Great reaction! If you loved this you’ll love Demi singing Father live (UA-cam original). :)

Lovely commentary. I really enjoyed how you took note of the emotion, performance and vocal skill of Demi's. (BTW: Demi was on "Sonny With A Chance" on Disney. It was Selena Gomez who was on "Wizards of Waverly Place.") Demi is an extraordinary vocalist who never ceases to show emotion and skill in her singing. I'd recommend going through her discography. Even in her first two albums (when she was 16), her vocals were outstanding. Plus, those first two albums were pop-rock. And her new album coming out soon -- the first single ("Skin of My Teeth out June 10th) -- is going to be rock again.

No need to talk down on one artist to raise another up. They can both be good in their own ways.

Yes, Mori can sing more technically and be one of the best female singers from the Phillipines and Asia in general, in the past 8 years; however, with all due respect and as far as I know, she is not famous for her own songs. I mean she has not become famous, at least in this part of the world for producing, composing, arranging and singing her own songs. That makes a huge difference. Demi Lovato, on the contrary, is not covering another artist's/singer's song but singing about her own life experience, her own song, in this heartfelt performance. In addition, she is clearly showing here how it feels and what it is like to realize you have been cheated on by the person who allegedly swore to love you for the rest of their lives which is a situation where being "technical" or "sane" is one of the hardest things to do in life. This is exactly what neither Morri nor Ariana Grande, Swift, not any of the current pop stars, except by Adele, have been able to make me feel with all their technicalities when it comes to singing high or low notes. Yes, technique is extremely important, but when it comes to singing about situations like the one in this song feelings also play a crucial role. That is a key element of us latinamerican people and our descendants in the land of Uncle Sam where Demi is originally from. In Latin music and singing, especially balads, feelings should par technique; otherwise, you are not going to make it. Believe it or not. Period. @Jove 7641 Jove 7641

I have no clue what you were listening to, but Demi was not struggling with one single note here. Not. One. Single. Note.
