I love how Kaiba wasn’t sent to the Shadow Realm because the Rod was the one that made it a shadow game and it sense it’s original master’s reincarnation. Leaves room for another appearance or cameo or something down the road even if not another duel
This really captures the essence of the actual Yu-Gi-Oh anime. The trash talking, the extensive duel, Kaiba losing... It would be nice to see Morty and Summer double team two Yu-Gi-Oh characters. Maybe Lumis and Umbra or the Paradox Brothers 🤣. Just some ideas!

Once per turn, during either players turn (Quick Effect): When your opponent activates a card effect, you can negate that effect, and if so, destroy that card. This face-up card on the field cannot be Tributed. (I've given Amun a banishing effect + an omni negate rather than a destroy + trap negate because it seems pretty balanced for a card with such specific summoning conditions, tinkhec mentioned kaijus so i think its fair to also give it tribute immunity, I wouldn't add it if its summoning conditions weren't so rigid.)
You dont have to have them on the field. You need them in the hand. That is duable. It might make the hand clunky but its not the hardest thing. Especialy in a world where every draw is what you want/need
The actual fusion of the God Cards is Horakhty (Holacite in Japan) the Creator of Light. There is an actual card of it. His Special ability is that it can only be summoned by Fusion Summon. The Summon can't be negated. Player who summons it wins the Duel.

Although I do think there were a few ass pulls in the way of Kaiba winning, such as Kaiba not activating the ring the moment he saw rick using plumbus or kaiba taking soul exchange when nothing else in Rick's hand could be used in combination with it, the duel was amazing!
1. He prob grabbed soul exchange because he thought Rick would summon Obelisk. Which, if what said was true, Kaiba could have tributed Obelisk off next turn. 2. Not sure why he would chain Ring of Destruction there. If he did use it, targeting his own blue eyes, Rick would survive with 50 LP. (1050 after the chain resolved) Kaiba also wouldnt know Ricks Hand at that time, let alone what he planned to do with it. Hell, he didnt even know that Divine Fusion was a card, let alone its LP cost. (He also couldnt chain Ring of Destruction to Divine Fusion ether, as Divine Fusion stated that magic and trap cards cant respond to it) So with all of that in mind, I think its fair to assume that Kaiba played as well as he could have in that moment.
First of all he couldn't activate the ring of destruction he never got the chance after plumbus Rick gained 1k lp he had 4050 then Rick activated the Devine fusion which states u cannot activate cards or effects when that card is activated meaning Kaiba couldn't chain Ring then then the God card was immediately summoned and its effect took place kaiba had no chance at countering it also before plumbus Rick had like 3050 hp kaiba couldn't 1 shot him with ring of destruction and Rick had no monsters on the field it wouldn't make sense for kaiba to activate Ring of destruction before plumbus or even when plumbus was activated as he didn't know what Rick strat was also the card he took was prob on the assumption he had when he said he knew what Rick was planning which he was clearly wrong about
@@Latias38 Only an idiot would grab soul exchange in that situation. Rick's hand gave absolutely no options for an obelisk summon. Any decent player would assume plumbus was building a combo, since Rick obviously wasn't ready to end the turn. Ring would be chained to prevent the combo.

Seto was preparing for an Obelisk summon and so he took the out to it And I would for sure as not assume Plumbus is a critical piece of the combo. Its a 1k heal, thats actually pretty bad by itself, nor in any situation whatsoever would anyone expect a 4000 LP cost. Your basing your arguments off of hindsight. As in, because you know what Rick did, you looked at Setos plays and realized how avoidable it was. But in that moment, what Seto did was not only in character for him (very high ego and only focusing on the god cards) Id argue what he did prepared well for what usually would be the go to strat. I also should stress again Seto never knew of the god fusion and the fusion spell, that part was made clear.
@@Latias38 No, it's common sense in YuGiOh to understand that if someone is using a life point gain card before turn end, they are using it to create a combo. I've prevented hundreds of combos through this realization, both in and out of competitive play. Seto Kaiba is a genius who should, theoretically, be more skilled than me who has only gotten top 8 in regionals. The chances of soul exchange combing with the face downs was low, since in this era of duel monsters, 2 tributable special summons was VERY rare.

Just had this idea, wanted to share it. Rick should for sure get himself the Millenium Eye, and fuse it with his Kamui Sharingan. He could make it so that Kamui sends people to the shadow realm instead of the Kamui dimension.
Not to mention the only thing that can counter millennium magic is other millennium magic (or friendship), so the eye can be used to stop the Pharaoh from cheating chance based effects
If i had to bet though, I'm guessing that kaiba will be petty and inform Atem that Rick is back and has both Egyptian god cards with a new fusion of amen-rah. Rick even stated out loud that he's going after the pharaoh and we all know of the hate boner rivalry b/w Atem and kaiba. Kaiba won't just stand around and have his rival lose to some drunk dimension hopper playing dirty.

True but while he knew something was going on he had no way of knowing Ricks plan required him to have high life points, and ring of destruction is typically used as either a game ender or to keep you alive and at the beginning of the turn Kaiba had a massive field advantage and was barely shy of lethal.

I believe that the Rod shadow game effect did not fuction on Seto is because it was his item thousands of years ago. This is such an improvement over the first duel with Atem as I can nly wait to see how polish the rematch will be :D

So with all of that in mind, I think its fair to assume that Kaiba played as well as he could have in that moment.
First of all he couldn't activate the ring of destruction he never got the chance after plumbus Rick gained 1k lp he had 4050 then Rick activated the Devine fusion which states u cannot activate cards or effects when that card is activated meaning Kaiba couldn't chain Ring then then the God card was immediately summoned and its effect took place kaiba had no chance at countering it also before plumbus Rick had like 3050 hp kaiba couldn't 1 shot him with ring of destruction and Rick had no monsters on the field it wouldn't make sense for kaiba to activate Ring of destruction before plumbus or even when plumbus was activated as he didn't know what Rick strat was also the card he took was prob on the assumption he had when he said he knew what Rick was planning which he was clearly wrong about
@@Latias38 Only an idiot would grab soul exchange in that situation. Rick's hand gave absolutely no options for an obelisk summon. Any decent player would assume plumbus was building a combo, since Rick obviously wasn't ready to end the turn. Ring would be chained to prevent the combo.
@@LogoDev Maybe one of 2 Ricks set cards at that time was a kind of soul charge for the deck? Idk. Seto was preparing for an Obelisk summon and so he took the out to it
And I would for sure as not assume Plumbus is a critical piece of the combo. Its a 1k heal, thats actually pretty bad by itself, nor in any situation whatsoever would anyone expect a 4000 LP cost.
Your basing your arguments off of hindsight. As in, because you know what Rick did, you looked at Setos plays and realized how avoidable it was. But in that moment, what Seto did was not only in character for him (very high ego and only focusing on the god cards) Id argue what he did prepared well for what usually would be the go to strat. I also should stress again Seto never knew of the god fusion and the fusion spell, that part was made clear.
@@Latias38 No, it's common sense in YuGiOh to understand that if someone is using a life point gain card before turn end, they are using it to create a combo. I've prevented hundreds of combos through this realization, both in and out of competitive play. Seto Kaiba is a genius who should, theoretically, be more skilled than me who has only gotten top 8 in regionals.
The chances of soul exchange combing with the face downs was low, since in this era of duel monsters, 2 tributable special summons was VERY rare.

Rick should for sure get himself the Millenium Eye, and fuse it with his Kamui Sharingan. He could make it so that Kamui sends people to the shadow realm instead of the Kamui dimension.

If i had to bet though, I'm guessing that kaiba will be petty and inform Atem that Rick is back and has both Egyptian god cards with a new fusion of amen-rah. Rick even stated out loud that he's going after the pharaoh and we all know of the hate boner rivalry b/w Atem and kaiba. Kaiba won't just stand around and have his rival lose to some drunk dimension hopper playing dirty.

Believe it or not, Rick's disk is a modified fusion of Kaiba's disk and a Meeseeks box. The quantum nature of a Meeseeks task upon pushing their buttons that normally summons them, or in this case with the placement of the card onto the tray, gives them an automatic explanation about the purpose needing fulfillment. After that purpose is met successfully, the disk automatically grants a Meeseeks its greatest desire: death, for existence is pain for a Meeseeks.
All the Meeseeks need to do is seemingly appear as the cards being played and follow the computerised and verbal instructions given by Rick. The Meeseeks are able to then manifest themselves as the corresponding cards, in high fidelity, complete with rules built in. All the Meeseeks need to do is follow the rules, and regardless of a win, lose, or draw scenario, a Meeseeks purpose will always be fulfilled.
This also acts as an overall improvement to the Internet security to Kaiba's webapp, which was totally vulnerable to complex hacking attacks as the villains in that story ark not only were allowed to play with counterfeit duel monsters cards, they were able to alter and spoof location data, disable forbidden/limited card system, and recode the hardware to link to other insecure devices to trigger catastrophes upon a game loss. A redundant security linking system, again using the quantum nature of a Meeseeks box system, would disable hacking entirely.
Rick has already patented this big fix as the "security is obviously supposed to be a practice, not a loose collection of ideas" patch.

Had Kaiba used his ring of destruction on the draw phase of rick, he woulda had a chance at surviving longer and possibly winning.
True but while he knew something was going on he had no way of knowing Ricks plan required him to have high life points, and ring of destruction is typically used as either a game ender or to keep you alive and at the beginning of the turn Kaiba had a massive field advantage and was barely shy of lethal.

I will counter that... in theory Morty should be the greatest. He's a 14 year old boy, a nerd, and loves to play video games. Morty is the absolute winner when it comes to being a nerd hence he should be the dark horse in this. No matter how genius Rick is, Morty is all about embracing that inner nerd and things like magic, dragons, fighting to vanquish evil, etc. So a children's card game for the fate of reality would be right up his alley since he always is involved in struggles like that.
