Funny how inflation doesn't scale with job salaries
I made $6.40 in 2001. Today, I make $28.70. Same company. Same position. So yeah, wages have gone up. Also, in 2001, when I started, the maximum wage was for that position was $13.50.

In 2001 an employee getting paid did the check out for you and bagged your items too. Plastic bags were still free in Los Angeles. Now they got you paying 10 cents a bag, you yourself are doing the check out and bagging your items as well. 🤦🏻♂️ And then the employee watching you do the check out goes and trips out when you make a mistake or forget to scan an item. You’re doing the work for them and ain’t getting paid. It’s ridiculous. 😂 You can’t make this sheit up. 🤣
