Goal tending is unbelievable!
I was glad the Preds won but dissatisfied with their first goal. A Preds player pushed Šilovs into the puck which was what caused the puck to go into the net. Goaltender interference, yes? I would have expected Toronto to say so.
Tocchet didn't want to risk the challenge. It definitely wasn't a goal
Yes, Toronto too say so.
If ANY goal in the playoffs is worth challenging, it was that one
im a canucks fan - its just a good old fashioned crash the net goal. Puck was clearly not covered and just ended up in the net. wasnt worth the challenge. Joshua penalty was the real problem for that to happen =/
@@DrFishyRSOilers fan here that hates the Canucks. There is absolutely no way that was a goal. "Crash the net", do you at all understand how hockey works dude? If you push on a goalie it is no goal. "puck wasn't covered". Do you see the puck at all prior to it going in? Man nucks fans are dense.
Nashville winning thanks to a goal scored by kicking Silovs into the goal just a day after Tampa lost off of having two goals disallowed because someone was standing sort of near the net is peak NHL.
So, Tampa gets TWO goals called back because of interference by just barely touching the goalie, yet they let a player crash into a goalie and move him into the net and it counts. I want the Preds to win but come on, that was clearly not a goal.
Yeah, reffing was ass in this game anyway. They missed the high stick on Barrie in the 2nd, so they had to make up for it by looking for anything to call on Vancouver. Then, of course, the goal in question happens. The Tampa game was even more ridiculous with those disallowed goals, especially the 2nd one
How did the refs allow the preds first goal to count . Our first goalie is injured , second goalie got ran over and third goalie got pushed into the net and they counted the goal . You would think that they would have greater emphasis on the goalie related incidents but evidently not .
I'm a Carolina fan living in Moldova, but Nashville is my home base...GoCanesGo! Let's Go Preds. This was a phenomenal goalie battle.
Hopefully this is the game that causes the league to rework the challenge rule. Give each team ONE challenge to use a game. There shouldn't be any punishment for issuing a valid challenge, and it's less likely to be abused if they only have the single challenge to burn.
That puck had lost all forward momentum until Silovs was shoved into it.
I also think they should automatically review any goal where the goaltender was contacted by an opposing player in any fashion. Doesn’t have to be a long review, but it should be checked every time. For free.
Both goalies looking great!
Zadorov looking like an oil tanker cruising coast to coast.
Kicked in goal, and now pushed in goalie, Preds really know how to play hockey
Two goals taken away from Tampa yesterday and this one that counted against Vancouver - it just makes no sense at all to me. Zero. You either have one set of rules for everyone in every situation of the same nature or else just stop pretending.
OK, I'll spread the paranoia. Cumissioner Butthead is getting nervous that 2 Canadian teams just might make it out of the first round, so the call was made to 'look the other way'.
@@jamesharris4041 I truly believe Butthead is directly related to the cupless drought Canadian teams have been suffering from. I mean, how much more coincidence can this be? The first year he was announced commissioner was also the last year Canada has owned a cup. Do the math, 32 teams, 7 of them Canadian, the odds should be every 5 years for a Canadian team to win a cup, but nope, 30 years and nothing. It’s so way off the average it’s like something’s been tampered with. And officiating has been the atomic bomb behind it.

The Fans are behind you Canucks ~ Finish them off this Friday! 👊
“In the NHL, you are not allowed to use your stick to push the goalie, regardless of the situation. Goaltenders are protected by specific rules that prohibit opposing players from making contact with them intentionally, especially using a stick. This is considered interference or goaltender interference, and it typically results in a penalty. The rules are designed to protect the safety of the goaltender, who is often in a vulnerable position while playing the puck.”
Havent seen that rule called by the letter of it in years. Goalies are forever getting stabbed by sticks lmao.

It really is fascinating that out of all the Vancouver high danger chances there were, the Zadarov shot from the side board is the one that went in. Really entertaining game in intensity.
