    Hi Debbie, I have just made the Aloe Vera Shampoo for myself, my granddaughter, and daughter-in-law. AMAZING!!!! Needless to say I am going to have to buy an Aloe Vera Farm, a Castille Soap factory, grow some Almonds, set up some Bee Hives in our yard and grow Lavender. It is that good and I have used it only once (but I can tell).
    Today I will be making the Greek Yoghurt Conditioner, if it as good as the first time use of the shampoo, I will then have to buy an Apple orchard, I already have Rosemary and marry a Greek so I can get access to real Greek Yoghurt. If you have not already guessed I am having a lot of fun however, I need to know that I am using good ingredients with the right ratios, and I trust your knowledge, and love your tutorials. Thank you.

    Growing up in Jamaica I remember my mom picking aloe, cutting it, and putting it in my hair. I have to get back to that. Thank you for sharing this. I'm glad I stumbled upon your video. Since being diagnosed with Lupus and Sjogren's I've been looking into more natural products.

  • @mzdee1423
    @mzdee1423 5 років тому +65

    New to the channel. I was skeptical that this recipe would work for my dense 4c hair because throughout my natural hair journey I have experienced products and recipes for "naturals" with hair similiar to mine, that normally dries my hair out, leaving me to find other means of bringing moisture back to my hair after a good wash. I normally have to use conditioner to remove the initial dryness that the shampoos' leave in my hair. I am not a product and label junkie. Once I find a product that works I'm done. But lately I have been trying to do more natural homemade products for me and my family to help live a little cleaner overall. So when I saw this video, I was like, "Hey ,why not? Let me try it." I did and was very happy and, might I add, plesantly surprised not only to how easy it was to make this but that it didnt dry my hair out. 😲 Still in a state of shock. Made a believer out of me. Thank you for sharing Mrs. Debbie. 😍👍👍

    Debbie, I watch a lot of hair and skin care videos and this is the very best one I have ever seen. I'm amazed by how much love and effort and care you put in the making of your videos. And I also like how this video isn't just about a shampoo recipe. You actually showed us it works and you brought a smile to April's face. She was practically glowing by the end of the video.
    On top of that, you're an extremely beautiful woman, sister! Thank you for this video. I think it's really useful for us non-Caucasian folks whose hair problems aren't generally addressed by typical shampoos. I'm Indian and I have seborrheic dermatitis. I have tried every lotion, shampoo, tablet etc by about 4-5 different dermatologists. So I'm definitely going to make this one and I'm positive it will do wonders for my hair and scalp.
    I wish you lots of success. Thank you! ❤️

    I LOVE THIS CLEANSER! I’m a DIYer at heart. I use it as a shampoo, face cleanser and body wash..And love, love, love it! It makes my hair feel really clean and shiny, it cleared up dryness/patches on my face and makes my skin feel great after a shower. I did adjust the recipe slightly using peppermint Castile instead of non scented Castile, blue agave instead of honey, because that’s what I had on hand, added ginger and grapefruit oil because their benefits for skin and hair, and also added xantham gum to thicken it. Thanks Dr. Debbie!

    Hi Debbie, thank you for the DIY shampoo. I just tried the shampoo, I used your exact ingredients and amount. I shampoo my hair in 4 sections, the back is more curlier than the front “maybe a 4b and with the front being a 4a” I believe. What I noticed after shampooing my hair, it stayed elongated with this DIY, when it normally shrinks with store bought shampoo. That was very puzzling, and the best was my hair was soft and squeaky clean too. Thanks again

    Thank you so much for the tips on how to make your own homemade shampoo, I am aware of how much hair loss I have everytime i comb my hair, and health plays an important part as to what is going on inside of the body and treating the cause, but especially too that most shop bought shampoo strips the hair of its natural oils, as well as, they contain sodium lauryl sulfate, which is the cause of dryness and hair fall, Which isn't very good for the hair, This is powerful information thank you so much for your video

    This works better than I expected to. I love the surprise I got with how well this works. I tweaked the recipe based on what I had, I used the Castile soap, bottled aloe vera, sweet orange essential oil, honey, hylauronic acid, and hemp seed oil. I have very hard to manage curls that get super dry. This shampoo acted like a deep conditioner (after rinsing the shampoo out of my hair, I was so shocked at how velety soft my hair felt. It felt more conditioned than if I were to sit with a deep conditioner on my head with a heated cap!), detangler, and cleanser. Of course this is just how my hair worked with it, everyone’s hair is different but I wanted to share my results.

    Absolutely tired of spending so much money on products that stick to my hair and leave my scalp feeling as dry as it did before shampooing. Aloe vera has always worked on my hair to restore it after a bad shampoo, so I’m planning on using this recipe to make my own shampoo. I have multi-textured, afro hair that suffers severely from dryness and I hope this helps!

    I have severe scalp psoriasis and I like this recipe because I've used aloe before it seemed to help with the pain and itching but I have a few questions can you use chamomile oil or chamomile tea in place of lavender ? Also can you use olive oil in place of almond oil?
    Any advice would be appreciated thank you.

    I find if you don't blend the aloe vera leaf and mash until it's liquified your shampoo will be thicker, less runny. I also found out that less oxidation (blending) is better for this natural product you gain better benefits.

    Hey Debbie. You forgot to mention how much aloe vera juice you used exactly in proportion to the oils. Is it a hole cup, half cup? Also, I want to ad rosemary oil to this recipe, because it’s supposed to block DHT to prevent hair loss. How much rosemary oil do you recommend adding? I love your enthusiasm, god bless x

      Hey ik this is a couple years too late but I found that 2 table spoons aloe vera per 6fl oz Castile soap works pretty well so so for a cup I'd use 2.5-3 table spoons aloe vera
