Thanks for another great video. I started a true bush whack hike with my dog on leash 1mile through thick brush only to discover the creek was over run with flies... we back tracked (60lb pack by the way) jumped in the truck, found a logging road, bush whacked another 1-1/2 mile through thick forest and landed in a very remote spot underneath a beautiful cedar grove next to rapids on a river. It turned out to be one of the most adventurous and beautiful trips ever. So much fun! I am in love with that Ti Tea Kettle, where might I get my hands on one? And I will take one of the white or tan canvas bags for my new T1 Stove-yes please.
Thank you sir. I will head to your site and check it out. Take care up there and hope everyone is staying healthy and in good spirits. ! I am speaking to you from Minnesota BTW
At 16:55 why do you chop the already sawed up pieces, in half? Does it make the wood burn slower and last longer when cut like that? Or you just like them in smaller pieces?
Last weekend actually. Headed up some logging roads and my truck decided it didn’t want to play anymore, couldn’t get up the trails and had to back down icy roads for 2 miles, ended up setting my hammock up around 9 at night and tried to round up firewood since it was 20* F, rough night but was fun. Love your channel and I’m looking into hot tents now.
Hi again. I have a Boreal 21 (yellow handle) and it's sitting in the flimsy Agawa box it came in. A green canvas saw pouch would be a fantastic addition to my kit. Basic (reinforced?) stitching at the bottom would be fine, but one side wrapping under the pouch and up the other side would feel more secure, and perhaps give the option of creating a small external pocket on the pouch. How do we make this happen?
I really like the green color you chose and the white for the canvas. Both will look good once they wear and age a bit. Great idea to supply home made gear for those who need it. I think you will be busy. Awesome outing, love the frozen lake shots, beautiful.

It would look great in mix so in summer- green and in winter- white or reverse them use different colors depending on the type of camping/bushcrafting you are doing (tarp, tent, or hammock)
An alternative to using a canvas cloth to hold the stove would be to wrap it with a 2'x3' welding blanket and cordage. That way it serves both as protection for the stove while carrying AND as protection of the earth (or the tent wall) from getting scorched when in use.

I like the earthy colors that you use. More so the fact that they are hand made makes them more valued. How about making a folding chair for yourself, or do you prefer kneeling on one knee. By the way I am from the Bahamas and we don't have the cold and snow that you have, but I love nature that is why I watch your shows. I have only camped once and it was fun because we fished for our food.

Love the video! Your camera work and editing are excellent. We recently started recording some of our adventures and are learning a lot from watching yours!! Well done.
A terrible trip experience I had was when I went to a new location and was going to scout around and stay overnight. Absolutely no flat ground to be found, (wish I had my hammock with me) after hiking for two to three hours I ran into someone else who was also looking for a spot. We found a campsite on the map and had to hike the five miles there, arrived in pitch black darkness, but we had an amazing view in the morning of the fog rolling across the lake. Worth every mile hiked that weekend.
I could have used a spot like this years ago I felt like I was standing on a balance beam and falling and not knowing where I was falling to I lived over 300+ miles from family so I spent every weekend travelling to visit them (recharging my battery- to say) and returning to the place I lived early morning I got back in time to change and go to work on Monday just to repeat it on Friday but at the time I needed to do this I had no spot like you have here to go to I'm out of that situation now but at the time it was scary; now I can talk to family and friends about that time
1992 Camped on shores of Lake Michigan. Started at 65 degrees. Then had a tornado warning around 730 pm. Then next morning it was 35 degrees. Not how it was supposed to happen.
Just wondering the location,my father,my son and I have been looking for spots to camp in nova Scotia, we usually back country camp at kejimakujik but unfortunately they dont allow winter camping,if you have any spots to share that would be great, thank you
greetings from Brazilian hot lands. I'm a bushcraft fan and my dream is to camp out in the cold. Well I'm happy watching the videos and camping in the heat with the mosquitoes ahahah. Big hug friend.
Awesome campout Jeremy! even if it wasn't where you had planned. That would be great, making cotton canvas bags. I have the Boreal 21 also, was considering ordering the pouch Agawa Canyon offered for it. I do like your green cotton canvas (green is my favorite color), can't wait to see the finished products, they look great already, nice job! I was wondering, do you just use Google maps for GPS on your phone or an app? or do you have a GPS unit? and if you use an app, could you recommend a good one that you use? Thanks, Atb. 👍🏕🔥🥩
@@Lonewolfwildcamping Thanks Jeremy, I've heard of Google earth, never really used it much, only on Google maps when I was trying to find a business.. I guess I'll have to see if there are some decent apps out there. I just figured since GPS units are so expensive, that you probably can't get a free app on your phone. So I never bothered to look. Be safe brother Atb!
I know you want to make things but it can get out of control in a commitment aspect. Your being able to get out and camp make take a hit. Don’t to involved in it. But that’s just my opinion. I don’t want you camping trips and videos to suffer from committing to much. Really enjoy your videos. It’s like I’m there with you. Keep up the great work!
Your videos have inspired me to hot tent camp and I've been wanting to go out and do it for months now. My budget is 400 bucks... what would you recommend as far as getting a hot tent and a stove with that budget?
I’ve noticed you often cook outside your tent even though you have a wood stove inside you tent. Is that due to bears, etc? Does cooking in your tent make everything super smelly?
I have to ask. Where is the area you camped in? I have a lot of logging roads around me as well. Looks like where I'm at in northern wisconsin area. Really enjoy your videos.
@@Lonewolfwildcamping oh ok. I think bringing what you like is better anyway....great vid today. Can’t wait for the snow to start...it will make me feel cooler cause it’s Summer here in Australia...hahaha
Love all your choices of location especially by the lake, stream, waterfall etc All very relaxing and destressing.! Do you have a full time job as well?
We went in a camping trip to Colorado last Summer and there was a mixup at our first campground that we got to just before dark. Apparently, my reservation got switched to another campground somewhat nearby. The printout didn’t have the name, but the campsite number was exactly the same and get this on the post it had a reserved sheet with my last name. There was a guy already camping there and his last name is the same. He showed me his D.L. The campground hosts were nice enough to allow us to pitch our tents in a common area. We setup in the dark. No Internet to verify our reservation.
@@Lonewolfwildcamping Yeah, plus at the same time my youngest son forget his tent poles. I gave him my Silky 240mm saw to cut branches to fit and he did. He brought the sticks with us to the next place.

Worth every mile hiked that weekend.
Finding flat ground is soooo difficult at times, I really do love a good hammock setup
Tailgate camping is a nice change every now and then, isn’t it? Thanks for sharing!
It sure is, even if it is the last resort
I could have used a spot like this years ago I felt like I was standing on a balance beam and falling and not knowing where I was falling to I lived over 300+ miles from family so I spent every weekend travelling to visit them (recharging my battery- to say) and returning to the place I lived early morning I got back in time to change and go to work on Monday just to repeat it on Friday but at the time I needed to do this I had no spot like you have here to go to I'm out of that situation now but at the time it was scary; now I can talk to family and friends about that time
I love recharging out in nature, very relaxing
1992 Camped on shores of Lake Michigan. Started at 65 degrees. Then had a tornado warning around 730 pm. Then next morning it was 35 degrees. Not how it was supposed to happen.
Wow, crazy times 😳😬
@@Lonewolfwildcamping thanks for your videos
😊🏕
Where can I get that stove?
Do you keep the stove going all night? If so, do you use a carbon monoxide alarm?
I rarely keep it going all night as like my sleep, and too much air flow to worry about carbon monoxide build up
Excellent trip and video If there was a problem finding a spot, you recovered just fine.

Thanks so much, I got lucky 😄
Like the green but yellow isn't bad either.
Thanks 🤙😁
Just wondering the location,my father,my son and I have been looking for spots to camp in nova Scotia, we usually back country camp at kejimakujik but unfortunately they dont allow winter camping,if you have any spots to share that would be great, thank you
So many locations, unfortunately I never share my locations in hopes to preserve them from too much use
Oh..ok
Great stuff as always!!!
Thanks man 👍
greetings from Brazilian hot lands. I'm a bushcraft fan and my dream is to camp out in the cold. Well I'm happy watching the videos and camping in the heat with the mosquitoes ahahah. Big hug friend.
Hello, glad you are enjoying the cold weather camping videos ❄☃️🏕🌲😊
Excellent video, what kind of temperature are you getting inside that tent at night time?
Thank you, the tent was hot enough to wear only a t-shirt and thermal pants with sleeping bag wide open. Upwards of 25⁰c
@@Lonewolfwildcamping Thankyou for the feedback and I'll definitely be watching....👍
Thanks,
Atb. 👍🏕🔥🥩
Thanks so much Jeff, I use Google earth and other offline apps to navigate
@@Lonewolfwildcamping Thanks Jeremy, I've heard of Google earth, never really used it much, only on Google maps when I was trying to find a business.. I guess I'll have to see if there are some decent apps out there. I just figured since GPS units are so expensive, that you probably can't get a free app on your phone. So I never bothered to look. Be safe brother Atb!
I have a few free apps on my phone that also work offline with Samsung phones 😃
@@Lonewolfwildcamping I have a Samsung also. I'll have to check it out. Thanks again
Awsome, check an app named " offline maps" pic of a red and blue flag
The river looks like a frozen picture on camera.
Its actually a small lake and frozen in most spots until morning
Great video are you using GoPro cameras
Thank you, and no action cameras being used
Nice Job!
Thank you
I know you want to make things but it can get out of control in a commitment aspect. Your being able to get out and camp make take a hit. Don’t to involved in it. But that’s just my opinion. I don’t want you camping trips and videos to suffer from committing to much. Really enjoy your videos. It’s like I’m there with you. Keep up the great work!
Videos and camping will alway be number 1 priority
@@Lonewolfwildcamping good deal!
What kind of camera are you using? It looks like a Bob Ross painting, these would make sweet wallpapers l.
What tent is that please.

Your videos have inspired me to hot tent camp and I've been wanting to go out and do it for months now. My budget is 400 bucks... what would you recommend as far as getting a hot tent and a stove with that budget?
I'm glad I could help you. $400 Canadian or American?
American
I suggest pomoly lite hot tent on Amazon.com and a Gstove
Thanks man
I’ve noticed you often cook outside your tent even though you have a wood stove inside you tent. Is that due to bears, etc? Does cooking in your tent make everything super smelly?
I never cook strong smelling food inside the tent, always outside
I have to ask. Where is the area you camped in? I have a lot of logging roads around me as well. Looks like where I'm at in northern wisconsin area. Really enjoy your videos.
I'm in novascotia
Thanks for the reply. Very nice beautiful area. Keep up the good work. I’ve watched a lot of your videos. Enjoyed them all.
Thank you, very happy you are enjoying the channel
I really like your channel, would that tent and stove work at -30c°?
Thank you and yes the setup would work at minus 30. More firewood and pack snow around the bottom of tent
@@Lonewolfwildcamping Nice i would like to see that.
Absolutely
Love it ! 😁⛺️🔥
😁🔥🏕
If you camp at Great Lakes like this one, do you ever fish in it instead of bringing your own food?
I rarely fish in lakes
@@Lonewolfwildcamping oh ok.
I think bringing what you like is better anyway....great vid today.
Can’t wait for the snow to start...it will make me feel cooler cause it’s Summer here in Australia...hahaha
Thanks so much. I enjoy fly-fishing in streams 😁👍🏕
This is a great spot even though you was looking to go in a different area it all worked out great 👍 oh and nothing better than some steaks
Thanks, a good adventure after a turn around, and food was soooooo good 🔥😁
Awesome video and Camping 🏕 👌
Thank you
I really enjoy your channel! Keep up the great work. Do you dread the teardown as much as I do? lol
Thanks alot, the tear down is usually really quick for me
@@Lonewolfwildcamping I'm sure given how much you hot tent your setup is super dialed in. 🤙
It takes time and practice 😉
Love all your choices of location especially by the lake, stream, waterfall etc All very relaxing and destressing.! Do you have a full time job as well?
Thank you so much, im a photographer 👍😁
@@Lonewolfwildcamping you can sure tell. Very professional work! I think that’s what draws the viewership is the complexities of your videography .

I'm glad it worked out
@@Lonewolfwildcamping Yeah, plus at the same time my youngest son forget his tent poles. I gave him my Silky 240mm saw to cut branches to fit and he did. He brought the sticks with us to the next place.
Thats a great way to improvise 👍😊
I'm interested in a canvas bag for my Silky curved saw and your spice kit.
