"Hello, welcome to the first and popably only time Im doing this since I'm not a videoperson" 9 Months later: seems you are The trusty source for us Savotta-Nerds. Thanks for your videos. Always good Info + Inspiration on how to handle my stuff. Aftrer your detailed Video on the Kukkaro I got one too. @Savotta: get this man some more gear PLS.
Haha yeah it kind of got out of hand, but I really appreciate all of you and all the really cool people I am meeting. I'm a lot more comfortable now and I feel like I'm just talking to a bunch of nerdy friends I'm glad you're here friend :)
Thanks for a great presentation and very helpful video. I’ll be adding both of these to the collection. Love the use use as a nappy bag! You should definitely make more vids!
Thank you friend :) and tomorrow I plan to upload a better showcase video on the Askare to answer some questions I received, and to add some information I missed this time around
Hello there! If you change the nexus buckles for G Hooks, its silent to attach, straps down flat, easy to attach, remove and you dont have to have any buckles at all for the pouch. Just hooks into the webbing. Also, black metal hooks look more badass in my opinion. Otherwise, nice and informative video! Keep up the good nerdy work! Greetings from Germany!
You know I just recently started the G-hook journey and you are absolutely right. I thought I did not like them but once my muscle memory kicked in they are fantastic. Great idea mein Freund :) and thank you for the kind words, they keep me going
I've been asked this quite a lot, and I think I might have to make a video on exactly why. It's hard to explain without showing visually what I mean. I will try to do that in the next couple weeks or so
Hey thanks for the nice and informative video, really enjoyed it! I think about getting the Kukkaro in the 1.5 L version, how is your experience in wearing it as a shoulder bag / chest pouch? I am not a big fan of hip bags so that would be a big selling point for me. Thank you in advance! Greetings from Germany!
Danke freund :) I am the same way with hip packs, I never actually like wearing them on the hip. But as a chest sling bag or shoulder bag, both of these packs work absolutely great
@@Tim_Keys Thank you for the nice reply! I just ordered the Kukkaro along with a happy patch and am excited for it to arrive next week. Have a nice weekend! :)
Hello friend, I was precisely wondering if the askare bag behaves firmly when carried in the waist class and loaded with a 1 liter canteen and some other items, can you say something about it? I like the simplicity of Savotta, but I'm not really sure if this Askare bag will be comfortable on a walk in the forest. Greetings from Spain
Hey there. We just put the baby down for bed and the bag is in his room, but in the morning I will get back to you with this answer. What other supplies do you have in mind? I can model a loadout for you
I checked it out and it definitely works with a canteen. It can perfectly fit in one of the pockets behind the loop field or in the lower and wider elastic band. I tried to put up a new video showing just that but something went wrong, so I will upload it tomorrow and show you how it works :)
Thank you, it was definitely interesting to step out of my comfort zone to do this. And to answer your question, it's the Tasmanian Tiger Passport Safe, with RFID Block. Pretty good little item, I can recommend it
Hey thanks for all your reviews about the Savotta gear. It has been very useful. However, since you wear glasses, do you have any good recommendations for survival prescription glasses / goggles? There is so little information on that unfortunately.
This first small batch became available directly from Savotta near the end of January. They are mostly sold out now, but a large production run is in the works right now and they should be available from Savotta and at retailers like Varusteleka in March sometime.
Thanks friend :) Haha I have to go back and watch the video again to know which one, I'm sorry my memory is pretty bad after some hits to the head. I will get back to you as soon as I can, but if I forget please don't take offense and I will always be cool with a reminder
The crossovers continue! Haha I need a way to mark you guys so I can keep track of who's who. But I'm super glad you found your solution, how's the color matching going for you?
Fjällräven. I just cut the leather logo off like I do with almost everything else. Actually now that I think of it, Savotta tags and logos are the only ones I don't cut off

New video is up if you want to check it out :)
@@Tim_Keys excellent, thank you :)

Love the videos. Keep going bro, from London 🏴 🇺🇲

Great video. What pieces of Tasmanian Tiger gear did you use and why did you stop?
I've been asked this quite a lot, and I think I might have to make a video on exactly why. It's hard to explain without showing visually what I mean. I will try to do that in the next couple weeks or so
Thanks for the great videos! You seem to be a Savottaholic😅, but this is really good for us. So please keep on doing those Videos.
Haha it's a sacrifice I am willing to make, an easy one really :)
@@Tim_Keys greetings from Germany 😀
Thank you for a tourni kit.
I wish all the best to you and everyone around you. My love, my energy, and my spirit is with you. Slava Ukraini
Great video. Where did you get the additional pouch you added to the Kukkaru? I think you called it a 2 x 2?
Thank you, and it's the "Zipped GP Pouch 2x2" from Savotta

And as for eye protection I really haven't looked in years. But back in the army circa ~2010 everyone was wearing Oakleys
So where exactly did you order it from? I thought they weren't released yet?

@TimothyKeys I seen the March release date.. Sucks that savotta doesn't ship to the u.s.
Wich country in europe? Greetings from Belgium.
Haha as far east as you can call central
Nice video! Would like to build the same shoulder strap. What parts do i need? 😊
You mean the strap at 14:00 ?
That's just the waistband of the pack, extended closer to its max length.
Thanks friend :)

@@Tim_Keys you already answered me on reddit 😁
I ended up getting the TT mk2 sling, works like a charm 👍🏻
