I felt hurt about but very angry at the same time... that everything had built to a point where it did and feeling like this was the end, and I was completely content with that, completely fine with crashing out completely with Max if that is what it meant, a sprint to the end of a finish line that I did not think we were coming back from, and in that moment I understood, I felt tired, like Max, and understood it was time to let him go, until whenever I get to see him again, if ever. A beautiful closing of the story that was Max Payne.

I think what made this scene is the fact that the song was not an instrumental and they kept the lyrics in. That and the cadence of the airport chimes in the background made it so memorable to me for some reason
This is one of the best things I have ever seen. The depth to it. A man with nothing to lose, lost in life holds on to his job so much he goes off the deep end to defuse a corrupt organization by facing an airport full of armed forces. All this while music plays about both letting go of as holding on to his late wife and child. As he his also torn between letting go of life and holding on to the mission and his sense of justice. You absolutely can't beat that.
Maybe most of you are all to young but this SERIOUSLY instantly made me feel like I was back in the 80's in a kick ass scene of Miami Vice. As many state one of the best scenes in video game history right here. EPIC.
This stage of the game was THE perfect way to set up the finale. Just a massive shootout as you kill everything in your path as you ultimately make your way towards Victor and the last of his goons.
Goddamn I just played this part and beat the game in what felt like 10 minutes after. The surge of adrenaline you get when this track kicks in and Max (the player) just starts kicking ass is perfect. This is a man who has nothing to lose, once he's really begun to believe in something- A good man is at his most dangerous when there's nothing left for you to take but his life, because now he's dedicated what remains of it to stopping evil. That's Max Payne to a T. He's so deprived of decency and joy in his life that he jumps at any opportunity for comradery or a chance for redemption, and in the end learns to disseminate between the fight for a purpose greater than himself and the ability to live simply as a man finally at peace. That's one hell of an arc for a game that's 90's shooting holes in people.
🙋🏻♂️ Already hits pretty big considering it's Max's big moment of release from his past but after hearing about James' passing this hits so much harder

The music in combo with Max’s grunts is just plain awesome ! This game will always be one of my all time favorites
I just can't get enough of this section
This stage of the game was THE perfect way to set up the finale. Just a massive shootout as you kill everything in your path as you ultimately make your way towards Victor and the last of his goons.
One of those holy shit moments of badassery in video games that don't come all to frequently anymore
This scene is perfectly complimented by HEALTH's "TEARS", one of my favourite songs, and scenes of all time.
Just finished the Max Payne 3 today ultimately completing the MP Trilogy, im at loss for words, a pure a masterpiece. GOAT PAYNE.
Goddamn I just played this part and beat the game in what felt like 10 minutes after.
The surge of adrenaline you get when this track kicks in and Max (the player) just starts kicking ass is perfect. This is a man who has nothing to lose, once he's really begun to believe in something-
A good man is at his most dangerous when there's nothing left for you to take but his life, because now he's dedicated what remains of it to stopping evil.
Who's here after McCaffrey's death?
🙋🏻♂️ Already hits pretty big considering it's Max's big moment of release from his past but after hearing about James' passing this hits so much harder
The leap and lay down, shoot while your prone....
Imagine RDR2 or GTA with these physics
Max embraces his killer side and truly gives up on who he thought he was meant to be.
Absolutely the best moment of whole game.
Whenever I'm sad or depressed, I just play this mission. For some reason, this mission helps me bring me back up.
"oofay"
This song made me pause gameplay and look it up online . Such a mood ❤️
I like how the slow motion doesn’t affect the music too much
oh my gosh this scene is like still making me feel like max its so good the whole game is super good at first i didnt want to play max payne 3 cuz i was like i played max payne 2 it was good but i didnt feel like it and my friend was like u must play it...i would so regreat not playing the game if i didnt play it.
Max Payne: the man who constantly found himself in situations where he should've lost but always somehow managed to pull out a win.
All these years later and this game still looks so visually impressive.
max payne 3 was a masterpiece and health’s composure of the soundtrack was the cherry on top. the song playing in this video, tears, in particular is fucking gorgeous.
This is the most underrated game and scene that Rockstar has ever done.
One of my fav parts in a game, perfect timing and soundtrack
I LOVE THIS SCENE SO MUCH
I'd like to thank Rockstar for introducing me to the Max Payne series and HEALTH.
God I love this scene
I still sometimes watch people play it. I should reinstall this game.
this scene was especially great the way i played it, i killed all of the UFE at the start in like 10 seconds, ran up the escalator, dove off the balcony and spun around shooting the ones on the other side as well, it was pretty fucking great ngl
That moment when you realised you jut beat the game on score attack with all platinum metals.
I love Max Payne 3 it's one of my favorite games of all time. It's a shame that it wasn't really loved by a lot of people and it's a shame we will never see a Max Payne 4 or at least a remaster of Max Payne 3.
RIP Max
This song felt like a love letter from Max Payne deceased wife and child to live his life and let go of the pain
Let alone the voice actor
Max Payne 3 animations are something else
This MP3 was very underrated , it deserved more recognition, this is one of the most epic experiences in video gaming, I'm hoping that Rockstar will bring more MP in the future instead of more GTA. I enjoyed MP franchise over GTA
Give my grandpa a hug for me James. R.I.P
Childhood memories for me. I really miss playing this over and over again. I replayed this game alot of times.
One of the greatest scenes in any video game. This is what makes Video Games iconic, not just cutscenes on top of cutscenes.
Please I want this on ps4
On RDR2's engine
Do a budget bulid just get a old office computer and put a gt 1030 in it and you can play this game at 1080p on high
@@digital_oni I'm getting a 3080 and it better run at over 100fps at 1440p
Still gives me chills even after all these years. What a masterpiece of a scene and game
This was the scene where it clicked for me, I'm in a movie.
This game is just incredible, I'm going to come back to this video to relive this goosebumps inducing scene for years
This music is perfect
Imo the best use of soundtrack in a video game ever. Beats RDR, beats halo, everything.
