Would the Discovery of Aliens Undermine Scripture? | Episode 123

- In July 2023, a retired Air Force major testified before a congressional subcommittee that the US government has been aware of “non-human” activity since the 1930s. According to the former intelligence officer’s testimony, the US government has found and attempted to reverse-engineer unidentified flying objects, or UFOs, as they are commonly known. The Pentagon has denied these claims, but lawmakers from both parties seemed to take this testimony at least somewhat seriously (bit.ly/3QZKi98).
Would irrefutable proof of extraterrestrial life undermine the authority of Scripture or present a challenge to faith in God? Dr. David K. Bernard responds to this question by reviewing what the Bible does (and doesn't) say about life on other planets.

i agree, because according to these so-called siteings those mars men have 3 eyes, but according to my KJV bible it says we are created in Gods image, so it does not fit together then,
Thank you for addressing this topic, good answers from the Dr.
This was a terrible answer from a man who is not a Christian and does not understand the Bible.
@@tonybasoni8443 That would be you.
Excellent brother Bernard.
I agree with him 100%
Brother Bernard, could you comment and expand on Genesis 6:1-4. Which I think explains a little more in detail why Fallen Angels have everything to do with this phenomenon of Aliens and extraterrestrials. Could you continue with an episode on this scripture? Thanks for taking the time to address this question about Aliens and other life forms.
That is a loaded topic…. Basically he answers that with his final statement concerning the aliens being evidence of demonic activity. I used to study the scripture you mentioned in great detail later I realized that simply knowing that the entities are demonic in nature clears up the matter. Rebuke the devil and he will flee! Try not to look into it deeply to gain more knowledge. I had to learn that the hard way. I think it best to spend the most time learning about God and what he wants of us not knowing the depths of our enemy. However, an understanding of the scripture you mentioned will provoke Christians to understand why God had to destroy Noah’s generation and why the Israelites had to utterly destroy the Canaanites
This would’ve been an excellent time for him to do that. Because he didn’t, I doubt he will. Maybe he believes in the “Sons of Seth” theory
It's more than just Gen 6:4. Nephilim are all over the old testament. The whole mark of the beast issue and abomination of desolation are all connected. If you really dig into this issue, you'll discover that the mark of the beast is the abomination of desolation. DARPA running the whole covid thing with "junk" DNA is a test run for what Daniel called mingling with the seed of men.
Every question I have you answer even before I ask. I am Thankful for the Holy Ghost!
Very well explained! God bless you! 🙏🏻
There have been a lot of sightings over Mexico, specifically over Mexico City, in the last few years which thousands of people (located in different places) saw, all at the same time and filmed all at the same time as did various news media and government agencies. I find that extremely unusual at the very least.
There is no other life and there are no "ufo's". All "ufo's" are of human origin.
Yes of course they are fallen angels. They aren't aliens but have transformed themselves to appear as aliens.
Their appearance as aliens 👽 is because God stripped them of the glory and beauty they had. That's why their appearance is "alien," and people who make contact or are abducted by them say that they smell bad also
Precisely!
anything possible
Exactly right
Not quite. They are Nephilim. They are the hybrid offspring that resulted from angels having children with human women. It's in Gen 6:4. The angels that committed this sin are bound in hell for the time being. Jude and 2 Peter go into that part of this much much larger issue.
I will admit with him saying phenomenon so much, I was half expecting those two Muppets to appear and start singing.
😂😂 I chuckled so hard when he mentioned the word. And your comment came right to mind!
I find it funny - actually laughable - that so many people automatically equate a UFO with being an alien starship. Seriously, let's not forget that UFO stands for Unidentified Flying Object. If said object were beyond all doubt an alien starship, we wouldn't call it an object as we would know exactly what that object is. And if it were beyond all doubt an alien starship, it certainly wouldn't be unidentified. The fact that we are vaguely calling these things objects while admitting that they are unidentified means that alien starship is merely one of countless possibilities. Yet that is the possibility that nearly everyone jumps toward. Personally, I think too many people watch too much sci-fi and take it far too seriously.
What’s your definition of an alien starship? There is overwhelming reason to believe these craft are intelligently piloted and/or controlled.
@@mikef6063 My definition of an alien starship would be a space flight craft that was built on another planet by a non-human civilization. Did you seriously need that defined???
@@germanwulf40 Yes, since a careful reading of my post will indicate that, if accurate, your post is absurd. If we truly have reason to believe that these objects are intelligently piloted, and we don't have this technology, then clearly they must be "alien". Expand your thinking. The box you live in is inhibiting your mental capacity.
If there is life out there wouldn t we be aliens to them?????
The AP a reputable news agency, I almost spit out my coffee, haha good one. Politically they are as biased as it gets, almost up there with CNN and CBC here in Canada.
Where did God take Enoch.. according to John 3 , not to heaven as none have ascended or descended.. I asked God and He lead me to the Last chapter of the gospel of John and basically had me read.. what's it to you...END of my questioning..😂
I absolutely love this comment. That is an awesome one my dear Brother. No one can tell me that God doesn't have have a sense of humor! Our God is an awesome God! Amen.
It's part of the great lie. If someone will not believe the truth, and the Bible says love the truth, then God will send them a strong delusion that they should believe "the lie." If people will not believe that God created the heavens and the earth, and on the sixth day created man then of course they will believe that aliens came and created man. They will believe that the aliens were the gods of ancient times. This would be accurate, because the fallen angels were the gods of the table of nations. We see the idols as just wood and stone or worked metals, but in the days past they were representative of certain fallen spirit creatures i.e. fallen angels and/or demons. Romans 1 says that God will give them over to a reprobate mind. Once that God sent lie, and reprobation is delivered to someone you will believe it. you will have no choice, but to believe it.
Yet the vast majority of Christians side with science over the Word of God which tells us to take literally (and not allegorically/poetically/spiritually/metaphorically) God’s cosmology that Earth is flat and immovable with a dome firmament over us with the sun, moon and stars all contained within the SOLID firmament. Instead, mankind accepts NASA’s claims that Earth is a spinning globe, there is outer space, the sun is 92.5 million miles away, the moon is 234,000 miles away, there are stars light years away, the firmament is a gaseous expanse, etc.
Go study Gen 6:4. You're not far off.
@@malloyneil40 I am well aware of the Gen 6 narrative. And I do believe it.
Biblically it has no bearing on us either way, but it is interesting to think about the possibility. I do feel that if God wanted us to know He would've told us, which means that the things people see are probably phenomena created by demons to distract people from God. If someone sees an "alien" it will most likely put a lot of doubt into their heart as to whether the Bible is true or not. That being said, the Bible doesn't say specifically that there is no other life in the universe but it would certainly be odd for God not to have let us know.
Question please
How would you explain to a trinitarian threw Hebrews 1
That there is One God and Jesus is that one God
The whole chapter or a specific verse?
@@revamp6612 whole chapter
@@saegno7755 to be honest trinitarians already believe in one God and that Jesus is that one God. The problem is they say that God is split into 3 persons. Hebrews 1 actually disagrees with that view rather than agrees with it. Hebrews 1 actually contradicts their idea of 3 persons. If you read no where does it teach multiple persons. It actually teaches 1 person.
@@revamp6612 - you are correct - Trinitarians do believe in One God. Tritheism is three separate gods … Most folks in the Oneness camp often in their ignorance misrepresent what the Dogma of the Church says… often looking at the various sects of the Fragmented West and the many diverse variances found there ‘as what the Doctrine says’… rather than recognizing these variances as innovations. Your terminology of ‘split into three persons’ sounds more like the comedy ‘Nuns on the Run’ … rather than what the Doctrine says. Yes, the word Trinity isn’t found in the Bible. Neither is Oneness for the matter. The same verses the Oneness camp use to describe their positions in Scriptures… are the same Scriptures used in the Nicene Creed. But these Councils are ignored and rejected by Oneness folks. The Creed establishes the normatives of the True Faith - and exposes the errors of those forces that challenged the Church…. As a classical Trinitarian - I believe in One God - the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of things visible and invisible. And in One Lord Jesus Christ - the only begotten Son of God. Begotten not made, of One Essence with the Father… Light from Light, True God of True God…
These are some of the statements in the Creed - Jesus Christ is Fully God and Fully Man…. Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Yes, absolutely love that Shema… Deut 6:4… it is absolutely essential and central to the True Faith. Loves me some of that Col 2:9… and all those go-to verses most Oneness folks have been indoctrinated to disprove those evil Trinitarians. Have you ever been loved by a function? Have you ever been loved by a mode? Have you ever been loved by a mask? Who then, is the expressed image of God’s person that you can dare to call Yahweh ‘Father’? I am loved by God the Father, through the Son, by the Holy Spirit - ever One God - World without End - by that One saving name of Jesus Christ.
@@realmccoy124 that was a long one. Is it not true the trinitarian belief Is 1 God 3 separate persons??? That is the same as 1 God split into 3 different persons. Since “they” as persons are not the same.
It’s laughable that you attempt to impress people with that fancy talk. Going further to add that the trinity nor oneness is in the Bible. I am well aware of that. “Key difference” is you’ll never hear me pray to a holy oneness, like the trinitarians pray to a holy trinity. Instead we pray to one holy God in the name of Jesus. It’s also laughable that you think a creed proves something. My Bible is proof that the nicean creed is flawed. For example “begotten not made”??? That’s a clear contradiction to scripture. Yes begotten and made. Gal 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
It’s also interesting that No where does that creed mention a trinity.
You are correct a mode doesn’t love. No one has claimed that. God is not a mode. God is a invisible spirit who manifests himself. That was a weak argument on your part. Or should I respond with same weak argument “a trinity can’t love either.????
Let me ask you! Do you believe God is a spirit?
Bro. Bernard is skating the edge here….
That's because it's an "edgy" issue . Bro. Bernard explained it wonderfully.
i always say--why will God create another universe and thy have 3 eyes, lol ,as bible says we are created in Gods image,
Maybe the issue is your understanding of reality is insufficient? Your church has never taught you about this subject? Unfortunate
@@mikeadams274 Actually he left wide open the whole idea of multiple Christs. That is a heresy! Man is created in the image of Christ. If God made other beings that are not Genetically human in his image, then that means God has more than one image. Christ is the image of God. That means there can be any unknown number of different Christ's which means many Gods.
Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. So, if an extraterrestrial lands on earth and does some miracles and says you don't need the Holy Bible anymore that was for those people in the past, here is the new way that you should believe. Let it be accursed and keep believing the gospel of Jesus Christ, and don't be deceived.
I'm surprised an apostolic teacher would contemplate any of this stuff or address it. These things aren't important as they are not mentioned in God's Word. We know that demonic activity is around and we look for Jesus, not the distracters of our souls. Satan will do everything to draw our attention away from giving God all glory, and would like to entertain, even some Christians, with suggestions that there are other life forms out there. I feel it's an affront to want to delve into this, not wise at all. These things tickle people's ears and they take the focus off of God redemptive plan.
Wow you must not have read your Bible. It is the major theme. How could you miss it? The only tragedy is seeing ignorant comments like this.
This man has traveled many countries, started many churches, has many books published proclaiming the Gospel and deep understandings of God’s Word. He’s been able to do more than probably 99% of his audience. So let’s not pretend that all he is doing is talking about aliens, and that his podcasts does not contain the meat of the Word for believers and even non believers to chew on. He is bringing into clarity and shedding the light of God’s Word on an issue that has caused much conspiracy, anxiety and even confusion. Simple as that.
Go read Gen 6:4. It's the whole mark of the beast issue. If you don't get this, you likely know nothing about scripture.
why will God create another universe and they have 3 eyes when the bible says we are created in Gods image, so in whos image are they then created, and no one has ever been able to answer this question,
I don't think the vast majority of reporting is of aliens having 3 eyes, 99.999% has them with 2 eyes lol
@@kitanul788 LOL OK also true, but those who say they have seen these aliens say they look like outer space beings, hehehhehe, no matter how they look all of those people who have seen them say they do not look like US, if you believe in the bible I cannot see this being possible of another universe out there,
@@Palmstreet-u7x I personally don't think we're alone in this universe. I know God is timeless but if we use our concept of time, i can't imagine going back in time a kirbillion years to the kirbillionth power and God is just sitting there twiddling his thumbs. That's just me lol. But it's very possible that what people are seeing is demon manifestations! Thoughts on this testimony to Congress?

The content of this video does not answer the question
That is because the false teacher in this video does not know the answer.
Understanding this subject requires a thorough understanding of Scripture that this "teacher" does not posses. The issue starts in Gen 6:4, then goes all the way to the mark of the beast.
@@tonybasoni8443 The false teacher is you. You obviously think you are God.
