    One thing that I would like to point out is that if a building without elevator, then the total floor should be less than 7 you are not likely to see one with 10 floor yet without elevator

    Sadly I believe you do now require at least a 4 year Bachelors degree (Any bachelors degree) to be able to teach English in China. It doesn't matter if you can speak Mandarin at an HSK6 level and are a fluent English main language speaker, You will simply get denied if you do not have at least a BA degree. Or am I mistaken?

    • @AileenyVision

      +Blanca Jaiman You're welcome~ and don't worry about that, chinese people are very welcoming. Many chinese people have never had the opportunity to speak or make friends with a foreigner before, so when they see a foreigner they like to come up to them and ask them to be friends hehe~ this happens all the time, so its very easy to make friends with chinese ☺️ good luck and welcome to China!

    Thank you for your information. I am going to pass this to my son who has expressed interest in the past to study in China. He has been to Fuzhou and Shanghai in the summer to train in their table tennis school when he was on of the top table tennis juniors in the US. He just graduated from high school and will be going to UC Merced. But this might give him some interest in the future. Besides I would like him to meet a nice chinese girl!
    What does Yongka do? Good luck to both of you. You can tell Yongka, my favourite table tennis player is Kim Taek Soo.

    Thank you for uploading this video, it has been very useful as an introduction to me. I am graduating soon in Business Administration and considering going to China for an internship, but also the option of staying there after, if I like it, do you know what are the most common jobs I could get ( teaching English is not my thing) with my degree in Business? Oh, I am from Spain based in Paris, if you want any info on these two cities let me know. Thanks again.

    • @AileenyVision

      Thats great that you found it useful! If you are amazing in your major there might be possible job opportunities without having to learn chinese, but most likely if you want to get a job that has to do with your major you will have to speak chinese to be able to work in China, as for simple jobs like teaching/modeling/bartending etc. Chinese skills aren't required. I dont know much about your major or what your interested or what your skills, but for example I have some foreign friends who have marketing jobs here in China.

    Hi Aileen. I am a new subscriber. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.. It offers very valuable information. I can only imagine the time and effort it takes in making these videos. I live in the U.S. and had met a Chinese man here on a work visa from Shenzhen. He spoke very little English and I speak no Chinese. But the chemistry was undeniable.:) Hand signals, laughing and Google Translate had been our mode of communicating.:) Which had been fun at times, frustrating at others, and I'm sure played a part in some major misunderstandings. Meeting him and having had this experience has really opened my eyes and given me some inspiration. I have decided to study Mandarin in Beijing this fall and get a better understanding of Chinese culture. Initially, I thought I would study at an academy. But now that I have watched your video I will also check on scholarships for the universities.. I have a couple of questions regarding jobs. I have a degree but it's unrelated to language or teaching. Do you think it matters what the degree is in for a teaching job? Also, I work in the healthcare field currently and am looking to get more education to become a nurse or nurse practitioner. Do you know of any schools that offer that kind of education to foreigners? Or if there are healthcare facilities that hire foreigners as nurses or nurse practitioners.?

    • @AileenyVision
      @AileenyVision  8 років тому +1

      Hey girl! :) Im sorry for the late reply, you're welcome! It means a lot that you appreciate my work that i do to make the videos. Sounds like a great experience you had with this man! Im so happy for you~ And In China its not required to have a degree to get a teaching job. Ive seen people who are science teachers, or language teachers with no degree at all. So you definitely have an opportunity to find teaching jobs. But the truth is that teaching other subjects other than a language might be a little harder to find.
      And I dont think they will hire foreigners as nurses, since all the patients are Chinese and they do things very differently to other countries. I think if you graduated from a university in China, then you can probably be hired. And yes there are different schools that have healthcare related majors. I haven't looked into a nursing major in specific, so I need to look into that and get back to you with the info I find~

    • @alashea2974
      @alashea2974 8 років тому +2

      No worries.:) I really appreciate you taking the time to respond. You should know that you and Yongka are a blessing to others. Your videos are always positive, fun and uplifting. They help to bring a positive connection between different worlds. I totally support what you are putting out there. Plus you two are so freakin' cute together.kkk

    • @AileenyVision
      @AileenyVision  8 років тому +1

      Thank you for your comment~ You have also uplifted our spirits with that :) And i did some research to find which schools in Beijing have a nursing major, and those universities are the following: Peking University, Peking Union Medical College, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, and Capital Medical College (北京大学、中国协和医科大学、北京中医药大学、首都医科大学 ). But you would have to do some more research on your own and decision making on what you want to do. Some of these universities offer programs in english, some dont, some only have chinese programs. You can search online for their websites and on the top right corner you can click for the english version of their website and read more about what each university offers. I dont have further details because i dont have experience in those other universities. But i am from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, i recommend that the Chinese program is better, and the majors there are specifically for oriental medicine and not western medicine. Well good luck! I hope that helps a bit.

    aileen how easy or hard is it for someone like me to go and visit or live there how what accommodations or how much accommodations are there for people in wheelchairs like let's how big are the apartments or houses for someone like me how are the streets are there a lot of accessible place for someone like me I head you say that in the apartment that you live in there is an elevator. How many people in wheelchairs have you seen living there?

    • @AileenyVision
      @AileenyVision  8 років тому

      Hello Martica ☺️ well i think china is not very wheelchair friendly, of course there are some people in wheelchairs here, so its possible. But the reason why its not very convenient is because China has too many people and even for me it can sometimes be hard to get through some places because of either how small it is or because of the amount of people there are. I think if you were considering coming it would be best as just a trip, but i dont see it being more convenient than the U.S. so living here would not be too easy

      I apologize if someone else has already asked this I am new to the channel. I am really enjoying this video thank you for uploading it. My question is..... Do you have to have a degree to teach English? Can I just do it with a tefl certificate? Appreciate your time thank you for the video

    • @AileenyVision
      @AileenyVision  7 років тому

      Thank you for your interest in our video. In China no degree is needed to teach english, even a tefl certificate is not needed. Many people start teaching here in private classes, or in schools, even without having experience. But of course if you do have experience, or have certificates or a degree you can put that on your resume and find a higher paying job.

      +D Nguyen Well ideally you want to find a job that offers a visa, some jobs do. If not, applying for a school would be the next option. And if you have western features, people on the street will often ask you if you if you can tutor. If you dont have western features you will probably have to put a bit more effort, like posting an ad on our beijing website or looking through the ads to see if people are looking for a tutor. There are plenty!

      OneWorld2Hearts Thanks for your input! I will do my research and hopefully be able to explore China as you are. I must say I am a little envious. 😀 Be safe and if you are wanting to share other pros and cons of China feel free to type away. Best wishes and positive vibe on your journey abroad.

    I know you can't work in China with a tourist visa but that seems like the best option because the work visas are so hard to come by. Is there a way to stay longer then 60 days once you arrive? I know one must leave China and return. But is it possible to enter with a tourist visa and then get a work visa after.

    • @AileenyVision
      @AileenyVision  8 років тому

      No there isn't any way to stay longer if thats the visa you have, if you'd like to stay longer then you'd probably want to have a student visa. And I dont know if its possible to change a tourist visa into a working visa, the regulations change over time, I dont know what are the regulations at the time.

      it's hard for me to explain what I mean. but I'm talking about the first time you enter the country. to get the visa you need proof of a round trip ticket. is there a way to enter China by buying one ticket there and buying a ticket leaving China and going to HK showing that you are leaving the country. Is this possible?

      @AileenyVision  8 років тому

      Im sorry I dont know specifics about visa regulations, I just know general information about whats needed. Ive never had to do that, and neither has any of my friends. We are here on student and working visas.

    How much can you make as a model as a girl?

    • @AileenyVision
      @AileenyVision  8 років тому +3

      It all depends on how good you are. If you suck at modeling, like you dont know much about poses and all you have to offer is a foreign face then you can earn about $50-$100 USD an hour, if you know about modeling and are good at it, then bigger companies and runways want you and you can earn much more than that minimum that i said. Sometimes $200 an hour, it depends. I dont know the exact amount.

    I love your channel, you have GREAT content! I have gotten many offers to teach in China, but I am quite dead set on South Korea atm, but you've made me rethink about the avaliable opportunity. In ALL honesty which country do you enjoy better, and which one would you recommend for a Latina American foreigner that will VERY LIKELY be bringing my dog along? I have read about a lot of negatives on China, such as living conditions, pollution, pay and so forth. BTW you and Yonka(hopefully I am spelling that right) are an amazing, attractive and most importantly, humble couple, you guys are the best couple on youtube to be honest! It would be cool to meet since Godwilling I will be going in approximately three months the most, do follow my journey on my channel if you can! Take Care😊

      Hey! Oh thats really interesting! And well I can't make a decision for you, because everybody is different. Just because my choice was China, in no way does that mean that everybody should chose China too. So I can only tell you my opinion, and you can make a decision based on that. China doesn't have many rules, or it does, but nobody follows them. This has a good part, which is that you feel free to do anything (culturally, socially, professionally, and in all aspects), but the bad part is that since there are no rules, it can be dirty, and not always controlled etc. I find that China is a place for adventurous people. Korea on the other hand has many rules (culturally, socially, professionally etc.) The good thing is that because of all these rules, its clean, and people are very polite etc, The bad thing is that because of those rules you dont have as much freedom in those aspects i said. In my opinion Korea is for people who are more picky and looking for that "cute" part of Asia. If you are already set for Korea, then just follow your heart, don't change because someone else (us) has different tastes. I hope this helps a bit. If you have other questions message me on Instagram, its easier to message each other there. And thank you for your compliments!!

    Hahaha no it's not that I want to go visit or go live there I just thought that it would be cool for you to make a video about that. U know what mean and also if you see someone in a wheelchair walking around one interview that person ask them how they live how they do to get around you I just think that topic for a video would be very interesting.

      It’s in USD. And by the way this video isn’t about Hong Kong, this video is about mainland China. Hong Kong has a different currency from mainland China (which is what I’m referring to in this video).

    Your information about not needing a degree to teach English is out of date. I have learnt from ADVchina you usually a degree to teach English in China and you need a Z visa to work in China.

    • @AileenyVision
      @AileenyVision  5 років тому

      Im still living in China and I know many people who don't have degrees to teach. So not needing a degree is still current. But of course every school/company is allowed to chose what requirements they are looking for, but there are many locations who still don't require one. And the visa rules and process to get one changes every year. Usually if the company is giving you a full time teaching job they will be able to get you a work visa, and some hire you without giving you a visa. Anyways like I've said the visa process is something that is always changing every year.

    Hi, would you know anything about medical requirements for getting a work visa? I'm trying to land a job to teach English however I might not get it because I have latent TB. I've been searching everywhere online to see if latent TB is considered when passing this medical requirement.

    • @AileenyVision
      @AileenyVision  7 років тому

      Well, I can't get that visa because of their strict medical requirements. whether latent or regular TB, it's still TB. Man, I was so sure to get the job in China...

    • @AileenyVision
      @AileenyVision  8 років тому

      i talked about 3 visas: the tourist visa, student visa, and then the working visa

    • @Roberttang20
      @Roberttang20 8 років тому

      +OneWorld2Hearts i meant the one that lasted 10 years

    • @AileenyVision
      @AileenyVision  8 років тому

      Oh i see. The one that lasts 10 years is the Tourist visa for U.S citizens. Since its a tourist visa you can only stay in China for 3 months at a time. so you can visit for three months, step out of the country and keep going back for 3 months, and it expires after 10 years.

      i'm not an american though, so I have to reapply for a VISA every time I go back
