GUYS I've got to drop this MAJOR FIND here for you all, i've achieved vibration to work with my original Playstation 1 dualshock controller in Project Eris. I have connected my Og Ds1 controller trough a common twin joystic PIII USB/ps2 adapter to my unhardmodded (without current limiter mod) PSC ,turned pad type to Dualshock , and enabled vibration trough options in Retroarch. I'm making a video to show proof and will leave link below when it's done. It's working PERFECTLY. Im using PSX RA core from the cores link restalgia shared, I've replaced the one that came with bleemsync 1.2 with it.
I believe rumble has been working with retroarch for a little while now actually. But not many people have talked about it

Many people say it's working with their PS4 DS4, but i've been dealing with this since 1 year ago as many people who can't get rumble to work and it's a major deterrent to play certain games on the classic console. Just got myself a PlayStation classic yesterday and I love it so far, I had some issues because I have only apple products but took less than a half hour to setup and now I have resident evil 2 on my classic

TehNewParalyzer we implemented a new fast kernel flash. It will only flash if the payaload contains a newer PE kernel than installed and your backup is intact. It completely streamlines the whole kernel flashing process in the past

Ok, so first timer here with limited skills trying to revive my childhood:I've copied the project eris file to a formated usb stick. After inserting the usb, then hdmi, then power cable and turning the console on, it is not recognizing the usb. It instead just powers up like normal and goes to the pre-loaded games screen. Any insight what I should troubleshoot?
Yeah, for me I install Project Eris, I get the PSC to load it. When I go to the add games step and take the USB out and into my computer, then back to the PSC it just starts like normal. If I can figure it out, I will post here to let you know.
okay but what I'm not getting is 2:35 "format to Fat32 if this is a fresh install" and then 7:00 "prompt stating Fat32 format is not supported" are we supposed to arbitrarily double format for a fresh install, or couldn't we just format NTFS/exFAT from the start?
90's era PC games. Sim City 2000 PC version, maybe even SIMcopter, and streets of Sim city. As they use the same .SC2 SimCity files to make locations in the games. It could make for a nice trio with the PSclassic modding.
I just LOVE how all you guys make it seem so simple! I have tried autobleem, bleemsync and project eris! Every single one of these programs have given me nothing but trouble, I have followed every tutorial exactly how it's done and always end up with the same results! I'm stuck at 7:00. I'm on a clean PS Classic. My flash drive is running in FAT32 and I run into this message. I went back and reformat the flash drive to exFAT and put the files back on the drive, all while leaving the PS Classic on. I stick the flash drive back in the second slot and nothing happens; the screen never changes and I have no idea what happens next. I power off and on the PS Classic and it goes straight to thew stock menu and no Project Eris, all while the flash drive is sitting in the second slot. Any suggestions? Can I just skip using FAT32 and stick with exFAT or NTFS for the entire process?
@@JohnnyProctor9 It's a native command line command in Windows NT 4.0 through Windows 10. The convert command will only work in one direction - FAT32 to NTFS.
Hey, back when I nodded my ps classic, I went above and beyond to make my bleemsync build look as official as possible. I put alot of work in, editing the databases to match the correct publisher and titles, all the way down to small thing like colons instead of hyphens. To manually tuning up each box art to look clean, to creating my background, adding alternative sound effect when scrolling through the ui, etc. Will all that transfer over? Can I keep those custom folders on my usb and implement them to this?
Make sure to back up your USB fully first as you can always fall back to it but in theory yes. It will take your BS regional db and relocate it to the PE folder. If you have done changes to the DB schema though I am not sure how well that will work as we haven't tested that
@@drybananahippyhat3851 I also had someone from reddit make me a script to remove the initial warning screen, as well as remove the auto screen dimmer feature. will installing the new payload or kernel affect that, reverse it?
@@edwin99901 no in theory. The script will likely not be migrated over to the PE folder so you will need to readd it but you shouldn't need to do so as PE already does all of those things for the most part.

Drag and drop the games into the transfer folder and it will automatically process them. modmyclassic.com/project-eris-how-to-use/ Desktop app is coming shortly.
There is a note on the install page, this should be a very easy process (move one file from one folder to another) We will document this process within the next couple of days

Why need to be a powered USB hub? Also what's the OTG for? (i thought OTG is for micro usb to usb A?) Sorry, I'm new to this. Im planning to get PSC soon.
@Restalgia Does the OTG adapter you have listed work to both power the PSC and allow OTG data transfer? I see the listing says it has a switch that goes between OTG and Charge, but the description says only *SOME* device will simultaneously charge and transfer data. Is this the set up that you used?

Would you or anyone else know if it is possible to rotate the front end for a vertical build? I can get the games to rotate easily within retroarch but if I place my monitor vertically the menu will remain horizontal which is awkward.
Games are going into Emulation Station but not Project Eris. Also how do you get the cover art and game info? Do I have to get a network adapter for the classic?

Restalgia if I’m upgrading to Project Eris from the latest version of Bleemsync, can I delete the Bleemsync folder once I run the install like in your vid? If so, can I delete before install? The hard drive I’m using is pretty packed with games only leaving enough room for memory card saves and save states. I’ve even deleted the game covers folder to save space once the games were installed.

Can you confirm that once Eris is installed on the PS Classic the OTG capability is immediately available. Nothing else needs to be done to enable that?
So I already have Autobleem. If I want to do this one, I can just build on a fresh new USB. When I flash the new project iris internal for the new USB and build, can I still plug in my old Autobleem usb and will it work just as always? OK, I saw on the list the Wi-Fi adapter. Do I have to have this to run this mod to the PS Classic? I am also confused about the OTG adapter and the USB powered hub. Which one of these do I need? Do I need both? The hub is out of stock. Will most externally powered hubs work?
My favorite setting for my PPSSPP on the PSC (base it on performance, stable, and clear texture ) : Buffered Rendering, Alt Speed 110%, Vignette Shader, 2x PSP, Hardware Tran.., Software S, Vertex C, Spline High, Hardware Tess.., Upscale 2x, Upscale Type Bicubic (works best with Vignette Shader for clear texture), Deposterize, Anisotropic F 16x, Texture Nearest, Screen Scaling Nearest, Lower Resolution Safe. Max FPS on FF7 Crisis Core, I haven’t test God of War yet, but I know I will have to change some settings. Frame skip set to 1 and Auto on, helps with major frame drops when the game loads during FMV are showing.
I've transferred 9 games and it won't transfer anymore after that, they don't show up on the console and remain in my transfer list. How can I fix this?

Using the game manager to edit the games information would be the same as using that pc database editing application (i forget the name of the app) to edit game information.. it'll make the changes to the database?

Project Eris Update went well, but now I'm having a problem uploading new nes games to retroarch. They play but I can't get the boxart or screenshot to show up on the new games when scanning for files. All the old games boxart is still there tho.

I'm not sure I fully understand, but if you are asking can you have separate usb drives for different consoles, you can. But you may be best to just put everything on one drive.

Hello there, I found this video searching around, I've been wanting to get my classic/mini systems back up and running. I know this is an older video. If I originally setup my SNES Classic on a PC when thru first launched with a very early version of HackChi and now own a Mac, but the Mac has parallels which can run windows perfectly, will I be able to update hackchi on my snes classic and add and remove games from it and will there be anything special I need to do to get all of that working? I guess I should also ask, is there a version of hackchi for macos available now? Thanks!
Actually, you can change format of USB drive without having to move the files and reformat. just do this. At the Admin command line prompt, type convert drive: /fs:ntfs
so no menu pops up put it in and everything and it just shows normal ps1 bootup what did i do wrong??? i can run bleemsync when i had bleemsync perfect, i deleted it and made it stock again to load up project eris but nothing is happening.
Hey @Restalgia ! Do mods only work with the original controllers (like openbor did on bleemsync)? And can we sync more than one controller on a single Bluetooth dongle? Keep up the good work!
Most mods are compatible with multiple types of controllers. I have been using ps4 controllers. I can't speak about multiple controllers to a single dongle, but I'm leaning towards probably not. You will likely need a dongle for each.

The trouble I'm having most are the image files for added games. I have the bin and cue files, but they don't seem to translate. Should I be putting the cue files in a different folder?

Whenever I click on Network Settings, I get a "Error! Cannot detect Wireless Adapter." screen. How do I fix this? I followed all of the steps correctly, I believe.
The fresh install method didn’t work for me (maybe I’m just dumb lol) Since I only used Autobleem before, I chose that way of modding but as soon as I get the “Fat32 is no longer supported” thing and reformat the drive, the psc just loads up the stock kernel etc. It only installed normally when I modded the console with BleemSync 1.2 and migrated from it

I found that SD cards with a USB adapter uses less power and so far I haven't found one that doesn't work on port 2.

Adata sd adapters works very well
Ugreen usb adapter, Silicon Power (SP) or Samsung 256 sd are fairly inexpensive

I get to the Project Eris splashscreen, but then the light on the PSC flashes off to red a few times and then shuts off

Easy. Just dump the games into the transfer folder on the usb drive. PBP files are the best way to go imo for any single disk games

I went back and reformat the flash drive to exFAT and put the files back on the drive, all while leaving the PS Classic on. I stick the flash drive back in the second slot and nothing happens; the screen never changes and I have no idea what happens next. I power off and on the PS Classic and it goes straight to thew stock menu and no Project Eris, all while the flash drive is sitting in the second slot.
Any suggestions? Can I just skip using FAT32 and stick with exFAT or NTFS for the entire process?
You should be able to use the Windows convert command to convert the USB thumb drive from FAT32 to NTFS without losing the files.
Is that even a thing? In what version of Windows? I've never seen nor heard of it...
@@JohnnyProctor9 It's a native command line command in Windows NT 4.0 through Windows 10. The convert command will only work in one direction - FAT32 to NTFS.

Hey, back when I nodded my ps classic, I went above and beyond to make my bleemsync build look as official as possible. I put alot of work in, editing the databases to match the correct publisher and titles, all the way down to small thing like colons instead of hyphens. To manually tuning up each box art to look clean, to creating my background, adding alternative sound effect when scrolling through the ui, etc. Will all that transfer over? Can I keep those custom folders on my usb and implement them to this?

Also, if I update the payload and kernel, will I still be able to switch usb builds?
I would back up your original mod to be safe then give it a try and see what happens.
Make sure to back up your USB fully first as you can always fall back to it but in theory yes. It will take your BS regional db and relocate it to the PE folder. If you have done changes to the DB schema though I am not sure how well that will work as we haven't tested that
@@drybananahippyhat3851 I also had someone from reddit make me a script to remove the initial warning screen, as well as remove the auto screen dimmer feature. will installing the new payload or kernel affect that, reverse it?
@@edwin99901 no in theory. The script will likely not be migrated over to the PE folder so you will need to readd it but you shouldn't need to do so as PE already does all of those things for the most part.

Np, because natively the stock console can't ready any other format other then FAT32.
@@Restalgia I've tried to format in fat32 with four different USB drives but they only allow exfat. They're all large, above 100gb.

Why need to be a powered USB hub? Also what's the OTG for? (i thought OTG is for micro usb to usb A?) Sorry, I'm new to this. Im planning to get PSC soon.
@Restalgia Does the OTG adapter you have listed work to both power the PSC and allow OTG data transfer? I see the listing says it has a switch that goes between OTG and Charge, but the description says only *SOME* device will simultaneously charge and transfer data. Is this the set up that you used?

It's supported but you might need to add it yourself to es_systems I will chekc this out for a hotfix though.
@@drybananahippyhat3851 I got it to work, just added a folder labelled mame in the roms folder and it recognized it. Would you or anyone else know if it is possible to rotate the front end for a vertical build? I can get the games to rotate easily within retroarch but if I place my monitor vertically the menu will remain horizontal which is awkward.

Restalgia if I’m upgrading to Project Eris from the latest version of Bleemsync, can I delete the Bleemsync folder once I run the install like in your vid? If so, can I delete before install?
The hard drive I’m using is pretty packed with games only leaving enough room for memory card saves and save states. I’ve even deleted the game covers folder to save space once the games were installed.

if you are happy everything migrated to what you expect then yes.

OTG will work Out of the box. It automatically installs the custom kernel on first install
So I already have Autobleem. If I want to do this one, I can just build on a fresh new USB. When I flash the new project iris internal for the new USB and build, can I still plug in my old Autobleem usb and will it work just as always? My favorite setting for my PPSSPP on the PSC (base it on performance, stable, and clear texture ) : Buffered Rendering, Alt Speed 110%, Vignette Shader, 2x PSP, Hardware Tran.., Software S, Vertex C, Spline High, Hardware Tess.., Upscale 2x, Upscale Type Bicubic (works best with Vignette Shader for clear texture), Deposterize, Anisotropic F 16x, Texture Nearest, Screen Scaling Nearest, Lower Resolution Safe. Max FPS on FF7 Crisis Core, I haven’t test God of War yet, but I know I will have to change some settings.
Frame skip set to 1 and Auto on, helps with major frame drops when the game loads during FMV are showing.

I've transferred 9 games and it won't transfer anymore after that, they don't show up on the console and remain in my transfer list. How can I fix this?
OK, all I need to know is can you play the thing with no extra bits of hardware once the hack is done, such that other than having more games to choose to from you wouldn't even know it had been hacked.

Using the game manager to edit the games information would be the same as using that pc database editing application (i forget the name of the app) to edit game information.. it'll make the changes to the database?

Project Eris Update went well, but now I'm having a problem uploading new nes games to retroarch. They play but I can't get the boxart or screenshot to show up on the new games when scanning for files. All the old games boxart is still there tho.

I'm not sure I fully understand, but if you are asking can you have separate usb drives for different consoles, you can. But you may be best to just put everything on one drive.

Hello there, I found this video searching around, I've been wanting to get my classic/mini systems back up and running. I know this is an older video. If I originally setup my SNES Classic on a PC when thru first launched with a very early version of HackChi and now own a Mac, but the Mac has parallels which can run windows perfectly, will I be able to update hackchi on my snes classic and add and remove games from it and will there be anything special I need to do to get all of that working? I guess I should also ask, is there a version of hackchi for macos available now? Thanks!

Actually, you can change format of USB drive without having to move the files and reformat. just do this.
At the Admin command line prompt, type convert drive: /fs:ntfs

Hey @Restalgia ! Do mods only work with the original controllers (like openbor did on bleemsync)? And can we sync more than one controller on a single Bluetooth dongle? Keep up the good work!
Most mods are compatible with multiple types of controllers. I have been using ps4 controllers. I can't speak about multiple controllers to a single dongle, but I'm leaning towards probably not. You will likely need a dongle for each.

The trouble I'm having most are the image files for added games. I have the bin and cue files, but they don't seem to translate. Should I be putting the cue files in a different folder?

Since I only used Autobleem before, I chose that way of modding but as soon as I get the “Fat32 is no longer supported” thing and reformat the drive, the psc just loads up the stock kernel etc.
It only installed normally when I modded the console with BleemSync 1.2 and migrated from it
