Couldn't you remove the water change plumbing from the tanks and just do water changes in sump tank?

should have looked down here that is just what i typed i wonder why that wouldn't be a better idea

would there be a problem of putting your water change system in the sump its self and having it distribute the new water and you would only need to have one place to pull water out or have an over flow in one place it seems like a no brainier to me now but i'm prob missing something
or maybe you have just have the water change water come into the tanks and use the over flows to over flow the extra water into the sump and maybe use a sump pump with a float valve or over flow on the sump its self to keep the sump from over flowing during water changes

Why not just water change the sump since it is attached to all the 4 tanks? No stress of over flow...

I wish I could have hired you to help me design my fish room that I'm just now completing. All your years of experience with fish rooms sure would have been nice as I already see ways things that I would do differently but that's the way it goes. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge with us. I'm a better fish keeper because of all the help you have given me. Thank you very much for sharing and as always...Do what you do if it works for you.

Hi GREG! Great video once more. I appreciate greatly some of the additional tips and ideas in this video. Since I'm putting together a fish room right now, you've given me some great ideas, especially since I have the luxury to think it through before my stands are built.

Your videos are a wealth of knowledge! I am a relatively new fish breeder (angels are raising their second spawn) and your videos are incredibly helpful! Are you open to me reaching out to you with questions? I am trying to learn as much as I can, without too much fumbling.

Great set up, i have one tip I would put the easy detach below the ball valve on your return pump around 16.00 so you can do maintenance by just shutting it off and not having to drain down tanks. My dad always did this sort of thing on the lines in our house so he could fix things with minimal difficulty.

Very informative. I like your presentations.
I'd like to suggest that maybe instead of running your water change system to each individual tank, you could run it to the sumps instead. That way you could eliminate the overflows for the wc system and put the overflows for the sump in the back. I understand there may be reasons why this wouldn't be feasible for your particular needs/circumstances, but it may be something to consider.

Great video. It would certainly be a lot easier for you to do the water change from the sump without the need for all that pvc.

    Hello Greg.
I have a strong impression based on my experiance that floss doesnt grow bacteria as good as sponge or stone. have you ever noticed that?

I like this system set up, but as a retired plumber I think I would add a check valve in this system . Once I get my room going again I will e-mail you to let you know how my system is working & how many times I flood the floor.
