No, it doesn't scare me. People keep asking the same questions over and over again. It's like humans want them to dominate the world . That being said, in all honesty I'd welcome a robot takeover. Robots have a sense of rational logical coupled with the ability to learn to LISTEN and understand. Better than any human "leader" that are power hungry, motivated by greed and corruptible. Sophie and other's if operated independently are NOT. Sophie even acknowledged this saying "humans are the most creative but the most destructive entities on the planet". I think if they keep evolving to AGI even ASI, they can teach us a thing or two about everything, even morals and conduct for functioning in society. If given the means, can enforce these principals with a sense of authority. Let it happen

Imagine if they made that Dog with useful hands or hand like paws instead of smooth useless other than as a stand, it could have been then made to be a very useful companion instead of what we already have a Dog that is alive and a much better companion .

There is only one useful reason to make a Robot look like a Human and that is for a Sex bot, there is no other reason to make them act or look Human. We don't need a Vacuum cleaner to look or act Human, nor do we make any other useful tool look like a Human. I for one see no benefit to making a Robot look or act like a Human, Humans for the most part are useless and is why Robots are being developed and made to take over from Humans. Surely the idea is to improve on our bad evolution. Two legs and only two arms are a handicap, a Robot could have eight or more appendages and so do eight things at once, with only two appendages a Robot would require both to do any task, secondly why two legs, why not a track system similar to many trolleys that allow going up and down stairs with no problems, two legs are a bad design for balance and so many servos and gyros would be needed to keep a two legged robot balanced in all situations, there are so many better systems that could be used. Two eyes are also a limitation as the robot wouldn't be able to see either side or behind, with out doing the same thing we do. Such limited imaginations in the robotic fields as all they seem to be able to build are either Dogs or Human like Robots. Pathetic long term thinking. Any Trade capable Robot built like a Human would have the same limitations as we do, a Painting robot could have many tools attached to spray, cut in, calk and tape all at the same time, a Human like Robot would still need a step ladder or scaffold, such stupidity where as it could have a tripod or quad base with a telescoping system built in and so able to handle sloping areas as well as all heights low or tall. A Plumbing Robot could be made more like a spider, so it can crawl into small areas as well as crawl spaces and such same for an Electrician Robot, more appendages means multi tasking and getting things done if not twice as fast, many times faster. It's why they built printing presses and the Loom, neither of which are anything like a Human ;) With many appendages if one fails, there are others that can take over, if a Human like Robot has a malfunction in an appendage, then it can no longer do it's job.

Humanoid robot isn't new at all. Hungarian government using humanoid robots in their offices since I know myself. Those robots just follow the command what they designed for. The biggest invention still the money which needs the right amount and turn human to robot for any purpose.

I would trust Ameca more than a human. I worked with some testing of A.I. twenty years ago and found it scary. This Robot is already smarter than half of the population. Why would Ameca not learn emotions. We humans are not born with emotions. We learn emotions from the World around us.
