The fact you have to setup the camera(s) multiple times then go back to retrieve it in order to get the shots of you walking thru the forest doesn't go unnoticed. Thanks for putting in the work to make these relaxing videos!

Wow! This is the first video of yours where I was actually concerned for your safety. Sleeping under a canopy during a snow storm (in Canada!) seems more like survivalism than a recreational cold weather camping trip. If anyone could pull it off, it’d be you; but it just didn’t look like much fun. If I could not feel my fingers burning then that would be the time to find a Motel 6. Great video. 🙂

I'm a firm believer in having the next fire ready. If I were you, knowing full well that I needed to start a fire the next morning, I would have it prepped and ready even before sleeping for the night. Always two steps ahead.

Absolutely a no go way of winter camping for me! An enclosed tent w a stove and a floor at least half way is a must. Cant even say I admire your grit, because in those conditions and being wet for hours is something I would never do nor recommend. And that morning snow inside... even less!

Unlike the camp under the stars in wintertime of last week, this tarp is more my jam! Looks nice and toasty. Also, I love Andy from Kent Survival, but he *will* unroll his sleeping bag too early! It was Canadian Girl Guides that showed me to wait to unroll until you're ready to get in-even in summer-Really appreciate that you did not unroll your bag, as you are watched my so many. (For those who might not know, In the summer, dewfall can get into your bag, making it chilly as the temperature drops. That means it's more work to get it to a comfy temp. Also, If it's sunny the next day, hang it out until it is warm and dry, then roll it tightly until bedtime. If you did it right, it will still be warm!)

Well Jeremy I admire your tenacity and resolve to sleep under a tarp shelter. I watched a Russian guy sleep in a Russian bear tent with stove, cot, table and chair. That would be my choice personally. On that note, I am crawling in under the blankets now in our bed and cuddling up to momma...will be -20 tonight. That is plenty cold enough for me now.

Your noodle dish looked fantastic. We try to take really, really good food with us when we go for an adventure!! We will usually take our first night's supper from home...and usually it is something that would be a total pain in the butt trying to make it while camping...goulash (American chop suey), beef stew, a spaghetti sauce, etc. etc. And we always try to take something for a snack that works while out...hot dogs, smores, sausages, all stuff that is better being cooked over a fire. My wife is a breakfast wizard when camping...omelettes, biscuits n gravy, baked beans with ham n home fries etc. And we hardly ever take plain old bread...biscuits or yeast rolls for us!! Anyway, I'd love to see you and Kendra do a video dedicated to awesome cooking while camping!! Thanks and keep those great videos coming!!

I really like the concept of the shelter. In Norwegian we would call this a “Gapahuk” - a gaping shelter or “gaping hug (or love)”. We use this a lot, often made from canvas, branches of fir, or timber. Usually you would heat this with a fire outside the shelter, but with a stove jack it is just perfect…

Its a tarp that is made for outdoors men and women who want a more open experience with nature and not forced to be confined by walls

Lucky to find a pre-split log that just needed to be sectioned up. 👍

This makes me hope you were warm enough rhrough the night. I would have loved to hear that you had enough wood to stoke the firebox at least 2 more times throughout the night to keep warm

I like it better when you camp alone or with Boomer. Thus Lonewolf. This camp setup would be a definite no for me especially in the winter. Kudos for your effort.

On your tarp design.....maybe strap or web handles on the sides to make shaking snow off easier? Just a thought.
