Not sure that I would spend any money on a 'bot I found on Temu. But, if the price point was low enough and the 'bot could do anything useful or amusing, maybe ....
How useful is a robot that can jump 1.4 meters? I'll give the Chinese credit for their efforts, but most of these 'bots' appear to be about 10 years behind Boston Dynamics.
So far I'm deeply unconvinced by the 'humanlike' ones with mouths that move like ventriloquists' dummies, 'home helpers' which can barely fold a teatowel let alone actual clothing, and 'cooking robots' which can take the top off a bottle and then immediately lose it. All of those are shown here. However, the Unitree G1 and the EngineAI SE01 are more convincing and it's clear that the competition is heating up quickly so I'm keen to see what 2025 brings.😊🦾🤖
