I really do like the idea that yuji made a binding vow in which by offering the opponent a chance to surrender it greatly increases yujis technique by 10 fold if the opponent refuses this plea, but i doubt this is the case

i think if sukuna does get a backstory it would be something similar to the way mahito was portrayed as since they have pretty similar views and i think instead of making ppl believe sukuna is justified they’d jus hate him more which honestly i think would be the best kind of backstory for the kind of character sukuna is

You don't know anything about Sukuna. You are setting a precedent that it will not be good if he had a tragic backstory. He does. He said so himself. "I was born a cursed, unwanted, little wretch."
Wretch does not mean an evil person. It means an unfortunate, or unhappy person.

It's just weird and it hurts to me that everybody only sees a monster. He is a human being despite how we see him now, he had a whole life that formed who we see now. People, not just you, not meant to be an attack, but people regardless seem to forget that.
Now as to the "chill" stuff. If you care you can read why I get so upset with the readers of this story that only want to see a monster.
I was in the military for 5 years. I know what it's like to be an object made to die for something and not a person. I understood Geto and never saw him as evil. He was however incredibly screwed up. I have schitzo-effective disorder I learned of after my serving in the military. I know what it's like to be treated as a thing to be dealt with rather than a person. I understand Sukuna. My family however says they want me around for a long time. 🤷 Could'a fooled me but I won't get into that.
Since the beginning of the story Sukuna has been a thing to be eliminated. Nobody has tried to understand Sukuna only demand Sukuna understand them.... And he does. Still no attempt is made to know what made Sukuna, Sukuna. Only what made Yuji and co., Yuji and co.. the fans just want Sukuna dead as well. Both in and out of universe his life holds no value unless it is ended. To me that is monstrous of humanity. Why should Sukuna respect the value of life if nobody valued his?
This story hits me really close to home.

@@wesley3447 okay i get what ur saying but the author has made him to be that monster that’s the story he’s writing so i think ur taking this a little too personal man he’s literally a mass murderer and worse he tells yuji that he doesn’t care abt his feelings or anyone else’s bc he’s evil that’s how gege has portrayed him and hasn’t given him any justifications for the way he is he’s just a bad guy dude

@@_euph0riiia Nobody ever cared about his. He has become a sociopath. That happens to people all the time. It doesn't mean they are evil people. The brain makes adjustments to handle extreme stress and extreme emotions like sadness and terror. They do feel emotions and bonds still it just makes it wayyyyyy harder to.
These are convos I love. Hope it continues. 🙏
Gege seems to know how psychology works and has from my understanding been making it a undertone in the story. The inability to feel empathy is not what makes him a bad guy. And again there was a whole life that he lived that birthed the "mass murderer" we see today.
Imagine with me if you will, you were a kid born with a freaky look (you know how Sukuna looks) and eventually someone tried to kill you for just existing. Now have that happen over and over again. Eventually you would stop caring about it and accept this will be life from now on especially if you were able to put the attacker in the dirt every time they tried. That's the birth of his sociopathy right there. Very understandable and a very human response to constant violence. He found satisfaction in the tragedy that was his life and he is made out to be, by the vast majority of people, the root cause of his own downfall. I too do not want Sukuna "redeemed" as I feel he has no reason to be "redeemed" I feel the in universe world did him dirty and deserves this "monster of its own creation" in a sense. I do want Yuji to at least understand Sukuna before he does eventually give the killing blow. Sukuna is this world's "Frankenstein's monster". In the famous quote from Frankensteins monster, "I am malicious because I am miserable." It's my favorite book of all time. The original Mary Shelly version is a masterpiece. He just wanted his creator to understand him, people to not fear his presence, and try to kill him for something that isn't his fault... His existence. Really sad stuff. He never became a sociopath. He regretted every terrible thing he did. Sukuna does not and that makes me sadder for him. Something terrible happened to that man.

I truly hope yuji domain is a combination of shrine and blood manipulation since he is the first your of bm to ever use a domain and he could have in the domain because yuta copy technique allows him to use multiple techniques in the domain and yuji is the only other person alive with multiple techniques so it makes since because sukuna was actually switching to use megumi ten shadows but yuji actually has both powers in his body not him using some one else body

@pbsuite he kinda dumb be fr , but I'm not saying he can't because he's dumb, but that his mind doesn't work like that. It's not in his character, in my opinion, at least.

@@44harbordale44 maybe if your talking about book smart , ofcourse yuji is dumb, he fails exams , but overall he is average , he has a really good battle iq .

    • @44harbordale44
      @44harbordale44 Місяць тому +1

@pbsuite of course, dumb doesn't mean completely incompetent, I just wasn't going deep with it, but that's essentially I mean when I say it's not in his character. That's not where his smarts lie. He's clearly smart enough to play to Sukunas pride when taunting him about fishing, and knowing what makes one rare.

wow thank u gege akutami for ur youtube comment on this random video.
Anyways its not strictly about intelligence. Yuji was just casually talking about his experiences to connect with sukuna. Sukuna voluntarily interjects (so he didnt INTENTIONALLY access this memory on the spot) with information that he couldnt have had without accessing yuji or megumis memories. This means that either megumi is resurfacing in that moment, or even that sukuna valued more of megumis memories than just the sorcery related ones. Which would imply that he actually feels some connection to megumi. Further evidenced by Sukuna acknowledging him and then saving him but most importantly, by giving him advice.
In any case the only logical conclusion for yuji to derive from this is hope.
