- My car developed a clunking noise when I stop, and I fixed the problem by replacing the control arms.
It seems this problem is not uncommon in countries which have rough roads, so I made this simple instructional video so you can do it too.
It's not a complicated job, and fixing it yourself it'll save hundreds in labour at a mechanic.
More information & photos can be found at www.suzukiswift.info.
Video was a great help as I am replacing mine next week.

Hi, do you have more videos about replacing Suzuki Swift Parts? Brakes, filters, etc.? Also website where to get those parts?
Thank you.
Please can you show video on Suzuki lania 1.6 (year 2001) how to remove and replace right lower arm thank you
Thanks for the great video. Which brand for the control arms did you use?
Hello
Thanks for this Video
Is it possible to change juste the rubber part?
sir plz make video on removing wiper washer tank & finding leakage of maruti swift
got to get on your back to get more leverage. another way is to double up on the wrenches/spanners. while using the box end on the nut, and then another box end on the open other end wrench. stick the open end thru the box, play with it a bit until you figure out how it doubles its length using the second for extra leverage. or put a pipe on the ratchet, i often use the floor jack pipe. it its to long, mine comes in half. or go buy a pipe that fits your ratchet
When replacing the control arm, do you need to get a realignment?
yes, i did. they are never exactly the same all bolted back up. half a mm out and the steering is out too. bushings and et all etc are never identical. but its been two years so you probably already found that out.
Strange l just did this today on a Swift sport and it was different from this and bloody bit of a nightmare!
man, how did you find out that the problem was coming exactly from that piece ?
+aspirinemaga I did a bit of googling beforehand and it turned out that the clunking noises often come from worn out control arms. I was about 75% certain that was the problem. I was right (thankfully!).
