help in kitchen.

Its a special Prasadam offered to Lord Lakshmi Narasimha in our Madhwa Brahmin community. We add 2 table spoons of roasted khus khus to this dish.it adds a wonderful flavour and crunchy texture. Nicely explained and done Chef.👍👍

We make the same sweet, but we grind the soaked channa dhall coarsely and fry it like usili in ghee, add sugar and grated coconut, cashews, dry grapes and cardamom. We call it Kadalai paruppu sweet usili .
