The saddest part about the circus accident is, that Blitz's father gave Fizz a card which said "Wish you were my son".
Also people speculate that Blitz wanted to confess his feelings to Fizz back then, the letter he's holding looks like a love letter and a flower.
Yep!! It saying “fizz’s eyes only” implying Blitz had a crush on Fizz. Knowing Blitz’s horrible spelling, Fizz meant a lot for him to take the time to write the confession properly. In the same way, the fireworks were labeled with a misspelling, so Fizz probably thought Blitz placed it there on purpose :(

I was shocked by this episode! Blitzø actually repaired a relationship. Honestly I kinda liked how they reconciled so quickly. It showed how easy Blitzø can clean up ALL of his problems if he just talked to people instead of digging his grave deeper.
Agreed! I hate long drawn out resentments. It was sweet that these two clearly wanted to communicate.
I was honestly so happy when this episode came out. I had been hoping for ages for Blitz to finally get some wins.
Probably not "all". "I'm sorry" isn't a magic wand you can wave to *make* people forgive you. Fizz was easy because (I think) deep down he missed his best friend and wanted to reconcile. Like he said, he's happy, his life is going good. He just couldn't let go of what happened after so long. He also said he wanted blitz to visit him in recovery, so much time passing was probably a bigger cause of resentment than the accident itself.
You'll remember he tried with his sister last episode and she completely blew him off.
And respect people's boundaries. He definitely has to let Barbie Wire come to him to fix that relationship or, at least, approach her in a more tactful manner than stalking her and trying to worm his way into her life.
Tbf, both Blitz and Fizz realized that some middle man was lying, which probably made them think, "Oh shit, maybe they actually aren't a bad person like I thought."

so like - i'm a performer. that's my whole job. i'm also disabled, though differently to fizz (and i was born this way, not blown up like fizz was, thank god). fizz is my favourite character for maybe painfully obvious reasons, and my heart soared a little at his casual "it's not like i'm broken" in regards to the event that permanently disabled him; so many people treat disabled people and characters like we're broken, whether consciously or otherwise, so it made me really happy to have a character like fizz outright deny that idea. it was challenging, but he got through it, and he's not broken just because he's different now. for all the criticisms i could give this show/universe (and there are a few - i do like it as a whole, but i'm far from thinking it's perfect), i don't think they could ever make me stop adoring fizz. he's fucking awesome. just like me fr.
The foreshadowing of the “worm-horse” balloons is so f’d up, especially cuz Blitzø was the one pretending to be the bloody GREEN balloon, and Fizz emphasized his repulsion to blood

The scene from "Loo Loo Land" where Robo Fizz is walking towards Blitzø while on fire sure hits differently now. It's so great to see Blitzø and Fizz patch things up. And I have to say, Fizz and Ozzie are just adorable together. Almost as much as Moxxie and Millie. This was definitely the best episode so far.
I don't think anyone expected Ozzie and Fizz's relationship to be so genuine. They're absolutely adorable together. Also, I love how even Ozzie, the embodiment of lust, stresses the importance of consent. Similar to how Bee-lzebub knows the dangers of using over-indulgence as a coping mechanism.

I’ve already left too many comments but!!! I feel like a lot of people gloss over the class differences standing in the way of Stolas and Blitzø. Blitzø is a member of a discriminated and marginalized species in hell, and Stolas actively (though more unknowingly) contributes to that. He has grown so much, but earlier in the series he was casually discriminatory constantly. Calling Blitzø his imp, putting a cigarette out on his horn, pinching his cheek and baby talking him. Everything Stolas did early on really hammered home the idea that Blitzø is a toy to be fetishized. Ozzie’s is quite literally the first time he treats Blitzø as an equal. It’s very easy to get swept up in Stolas and his love when he’s singing alone or reacting to getting a date, but Blitzø doesn’t get to see any of that.
It certainly doesn’t help that their trauma responses directly contribute to this misunderstanding between them. Blitzø hates himself so much that he needs to be told point blank that he’s wanted or loved. Meanwhile, Stolas has been abused and beat down into being a people pleaser that feels a need to hide his emotions so that he is not a burden to others. So Stolas relies on his actions to speak for him, but Blitzø isn’t getting the message because it goes against his world view.
On top of all of that, there’s a huge power imbalance at play. Blitzø is essentially a sex worker that is solely relying on one client to provide a necessity (getting to the human world). Yes, there are other ways he could reach there, but they’re incredibly difficult. Due to this, he would be unable to allow himself to form feelings out of fear of fucking up the thing he needs in order to provide for his loved ones (Loona and their home and MnM as his employees).
Bottom line: their relationship changing is dependent on how Stolas approaches this. He needs to /tell/ Blitzø that he’s wanted and loved for any chance of Blitzø believing him and not misunderstanding him. If he just gives Blitzø that crystal and says the deal needs to end, it’s pretty likely Blitzø will take that to mean Stolas is throwing him away and doesn’t want him anymore.
They both need therapy so bad lmaoooo.
I agree!!! Stolas really did treat him to where I can see Blitzø thinking as he did. Stolas would objectify him and even up to the end of ep 6, he called him his “impish little play thing”. Then I think after that, he’d realized how he was coming off as. They both need work, and they both need to talk, but I rlly can’t blame Blitzø a ton. I don’t see enough people talk about that.

@@mangaanimefan3089 That made me so sad😭Blitzø wasn’t happy abt the crystal at all. He just panicked and said he could do better, because he didn’t want to be discarded, and even though he won’t say it, he doesn’t want to lose Stolas, and the book is a way for him to see him. And Stolas didn’t understand that the fact that Blitzø didn’t take the crystal and leave means Blitzø cares. If he didn’t give a fuck about him (like Stolas has determined after he cut their convo short), then he would have taken the crystal after Stolas explained he doesn’t need the book anymore, been happy abt it, and been like “alright, thanks for the crystal, see ya never.” and LEFT. Blitzø wasn’t the slightest bit happy, he was very conflicted and panicked when given the crystal. You could rlly see Blitzo’s childhood trauma shining through there (like him telling his father he can do better after always being less impressive in the circus than Fizz).
Man, I love how deep the trust Blitzø has for Fizz. Even after 15 years of anger and separation, Fizz is still the first person Blitzø really confided in about the situation with Stolas. And I love how he’s still protective of Fizz while they’re still on the outs.
Also regarding how much blame Blitzø deserves… That was an accident waiting to happen. So many ways things could have been mitigated with preparation. The way the tents were so flammable, the way fireworks were just sitting out unprotected, the way they had fire so close to flammable things when they didn’t want things to burn, the way there was nothing to fight the fires, or training on what to do if a fire happened… that’s all on MANAGEMENT (aka Cash). So Blitzø is only like 5% responsible. (I might spend way too much time watching plane/train/ship accidents and the way those are investigated. Because there’s also usually big systemic things going wrong too that could have had measures in place.)

This episode was so emotional and shocking because I never would've thought that that’s how Blitzø and Fizzerolli got their white marks from getting burnt, I sobbed frr. 😭 Also Blitzø being told that Fizz didn’t want to see him after the accident is probably one of the reasons he didn’t visit Stolas in the hospital.

some fun details:
1- fans theorized a fire or explosion long before this episode because the white marks on imps appear to indicate scarring. blitzø has splotches of them all over while fizz’s face is completely white except for where the clown nose was (it’s deceptive how it always appeared like clown makeup)
2- blitzø’s dad was giving fizz a “i wish you were my son” in the flashback. TERRIBLE thing to be seen by his actual son you know?
when imps get damaged, the damaged skin turns white. you can see that fizz's whole skin is white except for his nose, where he had the clown nose covering it up. That's also why Blitz has white splotches on his skin. you can see him holding the burnt side of his face in the flashback

Blitz *was* actually going to save his mom in the flashback. In the storyboards it showed him saying ‘mom’ when he was going for the other tent instead of Fizz

Fizz' song shows he truly has a talent for improvising. 😅 "Look at this!" is just him doing a bunch of random things, it's even confirmed that he can't speak Italian and just sings about some music instruments "Fortepiano" and italian food "Bucatini" lol. Alex Brightman killed it this ep (again)! And I'm happy that even after the traumatic accident, Blitz got one person from his past back! ❤️
You can see Crimson looking at him confused and offended when he started saying the random Italian phrases😂
Consider: Blitz can do all that calculation in an instant and still can't spell moxie's name

I believe Blitz was going to give Fizz the card, but then saw his father giving Fizz so much love, and a card of his own that said “Wish you were my son”. This all led Blitz to rush off, heartbroken and angry.
Something I realized when watching: Fizzarolli is not wearing make-up. It has been shown that when an imp get injured -- such as part of Blitz's face getting burned -- when the skin heals, it grows back white instead of its normal red. So when Fizz got caught in that explosion, it burned off all of his face except for a smalll spot where the clown nose he was wearing protected it. As a result, he wound up with a white face and red nose, making it permanently look like he has clown make-up on.
Honestly i wanted more shenanigans with Ozzie and Stolas. They ended up having fantastic chemistry.
I could watch a sitcom with those two as the odd couple roommates trying to mediate each-other’s issues.
Makes so much sense why Blitz can't see anyone loving him and why he refuses to open up because the last time he was about to confess his feelings, everything literally blew up in his face
I do believe Barbie blames Blitz for their mother's death but I'm curious if she has an alternate understanding of what happened like Fizz did. While Blitz's mother also didn't show up in the season premiere, it's interesting that Barbie had no screen time until Unhappy Campers unlike other important figures in his life like Fizz and his shitty dad. I wonder if their mom was sick and Barbie spent a lot of time taking care of her? If so, she'd definitely have even more reason to hate her brother.
I also love that Ozzies ringtone for Fizz are a bunch of frogs croaking because his nickname for Fizz is "Froggie"
Note: Remember Stolas has never actually told Blitzø he loves him! He thinks the romantic way he speaks is an imp romance fetish due to the way Stolas treated him early on. 😭

"Look my way" is sung from Bryce Pinkham, the voice actor of Stolas. The original song is from Paranoid DJ, but Vivziepop made her own version of it. It came out - I think - after this episode. If you like Alex voice, you will be satisfied in the next episode.

Gotta remember Ozz has been around for thousands of years, he’s one of the first demons in hell. He’s had plenty of time to be a lustful playboy, and he probably was for a while since he has that reputation. That’s why it’s such a big deal, not only is it a goetia and sin king loving an imp (which is about as far away as they can be class wise), but a sin king going against his own nature. One of the sins showing that they can change from the sins they embody.
Honestly, thats probably why deep down, Mammon detests them the most, because when the dominoes start to fall, he'll be asked to take accountability and change his ways
An interesting thing to mention is that Imp scar tissue is represented by white skin. You see Blitz's scars over his eye, meanwhile Fizz is basically all white

It's hard to see in the moment, but the explosion is what creates the scar over blitz's left eye AND turns half blitz's face white. Before it his face is all red, as it is in all flashbacks, after you can see the outline of the white half of his face forming. Which also implies fizz isn't wearing white clown makeup, but that his entire face is scarred white by the fire.
I believe Blitz’s dad gave Fizz a birthday card that said “wish you were my son” or something along that line. It was seeing his father love Fizz more than him that made him upset

I have a headcanon that Blitz yelled out to Fizz after the explosion that he was gonna get help, but Fizz didn't hear that because the explosion messed up his hearing. 😢😢😢
Out of all the sins in this show (that we know of so far), Asmodeus (Ozzie), the frickin sin of lust, is a walking green flag, and believes in consent (how he just doesn't do love potions).

One thing that i never noticed till i first watched this episode was that younger Blitzø doesnt have the half white patch on his face, which are scars for imps.
That being said, Fizz's face is ENTIRELY white except his nose, where he was wearing a clown nose at the time... thats not makeup, his WHOLE FACE IS SCARRED TO HELL
One thing that's easy enough to miss is that the card Fizz is receiving from Blizz' dad said "Wish you were my son."
And it seems likely that Blizz couldn't see Fizz through the fire, all he saw was flames when he ran to get help.
Just imagine it from Blizz' perspective though. He couldn't confess to his best friend and walked off in a huff, and thanks to his carelessness he lost *everyone* in his life. His mother in the fire, his sister because she blames him from the fire (speculation but likely) and Fizz because he saw him run away and thought he never came to visit him.
That's one Helluva way to scar a psyche…
Flashbacks to when she first started wondering what happened between Blitz and Fizz… and that it really “seemed like something blew up”
I fucking *love* to pieces how this show does Blitzø’s (and everyone’s, fuck) micro expressions so you know exactly where his head is at. In Truth Seekers, if you look at his face, after Blitzø tells Moxxie he doesn’t remember what he said that first day, his pupils widen and he tenses in a way that telegraphs the *first* words out of his mouth were a lie just to make sure he could. Once he’s secure in the knowledge he won’t have to give up any more than he’s ready to, he’s honest with Moxxie by *choice* and gives him exactly what he needed to hear. It’s a fucking blink and you miss it moment that adds so much weight to the scene and their relationship as friends and coworkers-THIS IS A CARTOON ABOUT GAY DEMONS IN HELL ON UA-cam WHY THE FUCK 😂😂😂😂 IS THE QUALITY THIS HIGH

Fizzarolli is the one who got out of the trailer park, so to speak. It's not a coincidence that a common imp is affiliated so strongly with _two_ of the Sins. It's like Fizz said, that's what real talent rewards you with. Blitzo has claimed that Fizz is an "overrated sellout," but, in his own hallucination, even when he's trying to pump himself up, claiming that he could do IMP's work solo, his own mind gave him a reality check, reminding him that he's already failed at doing things alone.
The two of them began at the same starting line, but Fizz is the one living the rags to riches lifestyle.

Yeah, it definitely seems like Helluva Boss in GENERAL has a lot to say about class and economic status. It makes sense that most imps don't really like demon royalty - they're treated as lesser beings all the time and imps almost never have any semblance of power (I mean just look at the way Stella treats the imps they employ at their house). I don't think it's a random quirk that Blitzø's texts are so short and hard to read. Like yes he is closed off but even his texts with Millie are kinda written that way. He's illiterate, he grew up poor, his father instilled in him the idea that the rich don't care (I mean Stolas' dad literally BOUGHT him for a day that's... got to mess with a kid's head in more ways than one) and that relationships like that are transactional. He hates himself and is unwilling to let himself get close to Stolas but he also is justified in not trusting Stolas' feelings, especially with how their relationship started out. They obviously love each other but their thing started out in really morally dicey circumstances. Stolas is just now realising their power dynamic and how messed up their arrangement is, which is really great! Now the tricky part is removing the transactional aspect of their hook-ups and starting over on more even footing... we know Stolas wants that, but will Blitzø let himself accept it? I think making up with Fizz is a really great first step in untangling his baggage! Rooting for this gay disaster
They do show that Fizz has robotic parts in the episode we first see him in, that's what he means by, "ribbed for your pleasure"
Now this episode… this was AMAZING ugh it felt so good to have a banger episode come out from this messy season. It was perfection from start to finish. It truly felt like season 1 quality and it made me emotional. I will say the only thing that was weird is they only has 1 interaction prior in years and the 2nd time is when they resolve it so that was really fast but other than that small thing loved this episode. It convinced me anytime Fizz or Asmodeus showed up the episode was gonna be great. It was clearly proven once again in ep 7. Literally my favorite episodes of this series have been with Fizz and Asmodeus showed up.
Man this episode! THis one really hits the feelings! Also yeah Blitz did get really badly burned in the accident too. It seems like on the Imps, the white skin is burn marks so the part of Blitz' face that got burned is now white, and all but Fizz' nose is white! So I guess that white skin isn't even makeup but burn scars from that fire! Fizz got fucked up!
I have been so excited for your reaction to this episode!! This one is my favorite next to ep 7. Fizz and Blitzo's relationship really brought more depth to his character. And the delivery of the "I did care" speech from Brandon Rogers was phenomenal. And the return of Striker and Crimson!! Blitzo was so badass this episode as usual lol and the crystal!! Things are gonna get interesting!!
Also, not a Spoiler, but it’s highly suspected fan theory that Blitzø’s mom had some kind of medical condition based on the way his dad emphasized her in The Circus and the fact that we don’t see her around!

During Blitz’s part of the flashback, you can see he was really trying to get help for Fizz by asking people around him to help, but then he stops because he realises his mom is also in danger so he go to try and save her.
You can see it more clearly in the storyboard of this episode because it’s written in the picture when he’s saying “Fizz” and “Mom”(the artist shared the storyboard of this scene on UA-cam).
Yes! We have finally arrived at the Fizz x Ozzie episodes! These two are my favorite couple in the show and seeing them together is always a pleasure! It's so great seeing such a healthy relationship in hell of all places! Also, who would have guessed, the physical embodiment of lust would be giving a lecture about the importance of consent.
This is why every little detail on these cartoons need to be so strictly scrutinized and re scrutinized, or it all just goes by too fast. Blitz was about to confess his romantic feelings to his BFF Fizz with a card and (possibly?) a flower. Blitz ran away crying when his father (who just sucks) gave Fizz a card that said "I wish you were my son." He ditched the card. Birthday cake candles for Fizz set a part of the tent on fire, and, long story short, Blitz pretty much had to choose between saving Fizz or saving another VERY EXTREMELY IMPORTANT PERSONNAGE in his life.
The card kid Fizz got said "I wish you were my son". And the card Blitz was holding had a heart and a flower. He was going to confess to Fizz but seeing his dad love Fizz was the final nail in his self confidence's coffin. So sad.
Edit: I just realized. The crystals are typically mounted on rings like we saw with the sister episode. Stolas is getting Blitz a ring to show he's serious.

After what Crimson tried to do, Asmodeus had to order everyone in the Lust Ring that if Crimson ever set foot in the Lust Ring, Crimson will be executed. Crimson didn't think this through if Fizz got away before the deal was done, since Blitz rescued Fizz, Crimson's chances of getting his deal was cancelled. Crimson can't set foot in the Lust Ring forever.
When Moxxie said that his control was fragile, he is right, Crimson's criminal life is slowly falling apart.

There’s a storyboard that shows Blitz looking at the tent, right before the explosion hits his face, and he mouths the word “Mom.” So possibly he was torn between trying to save Fizz or his mom and couldn’t save either.

Blitz actually didnt leave fizz to die in the fire, in the scene they showed that blitz looked at the direction that fizz was but couldnt see anything because of his eye + the flames, so he just ran away from there probably looking for someone

It'd be great if Blitz0 is able to see Stolas giving him the crystal in the way Stolas intends it...buuuut I kinda feel like he might actually take it as a rejection, at least at first--like a sign that Stolas is bored/done with him and his leaving him like "everyone always does". I mean, I hope I'm wrong, but I get the sense things still have a ways to go bad before they start getting better lol.
Anyway, what a doozy of an episode, and this reaction was great as usual!
