@@ronaldomendoza7578Actually... dancing usually incorporates clapping, which would actually be useful. Todo could dance during the fight and just randomly clap during it, throwing the enemy off. Like, Todo's technique is literally the most support-like technique, since he can teleport any two things, living or not, and he doesn't even need to teleport as well every time.
So just imagine Todo off to the side as someone else is fighting, he's hitting those dance moves and the enemy has to guess when he's gonna clap or not, add in the fact he can always fake clap if he wants

I personally think that Kyoto being run by a old man who sticks to traditions is related to most of them being so trash. On the other side we have Tokyo who has Gojo, supporting the most rare and unorthodox jujutsu. I think it depicts how sticking to traditions and not adapting to a changing world can be a negative thing. Or Gege just forgot about them idk.
Even Utahime is a stickler for principle. Like at their grown age she still nags Shoko to quit smoking despite Shoko having RCT to heal and Utahime being a heavy drinker herself. I can’t imagine her teaching methods are as open minded and pragmatic as Gojo’s.
No, the reason is that gojo simply has students with superior inherited abilities.
Yuta started special grade, yuji was super human from the get go, megumi had the 10 shadows, maki has the heavenly restriction, hakari's CE nature is strong Naturally and his domain came with the technique.
Take those things out and you are left with sorcerers weaker than 90% of the Kyoto squad.
Panda, inumaki, nobara and kirara are nothing compared to todo, mechamaru, kamo, even momo is a second grade sorcerer just like ino.
No Gojo just got OP students half of his students are either special grade, have some wierd bullshit ability, or were being held back

Yuta and Yuji were both going to be executed, now they're near Gojo's level in the manga. Maki was told by her family to give up and just be a wife and mother, and now look at her she's Toji level. Kugisaki only wanted to come because she lived in the mountains, Gojo didn't care as long as she was crazy enough to fight curses. He made a gamble with raising Megumi, instead of letting him rot as a Zen'in

Kirara themself say they didn't like their CT's from the get go, so I think there's something there about "sticking to tradition". And Maki was only fourth grade because of the zenin clan messing with her ranking. Even Yuji and Yuuta were targeted by the higher-ups at the beginning. So Kyoto only having kinda weak sorceress may come from this rejection of the "unconventional" and "weird".

@zachhh1217 I could be wrong on this, but from what I've read online, what happened is Gege hated his original editor since the original idea was a purely horror story, but editor said do a school setting with horror elements. Then editor did more stuff Gege didn't like adding Nobara and Kyoto arc. Fitting that the second he got another editor, Shibuya went the way it did. Now normally I hate when an author is forced to go against their original IP but if all of this is true than Gege should have actually taken his advice like damn.

I’m guessing it’s probably just that she caught a recruiter’s attention that way but wouldn’t it be something if unnatural hair colours, though naturally occurring in the JJK universe, are more common among Jujutsu Sorcerers. Perhaps purer lines of Jujutsu sorcerers can have more unnatural (and recessive) colouring (hence Gojo, Mei Mei, Yuki, Yuji) and why Nobara dyes her dark brown hair orange.

Mei Mei`s ability is also not great, so she would be an exception to that as well, which kind of puts this theme into question for me

The thing is, Mechamaru didn't think he could win against Mahito and Kenjaku. His initial plan was to take advantage of the confusion to get Gojo on his side. But he didn't fight because he thought he would win.
He needed to redeem himself for selling out his friends.
I feel like the only reason Kyoto is the top 2 schools is because there are only 2. Maybe there's a 3rd and then you have the rare chance of someone outside of Japan having enough CE knowledge to even teach it to others. So they aren't 2nd place because they're good, they're 2nd place because only two schools can compete.

I actually really liked Kamo as a character. After understanding his motives you understand his feelings & reasons for his actions. Then Choso shows up & changes everything we know about Blood manipulation & Maki takes care of his goal of also wanting to break the Zenin clan.

To be fair, while the Kyoto students are not powerful, they are also not responsible for 90% of the problems like the Jujutsu high students are.
Geto = lover of genociding normies who starts a war, dies, and then becomes host to Kenjaku - a guy who is set on merging Japan's populace into some monster
Gojo = fails in nearly every way imaginable to contain the fallout
Yuji = loses to Choso causing him to be fed fingers leading to Sukuna's massacre in Shibuya. Also makes binding vow with Sukuna like an idiot which leads to...
Megumi = gets taken over by Sukuna leading to a host of deaths
Mechamaru would have changed the world if he had survived given he had constructed a cursed energy battery and Todo is Todo. Frankly when you consider contribution vs. fallout, Kyoto is roughly equal to Jujutsu high - but only if you leave out Yuta. Who by far has the best contribution/screw up ratio of any of the characters.

Mechamaru is litteraly the responsable of all Shibuya. In fact Gojo and Yuji never were the most responsible. If the higher up didn't try to send Yuji against a special grade, Sukuna never would be in this position

He failed to get information out, but regardless of his involvement everything would have happened the same because the sorcerers had no idea about Kenjaku or the prison realm and Kenjaku's plan was always to seal Gojo. We do not know the extent of the information given by Mechamaru, but given that he did not believe they would harm his fellow students it could not have been considerable.
Gojo failed to stop the events of Shibuya from happening. His sealing leads directly to everything that happens. Gojo's pushing of allowing Yuji to absorb parts of Sukuna also leads directly to Sukuna's massacre. They could of have just killed Yuji and 95% of this story would not have happened.
Gakuganji also killed Masumichi , yeah he was probably just under orders and sympathized enough to not reveal how panda was rlly created but nah, killing arguably the one man Gojo trusts the most puts him on hate watch deserves 8 not 7.

Mechamaru and Todo, as we all agree, are the only ones worth a piss in the wind (I fully agree that Mechamaru's plan was complete tomfoolery, though, and he should've taken a note from Kamo's book and dipped). Utahime can take absolutely no credit for either because Todo was trained by our forever-squandered Yuki, and Mechamaru is entirely self-taught. Literally, everyone she had any real influence over is pure ass, and the only two non-ass students don't take her seriously (and why would they?); that's why she was out here taking the train of shame with the kiddies to pull up late for an already done fight.

Momo being a second grade sorcerer... in a school where most of the students, except for two, are mad mediocre because of the shitty school system compared to Nobara, who is a third grade sorcerer that landed a direct hit in a disaster curse with a cursed technique that is actually even more of a support than, you know, a flying broom. You may argue that being good isn't about who can kill curses or how many, but unfortunately it is, at least in the jujutsu world. Momo could have been more than a witch cosplayer. In fact she could have been able to manipulate more than just a broom, but school system sucks, and she sucks.

1) todo (glorious, based and badass king) - smartest in verse, simple but op ct and contributes the most and most of all has the potential to reach gojos level
2) mechamaru (mech) - almost beat mahito if it wasnt for kenny he would have lived, intergral to shibuya, potential to reach gojos level
3) kamo (budget choso) - threw hands with hanami, kenny and cursya (actually put up a very good fight here), helped train yuji, helped out in the culling games alot
4) miwa (not so "ussless" miwa?) - currently fighting sukuna, tried throwing hands with kenny, has simple domain, trained by the 2nd strongest grade 1 in the shinjuku timeskip, fought in the sendai colony
5) nitta (who?) - first year, ct is actually useful (pauses any previous injury including death to a degree), actually done his job, isnt mentioned since shibuya at all and isnt in shinjuku for some reason
6) momo (literal witch) - uhhh i guess shes got good mobility and tbf she was willing to fight two top 10 characters even if she done no damage at all, shes in shinjuku so maybe she might actually do something for once
7) mai (budget yorozu) - she literally died and that was essentially it her only relevance past flirting with her cousin/nephew and making 1 bullet per day besides introducing the concept of twins to the story (sukuna and jin itadori)
