i’ve used procreate for YEARS and thought i knew a thing or two. this video had my jaw dropped the whole time 😮
I’m so glad you found this helpful! I felt the same way when I first saw some of these too 😆
Mood
The reference image was worth the whole video. Thanks.
That really is a game changer! I’m glad you found it helpful 😊
@@artbykrishie I’d been using the split screen which works, but loses so much screen real estate. The best part of the built in reference is you can manipulate the image the same as the canvas.
Exactly! From moving it around the screen, switching to different references easier, being able to change the size etc… I use it all the time now! You can even use it turn the camera facing you to help you draw self-portraits. When you click on Reference, head to the ‘Face’ tab to try it out. You can even take photos, record videos etc if you click on ‘Options’
Thank you! I bought Procreate two weeks ago, and I had no idea any of these functions existed. Very helpful.
Also I love how the video is short and just gets down to business instead of dragging out each tip for God knows how long. I appreciate that.
No problem - have fun with using Procreate! There’s so many handy tools on there, and I’ll be releasing a part 2 to this video soon with more tips 😊

What brushes were you using in the video? Great video as well btw. 👍👍💯💯💯
At first I’m like OK that was a good tip. Oh there’s another good tip oh and in another let me save this video. OK I’m gonna be like this video. Oh there’s another tip and I’m gonna have to figure out a way to keep this video handy all that one was great the switching one layer to another project. Wow this was my thought process. Thank you.
Ahh I’m so happy you found this useful!!
ur voice is so cute
Ah thank you 😆
I knew most things but never needed to use most? So yeah this was mostly a reminder to hey, you can still do it? XD thank youuu, sometimes we too who know, need a reminder they exist
Exactly this! I really hope Procreate bring out some new functionality soon - most of these tips are so simple but can have such a huge impact on your art and general productivity. It’s exciting to see what else they might come out with, as well with Procreate Dreams just being released
What brushes do you use??
This is so cool, are all of those portraits in your guide painted by you?
Thank you so much! And yes, they are - some of these I painted a year or two ago, and others are more recent 😊
Wow
Can you please showcase more of your work, especially Joachim Phoenix and Michael Gambon?
@@TheTJunction Of course! I’ll add them to my video list 😄
when you draw you have a circle where your pen is can you tell us how to get it?
Can’t find the BRUSH PIN option. When I swipe left, I have “Share/Duplicate/Delete
Head to the “Recents” tab, and you’ll be able to pin any brush you’ve just used 😊
AHHHH, yes, THERE it is! Thank you@@artbykrishie
@@karinyaboriskova441 No problem! 😄
swiping left does not bring up a pin option for me. Also the floating reference worked however mine has no X to delete it
You’ll need to be in the Recents tab in your brushes for the Pin option to be visible 😊
@artbykrishie oh okay cool I'll try that thank you 😊
Making a stamp of my signature isn't working
I can't seem to get the pin brush button? It's just share, duplicate, and delete
If you click on the Recents tab in the brushes, you’ll be able to pin them here 😊
@@artbykrishie thank youu
Am I the only one who knew all of these?
That’s great! I’m hoping to get a part 2 out soon 😊
I don’t have a pin option when I swipe left on my brushes I just have share/duplicate/reset. Anybody else?
If you scroll to the top of your brushes, and click on “Recent,” you can swipe left on any brush to Pin them!
Very helpful, but the is the English
Glad it’s helpful!
Great info, but this video really needs timestamps/chapters.
I’ll add them in for sure!
I followed cause i saw Shah rukh khan lol
thank you! but pleeeease slow down. i couldn’t keep up at all
Noted! I’ll be adding captions to this video to make it easier to follow along, and all future videos will be slower. Thank you for letting me know 😊
Why are you wearing that glove when procreate already supports palm rejection?
Makes our hands glide smoother when doing a long brush stroke or line or colourings
Good question! Procreate doesn’t offer the Palm Support feature anymore as of the 5.3 update last year - I believe this is in favour of the palm rejection technology that’s built into the Apple Pencil (and also to stop people from using other stylus’ that are not Apple)
Even with the palm rejection in the pencil, my iPad still picks up the occasional touch and can sometimes undo / redo / move the canvas etc when I don’t want it to. I wish we could adjust these settings but unfortunately we can’t, so this is a good fix for now!
You left out a lot of steps on some of these!
If I did, it was completely unintentional - which ones did I miss?
A lot of these features only work if The gesture preferences are set a particular way ( ? )
@@ChrstphreCampbell I’ve just checked and all the tips that I used in this video require the default settings - click on Actions > Preferences > Gesture Controls > General > Reset to defaults. The only tip that doesn’t require default settings is tip 11, but I show you how to change that in the video. Thanks for reaching out and letting me know 😊
I would definitely like more of these videos…. But please don’t talk so fast my 77 year old brain is not like it used to be 🐶
My excitement got the better of me! 😆 I’ll add captions to help and will slow down for sure in future vids
I mean it says in the title “quick”
