Canes have nothing to be ashamed of, they played hard against the best team in the NHL and took them to 6 games, didn't roll over, have a moral collapse or start taking stupid penalties, the hat trick goals weren't soft, flukes or garbage goals, they were legit goal-scorer's goals, Andersen can't be blamed, they would have gotten past most goalies. All in all the Canes had a great series and their fans should be proud of them. I bet on the Canes to go to the Finals, also bet on the Oilers in the West but I honestly wouldn't be sad if they lose to Vancouver, a Rangers vs Canucks Finals, 1994 rematch, would be pretty cool.
As a rangers fan. Great comment. As I stated in a previous comment the rangers score on highly skilled plays that "most" goalies will give up. They essentially make goalies look bad by getting them out of position or a cross ice pass that the goalie has no chance on. And being very opportunistic, they skew the numbers by scoring with fewer shots than many teams in the league.
@@Straight_Az I should be upset, I lost money on this series and could lose more if the Oilers get eliminated. Lotta people saying the refs determined the outcome, that's a cheap excuse, the better team won, simple as that. I honestly hate when people blame the refs, it's as if they think everything is scripted, if they truly think that they should quit watching the NHL, legit sports aren't for them, they should stick to watching WWE where the refs are paid to be biased.
Just give Kreider the "C" already. He should've gotten it instead of Trouba, and this is one of the reasons why. What an absolute CLUTCH player. Absolutely remarkable. Especially because of how the first 2 periods went.
I honestly have no clue what went wrong. Rags were on the ropes 5 minutes into the period, Canes were set to win. Then they fell asleep and Staal took a stupid cross check penalty. Well, wasn’t meant to be I guess so GGs. 👋🏼

Its crazy how, after one bad game, many have already started reminding the Rangers of last year NJD series. On slippery ice home doesn't matter. The Rangers this year is the most complete, balanced, stable team. Regardless of the opponent they are always the first to win 4 games of every series.
you realized there have been 2 rounds, and the Rangers Canes series had their game 6 scheduled first? And there are minor league teams that would've swept the Capitals this year.
Canes: Hooray! We're gonna force a Game 7 and then do a reverse sweep! Kreider: Ok, that's enough out of you. Play time is over. *beast mode activated*
Respect to Carolina. They are an amazing squad of talented players. Andersen was inconsistent though. Also, gotta wonder if Rod Brind’amour is gonna be replaced. Rangers gonna have just as tough a series against either Boston or Florida, though I’d rather see them play Boston honestly. Florida looks just as fast and talented as Carolina, but more dangerous than Boston.
Alot of playoffs comes down to matchups. Canes aren't the best match up for us with their forecheck and able to maintain o zone pressure. That's been our weakness forever but got it done. Florida is a wagon and we just match up better with Boston. But the Bs making it a series with some pretty terrible offensive play gives me confidence. Gotta get the cycle going and play below the dots. Once they get buzzing down low were so tough to stop with those crisp seam passes.
*deep breath* Congrats to Chris Kreider on his natural hat trick. Great job by him in stunning the home crowd. That being said, WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT HURRICANES?! I'M NOT SURE IF TOTAL INCOMPETENCE OR DIVINE INTERVENTION WAS THE REASON CAROLINA TURNED INTO A PUDDLE! BRUTAL IS PUTTING IT VERY LIGHTLY ON HOW THIS SEASON ENDED FOR THE CANES! WHAT A MESS! Rant over. Time for me to pull for the winner of the Bruins/Panthers series.

the third period is how they have looked all season, dont know what they have been doing the past 2 and a half games, they better be the normal Rangers against Florida or they gonna be in trouble
Alot more than goaltending. Played great first 2 games and still lost. Example would be Staal with the puck right in front of Igor and he passes it to the corner. I was like wtf is this guy doing? Saw that at least 4 or 5 times in this series.
Damn, Carolina’s barn really rocks right out during playoffs. Sounds like what you’d hear at a Leafs playoff home game. I’m impressed (coming from Toronto fan living in Ontario). It was my dream last year for a Toronto - Carolina final 4, repeat of 2002. Was my hope again this year. Would have been the loudest, most exciting matchup of all the East possibilities
Been watching hockey for almost 14 years (not a native English speaker though) and this is the first time I've heard the term natural hat trick :D I feel embarrassed

When it was 3-1 going into the third period I thought that it was going to be heading to game 7 after a 3-0 series deficit going giving a chance for another team to win a series being down a 3-0 deficit, but the rangers refused to see that happen with their their storm back in the third!
Playoff Kreider is something else. Old school power wingers are worth their weight in gold in the playoffs. If the Leafs had Kreider they'd be a proper hockey team. Well, almost. Anyways, now we're onto the ECF. 1994 vibes are getting stronger. LGR!
Gotta say I feel bad as Carolina hits 2 posts at 3-1, Anderson always lets in a bad goal in these elimination games…2nd ranger goal was a goal you just can’t give up! Rangers wanted it more…entertaining game.
ranger fans gonna be watching these highlights for years! But you gotta include igor's massive save on svechnikov in the final 2 mins, and also show some of the handshake line. I thought this was a highlights vid!
Played very poorly in the 3rd period. This game was winnable by them especially when it seemed like New Yorks defense was letting their Goalie down at times. I didn't think the Goaltending was bad on either side but more so that the defenses and offenses at times let teams down. When offenses give up pucks and put more pressure on the defense to fall back creating offensive breakaways for teams. I fell asleep last night before these games finished. I caught the highlights and from the start of the highlights it looked like Hurricanes were going to Win but they just looked so bad in the Third and credit to Rangers for making them look bad. Who knows, maybe they ran out of stamina and didn't pace themselves well. Didn't that happen to the Rangers in the previous game?

Now this!
Holy crap!
4 goals in the third quarter 😅
@@Vinh1949
Hockey is thirds idiot -_-
@@Vinh1949 Is this hockey or basketball, ridiculous.
It was the other way for me. My Rangers are losing 3-1. But I was able to watch the 3rd.
CLUTCH KREIDER!!!
I honestly have no clue what went wrong. Rags were on the ropes 5 minutes into the period, Canes were set to win. Then they fell asleep and Staal took a stupid cross check penalty. Well, wasn’t meant to be I guess so GGs. 👋🏼
I think Bettman raised his finger from up in the rafters and the refs saw it and called a cheap one.
Chris Kreider happened
@@VeikkaPutkisaari The net camper xD
Chris Kreider happened
@@BarryFence not really. Staal’s cross check was a textbook penalty, he shouldn’t have done that. Anderson needed to be a lot sharper too.
It was my birthday today and my dog is not well. It’s been a terrible few days with him being sick and still undiagnosed..
thank you to the Rangers and Chris Kreider for lifting my mood a little bit
This is for Kida I love you little dude you’re gunna be okay
I hope Kida is okay.
@@Justme77400 thank you homie, he is doing a better today!
Classic game. What a comeback. Heartbreak for Canes.
Its crazy how, after one bad game, many have already started reminding the Rangers of last year NJD series. On slippery ice home doesn't matter. The Rangers this year is the most complete, balanced, stable team. Regardless of the opponent they are always the first to win 4 games of every series.
Andersen let in a horrible goal and it changed the whole game, if he hadn't I'm pretty sure the canes would've remained dominant.
you realized there have been 2 rounds, and the Rangers Canes series had their game 6 scheduled first? And there are minor league teams that would've swept the Capitals this year.
IGOR a wall and that 3/4 ice open net shot by goodrow to take all hope away. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Canes: Hooray! We're gonna force a Game 7 and then do a reverse sweep!
Kreider: Ok, that's enough out of you. Play time is over.
*beast mode activated*
What a historic collapse by the Canes
Was not a historic collapse I don’t think anyone is going to remember it like 2 months from now
Respect to Carolina.
Once they get buzzing down low were so tough to stop with those crisp seam passes.
nah this will be the toughest series the rangers have in the east
*deep breath*
Congrats to Chris Kreider on his natural hat trick.
Rant over. Time for me to pull for the winner of the Bruins/Panthers series.
given that the Rangers turned over the puck all game and Martinook's save, this W was nothing short of a miracle. Thank you hockey Gods :)
GG Rangers. Good luck the rest of the way 🙏🏼
Sugg em off why don’t ya
ATTA boy RANGERS!
Glad to see this franchise reclaim some glory. Such a rich history as the original 6.
Now if only the 2 other Canadian OG teams could do the same.
rags got a while before they catch up the habs and leafs.
Gorgeous pass to Panarin from Orlov!
By Far...the best series with these 2 GREAT 🇨🇦🍁 teams! Go Edmonton GO
And that’s that, it’s been a fun ride Carolina. Thanks for a great season.
the third period is how they have looked all season, dont know what they have been doing the past 2 and a half games, they better be the normal Rangers against Florida or they gonna be in trouble
That second goal for the canes changed Kreider, he came out of the box and scored a gw natural hatty to clinch our spot in the ecf
Celebrations begin 💪LGR!! 💙❤thanks Rangers
What a series. Every single game came down to the third period.
You can't win the cup without a good goalie.
Carolina's problem is goaltending.
Leaf fans sipping a coffee saying: "We told ya so"
Alot more than goaltending. Played great first 2 games and still lost. Example would be Staal with the puck right in front of Igor and he passes it to the corner. I was like wtf is this guy doing? Saw that at least 4 or 5 times in this series.
Congratulations New Yorkers; it's about time!
Rangers Did It Now They Are In The Eastern Conference Finals Come On Now 1 More Round To win Then They Will Be In The Finals
Memories of Messier.
Christopher “We’ll Win Tonight” Kreider
Damn, Carolina’s barn really rocks right out during playoffs. Sounds like what you’d hear at a Leafs playoff home game. I’m impressed (coming from Toronto fan living in Ontario). It was my dream last year for a Toronto - Carolina final 4, repeat of 2002. Was my hope again this year. Would have been the loudest, most exciting matchup of all the East possibilities
Wow, what a series!
This is playoffs hockey!
Worst 2 periods for the rangers. I thought game 7 all the way. Third period what happened. LETS GOOO
Been watching hockey for almost 14 years (not a native English speaker though) and this is the first time I've heard the term natural hat trick :D I feel embarrassed
They were already beat
What a comeback!
Just amazing…Krider 🚨🚨🚨
When it was 3-1 going into the third period I thought that it was going to be heading to game 7 after a 3-0 series deficit going giving a chance for another team to win a series being down a 3-0 deficit, but the rangers refused to see that happen with their their storm back in the third!
Let’s be honest, the Canes just pulled off one of the most epic chokes in playoff history.
Playoff Kreider is something else. Old school power wingers are worth their weight in gold in the playoffs. If the Leafs had Kreider they'd be a proper hockey team. Well, almost. Anyways, now we're onto the ECF. 1994 vibes are getting stronger. LGR!
Congrats!🎉 to the Rangers. The Canes gave it their all but the Rangers are so resilient and this is their year. Exciting 3rd period comeback🎉
canes should have never traded trochek
He was a free agent…
toxic franchises
@sherwood5030left6Hyman is just a 30+ point guy without McDavid. Anyone that knows hockey knows Hyman is nothing without McDavid.
@@NotaGabeItch he benifits from mcdavid that's for sure. But 30 pts is a little harsh lol
Gotta say I feel bad as Carolina hits 2 posts at 3-1, Anderson always lets in a bad goal in these elimination games…2nd ranger goal was a goal you just can’t give up! Rangers wanted it more…entertaining game.
The Rangers hit 2 posts in the 3rd period in game 4 either of those goes in and the series is over in 4.
@@kkjppt5359 100%, Andersen chokes under pressure, always ALWAYS lets in the bad goal that turns the game around.
Great to hear Sam Rosen on the radio.
4:51 I’m gonna call this the save of the second round!
Hat Trick Kreider! Awesome LGR!!!
Now Carolina knows why Toronto let Freddie Andersen go. He never fails to let you down when you need him.
Kreider's agent, "Well , he's really one of those clutch playoff franchise kind of players who expects to get PAID"
Sounded like a Rangers home game by the roar of their goals there.
Carolina is an excellent team that goes no where come playoff time.
Wow .. That was great!
ranger fans gonna be watching these highlights for years! But you gotta include igor's massive save on svechnikov in the final 2 mins, and also show some of the handshake line. I thought this was a highlights vid!
Well done guys! Exciting game. Amazing comeback
What a beautiful win, i had to watch it twice
God i love chris kreider
LGR what a comeback
Oh the ranger roller coaster ride
A shame that this series didn’t get Game 7.
After being up 3-0, I was fine with six. 😅
No. Just no.
that's my guy #20 right in front not going away 🤩
Canes with two heartbreaking exits from the postseason in back to back years. They have such a good team, but seem to crumble in the playoffs.
What a game!!
This was a GOOD, tough series.
"Can you believe it??" Echoes Gary Thorne's call on Messier's hat-trick!!! EIther that was a very well-played homage, or a pleasant coincidence.
