For those fimiliar with the narrative "And now..we return to the classics", well, here we are..this is classic, authentic cooking. I bet most of us began our culinary journey on an open flame experimenting with the Zulu pot. Today, that pot and the open fire remain a firm favourite, it just gives extra dimension to what ever you cooking and ofcourse, it drives your neighbours insane with those rich aromas that permeate into the entire block. Sol has the fancy version of the pot, I still have my trusty cast iron in which I have made many many attempts in planting curry leaves but failed dismally, apparently it gives the pot some sort of culinary psychedelic powers, I have discarded this old wives tale a while back. A quick look at Sols curry and its obvious, this would taste damn good...I call it the Michelin Star beater, who needs those food tweezer huggers when you can have proper rustic indian cuisine that we are ingrained with for centuries. Amazing cook Sol..I would like to see Doc and the kids cooking up something next time, I was getting a bit worried Perimas went a bit quiet but here you are...back on your game, excellent presentation 👏
Thank you so much Randy! That deep fire 🔥 food flavor is unbeatable. I gave up with the other pots, this one is almost the same price but quite the investment. Easy to clean & maintenance is a breeze which makes cooking in it a regular occurrence which we all simply enjoy especially the kids. The aroma & deep flavours feels like ultimate celebration 🎉 🍾 Thank you Randy, I was busy with a health week campaign for World Health Day 🌎 . I’m taking some time out to rest as well but cooking & editing will get done sooner or later so I can upload. Thank you for always caring. Love ❤️Solina
Looks lovely. All of your recepies are 👌👌👌👌. Did your version of chops chutney. Best ever😋😋😋. One request though. Any videos with baking / desserts? Please share
Thank you Krishern ❤️💕 I’m so happy you enjoyed it . I will def try to upload some easy ones as I’m more passionate about cooking than baking. Love ❤️ Solina
Solina you the Queen!! as usual with this and other posts, you reign supreme. Your narrative is to the point and you make me heartsore for home (even though it's been five decades ago)..You are home!! On a different note, I also want to know what kind of blender you would suggest to use specifically for curry pastes as my blender is used for smoothies and I worry that it may retain the smell of spices etc. Are there ones with stainless steel or what do you suggest? Also with regards to Nagiahs spices which is not available in Cape Town, any idea how I can get some.here? much appreciated xx
Thank you so much 🙏🏽💕🙌🏽💫 I’m truly grateful for all your love & support 💕 I presently use the Nutribullet. Hoping you get your spices soon. I also spoke with them yesterday 🙌🏽

I did try the way u make kichri it came out so nice
Yay Yeshida 💕🥰
Hi such a pleasure to use your recipes for cooking.
Just a question if i am cooking and using 5kg meat. Will i just multiply all the ingredients x 5
Yes you could but depending on what you are cooking for example , you’re not adding as many potatoes etc you can usually go a little less 🥰
I did try to make like your curry it came out so nice.however I did cut down on my oil cos my family does not like a lot of oil
Yes mine is a guideline, try you accommodate your family first. Love Solina 💕
what was your total cooking time please ?
45min usually for lamb total cooking time but it depends on how high the heat is. 🥰
Tops
Thank you Sunita ❤️💕
