99% of people never drive a cool sounding car anyway. EVs bring performance cars to the masses. Even my low end Tesla has a better 5-60 than this 6-figure M3 and better 0-60 than the RWD M3.
It’s still a good question wether or not ICE cars will disappear though. It would take decades to fully switch to electric car production, plus they’re not nearly as green as people tend to think. And with the new e-fuel thing who knows

@@PorkchopExpression define cool ? I love shifting gears and hearing the engine rev. And I got a 4 cyl. I could care less about numbers, unless its something really underpowered. I drove automatic cars and EVs, they do nothing for me.

These M cars are obscenely fast, 503 horsepower can’t be right,BMW has got to be massively underrating this car, I wouldn’t be surprised if this thing was making 600HP at the wheels.
Just saw dyno results for the new M2. It makes its advertised horsepower *at the wheels*
@@pascutia But the M2 has a detuned version of the same engine, 450HP sounds about right for the M2 considering its performance numbers, The M3 is much bigger and heavier, they claim it only has 50 more HP than the M2, yet the M3 will do 0-60 a full second faster than the M2. The power just doesn’t match up with its performance.
@@zoomzoom3839 Yup, just saying that BMW typically does this with underrating their advertised power. Car and Driver did a test with this car. 2.8 seconds to 60 and still managed 27 mpg at 75 mph. Very, very impressive package.

$110k as tested, I understand inflation is a thing but holy shit lol. Enthusiast cars are becoming more and more out of reach as each year passes.
tbf this is a special edition that's limited production, limited production cars have always been big $$. you can still get an M3 for ~$80k which seems about right for what you're getting these days. The m340i has sort of replaced the M3 of yore, the current M3 is just a ballistic missle.
@@myemailiscool yeah I mean there’s no doubt it’s special but it’s $15k over the standard Comp xDrive but doesn’t really change anything. It just feels like they’re pushing the car to be artificially prestigious which is why the M340i exists now and also why the 330i is neutered but still has a high base price.
I mean, at these price ranges, I don't consider these enthusiast cars. You are just buying a real sports car now. The way I see it, "enthusiast" cars are just want to be sports cars, based on economy cars.

The E92 M3 was the equivalent of 110K USD when it came out in Eastern Europe back THEN., adjust it for inflation. A normal current gen M3 is 120-130K here.😊
A brand new M2 has the same drivetrain almost, and four seats but only two doors, and it’s rear wheel drive only but is only $70,000. Or you could get a loaded M340i XDrive which is way more than most people will ever need in the real world also for about $70,000.
Can we just appreciate this car before EVs and no sound takes over.. BMW has really out done themselves. 0-60 2.8-3.1 sec?? Holy hell!

The funny thing is: I looked at this M3 for 3-4 months and I thought the M4 was nicer. But the more you look at it, the M3 is nicer. It's just more special.
In my opinion F82>F80 but G80>G82 the rear of the M4 looks weird to me

I bought this car earlier this year. One thing that takes some getting used to is the 4wd slipping the rear if you are expecting a more "4wd clawing around a corner" feeling that some 4wd cars have. The front wheels pull it forward despite this but it also gives a false sense of security as your muscle memory gets used to this action which leads to "fun" when switching to 2wd and expecting the fronts to pull you out of anything =].
Maybe that's the best of both worlds? AWD with the feeling of RWD. Did you consider other cars before you got this one?
n@@retrograde11 nothing to consider to be honest, 4 cyl hybrid amg ? or universal rs4? there is nothing on the market atm like a bmw.
What mode are you noticing this in? What is your m setup? I’ve only noticed skip angle when in m dynamic mode , or m dynamic sec off… otherwise my m1 I go full sport everything however leave the traction standard, it teleports around the corners without the slip angle and has 0 intrusion of power cut…. It’s mind blowing and the front end turn in and grip is better than my gt2 and gt3….. and what’s even more bonnets is that during freezing temps in ny it feels virtually the same as hot summer temps in the corners, the Michelin ps4s are really good ,
why are those seats different?
My 2023 M3 Comp X was $83k with no options other than all season floor mats. Not sure where these base numbers came from.

How do you place the Hat Clip mount for that amazing POV angle? Do you use ist with a baseball cap? Thank you for some tips.
The hat clip is upside down with the hat overtightened and angled up so you can see under the GoPro.

I'm baffled the 50 Jahre doesn't come with adaptive cruise given the cost. Wonder why they cut it, their system works really well.

It adds an ugly front sensor in the grill as well as lane keep assist, and traffic mode, which are all features that nobody wants in an M car. I just ordered a fully specced 2024 M4 xdrive and left out the Drivers Assistance Plus package for that exact reason, so I see why BMW left it out on the Jahre, M3 CS, and M4 CSL. Nobody wants that for these type of cars.

The wide screen mounted screen is a deal killer…Loved how proficient it is as a drivers car, but the screen is really a deal killer….a company as profitable as BMW should be able to integrate screens into the dash as have done Porsche and Range Rover…‘just my .02?
Yes they probably found a cheap factory in China to mass produce these ugly screens and put them in all the upcoming models. Saves them a lot in costs both on design and implementation while the customer is left to deal with that ugliness daily.

It you're not driving on a track every week, these bucket seats are not meant for you. Utterly useless und uncomfortable for daily driving. You're ball get crushed after driving longer than an hour. So just get the base sport seats they're comfortable and still good enough for driving some corners on public roads
