I just did a first impression video on this as well. The Guiac Wood gives me a leathery scent, but lighter (suede) with a sharp orange note and green dirty patchouli. I think the name is somewhat fitting but black tie is admittedly not my first thought when smelling it. With the ridiculous price aside, I think it’s the best fragrance from Jeremy! Definitely the least designer-y fragrance from his brand. Scent is 8/10 for me.

It's good to get a woman's review of Jeremy's black tie fragrance, I am at a toss up of which to try, Aaron or Jeremy, and reviews like this help me gauge where I think my nose would be most pleased. I feel I like more edgier scents.

People such as myself who are on a limited budget would definitely like to experience them, but maybe in a 10ml travel size if they were only offered.
I have the 10ml of this, Date and Office. Office is the best to my nose. The performance of Black tie is superb but nothing about it wows me enough to buy a large bottle at any price. I thought it might be a bit more challenging but as you say this is quite linear. Great review thanks.
Although I didn't had a chance to actually smell it, I think Jeremy did a good work with letting Alberto Morias doing a spin-off on traditional, business fragrance in his own way by making it bit more fresh than some would expect it to be. I see what they did with it and since it's smelling good, but simply not as woody as it could be under such name I think Jeremy got the job done. Fragrances are kind of art and Jeremy decided to play around a bit with rather strict formula, as it's possible to point black ties fragrances under such category and since he had such master perfumer leading his project I see his point totally. I'm interested whether they tried to use an ambroxan since Mr Alberto had a lot of success while using it in his fragrances
Agree purchase it 😔 I was like shocked I was expecting like, Explore, Creed Green Irish or Tom Ford leather black bottle. But NOOOOO I would say stick too hmmm 🤔🤔🤔 Prada . . The clean fresh smell, wont spend money on Jeremy's Black Tie just wasnt what I thought it would be, the smell of it . . I rated a 5/10

I like black tie but it is not a must buy for me. i feel it is really dense and almost smelled like silly-putty . The first time i wore it i had to go and wash it off because i had done 3 sprays aaand it was everywhere ! Like yourself, i enjoyed office a lot better, even date. In my opinion, if i had to rank frangrance one i would have office, date, black tie & unisex.

It's a very strange concoction. It's got the fresh, sweet mandarin up top but then this medicinal, band-aid smelling leather accord. It's a similar leather to Dior Homme Parfum but dear god, please don't think I'm comparing it to that. I HATED it at first, but now I've come to enjoy the smell of it. However, I still would never wear it and for 400+ for a blind buy, absolutely not
I thought the opening is great but the dry down just smells muffy for me, like a shoe company in the 60s lmao And the price is just a joke... But to each their own.

I used the code to get it 66% off……and I have to say….Black Tie is one of the best fragrances I’ve ever smelt. It would have been worth the $400 Pricetag if he had Flashy bottles and overall presentation. That’s where I believe he fkd up. It looks like he spent 3 minutes on the Presentation.

If he ever brings this down to around $60 he'd sell a bunch and I'd be down to try it. Otherwise until then he can pi$$off! Really it's an arrogant price and that's too bad.
I respect Jeremy because of his contributions toward fragrance community. He recommended many great fragrances over the time. I bought few of them. Being all said, I am disappointed with this one ☝️! The quality of this fragrance just does not match with price.
In comparison to other niche fragrances, the presentation (packaging, bottle and cap) doesn't reflect the price at all. For me this is a knockout criteria.
@@conormcgregor6001 so office is powerful a few sprays and you can smell it for a long while if your in an enclosed space. But it didnt smell super unique just a citrus burst of like a fresh cologne. Now heres the tricky thing about date i initially hated it than it grew on me it smells far better than office. And got many more compliments with the ladies. And black tie is by far my favorite. Performance is a last about a day or so i think if not washed but it does become a skin scent if you have it on a day or so. As well you can get nose blind easily, my dude

Just bought most of his fragrances 65% off what a steal.
He stated in one of his recent videos that he could offer them for about 35€ ... his prices are disgusting

While Dior Homme could be a good formal fragrance, it strikes me as more romantic. Bois du Portugal is the most formal fragrance, IMHO.

Fragrance One charges too much for their products. Their 100ml bottles should be priced at $100 - $150. Black tie is waaaay too expensive.
