      @@olderwiser1017 I am also from and live in the Caribbean dear, and in addition to being located on the South American continent it is still apart of the Caribbean, that's what I outlined the different reasons why its deemed a Caribbean nation, it shares alot more ties with the Caribbean than any South American country it might share borders with. Further,a common shared and obvious requirement for being a Caribbean nation is that at least one shore is touched by the Caribbean Sea and it shares considerable ties with most Caribbean nations and institutions For example, students in Guyana can attend law school in any of the three law schools in the Caribbean.Bear in mind also that Belize which is in Central America,is also a Caribbean nation.

      @@deidrehector3643 I am aware all that you have stated but Guyana is still not a Caribbean country. Citizens of Venezuela, Suriname and French Guiana are also part of Caricom and thus are allowed to travel freely within this territory but are not Caribbean ISLANDS. It was only 1965 that Guyana joined Carifta - the predecessor of Caricom. Guyana was always at war with its neighbours mainly Suriname and Venezuela (one quarrel still unresolved). Also, Guyana experiences lots of ethnic unrest within, between the predominantly Asian population and the citizens of African heritage (2nd largest ethnic group). It needed befriending especially as it is the only English speaking country on the SA continent and the only one that was under British rule.

    • @deidrehector3643
      @deidrehector3643 4 роки тому +1

      @@olderwiser1017 I am aware of all of that dear and racial tension exist in many Caribbean countries up to present. But you keep saying it's not a Caribbean nation but it is legally and politically, many countries have started to internally identify as something else often in an effort to escape their colonial past. We will agree to disagree I guess and that's fine. Also Suriname is even more distant in terms of identifying with the Caribbean than Guyana though it still enjoys strong ties with most Caribbean countries. Regardless, all countries on this planet are unique and we are all brothers and sisters and God loves us all. 🤗🤗🤗

      I can't blame his Romanian wife for NOT wanting to live in America as she is justified in her fear that the police may kill her husband for just being a black man in America -- driving, walking, shopping, jogging, playing in the park while black, as it is STILL HAPPENING today in 2021. Lady, stay where you are.m, or there are many beautiful countries around the world that being black does not matter as you are considered a person like them. I never worried about being brown, for I was raised to know only God is above me.
    In my travels, stupid idiots felt I was African, and sis not know, that I spoke Spanish as a second language, and many brown people have first languages other than English etc.
    No one ever asked was I Jamaican, but Puerto Rican and Cuban, but just like you love your culture, I love my USA culture and food, but I do not eat pork.
