It felt like I was fighting Malzeno, Valstrax and Risen Shagaru magala rolled into one. BLOODY HELL !!!

I like how this version of Malzeno fights like a real knight, using his wing to either stab you (lance/rapier move) or do the classic shield bash, simple yet iconic. Everything about it screams "I'm a knight, come at me bruh"
A vampire knight, I might add. lol
@@ReccaWolf Primordial Malzeno more closely follows the origins of Dracula, or should I say, the historical Dracula, Vlad the Impaler.
Vlad Tepes, the inspiration behind Dracula, was a crusader warrior under the Order of the Dragon, a chivalric order dedicated to fighting the enemies of Christianity, mainly the Ottoman Empire.
Vlad Tepes' early life is actually somewhat tragic, as his father (a military ruler) and one of his brothers were killed by Ottomans after they failed to declare loyalty to them. This event seems to be what sparked Vlad's later behaviors and deeds- which is a long story in itself.
This fits with myths that say that Vlad Dracula (or Vlad Tepes himself) used to be a paladin before taking a deal with the Devil that allowed him to gain his fearsome powers.
He does look like a knight in the way that he fights, so cool. I like how he’s graceful kind of like Velkhana

Favorite fight in the game, bar none, absolutely phenomenal monster to fight, best experience, legit felt like a truly engaging back and forth that could always turn bad in just a stray hit.
as a lance main this fight felt like a duel between two knights, a joust even damn then the 2nd and 3rd phase hits and boom triple cart
I'm a SnS main, this absolute powerhouse was so fast I couldn't dodge its barrages, I ended up blocking more times in this fight alone that I haver had in my 13 years of monsterhunting, didn't help that much. There was a moment I wished I was using a lance or an GL, I guess it's not so different after all... I had to switch one of my goodest boys with a healer palico and put the other one into "sustain" mode; I also had to change my layered drip to a more knightly one to better fit the "knights duel" fantasy that I too felt. Got it second try, was still hard af.
Primordial Malzeno is officially my favorite fight, I love the story of him fighting against the Qurio alongside the hunter and wish that we could repel him more or have him as a temporary ally for some crazy fight but alas, I’m satisfied with the hunt. I like it more than Amastu’s solely for how cool his fight was and that final phase where he struggles against the Qurio is just peak to me.
I love how the longer he has the qurio the more he’s move set devolves into regular malzeno

First fight in the game that actually made me say screw it and go upgrade my armor, this thing hurts
You can guess that the knights of the old kingdom probably copied Primordial Malzeno for their fighting style.

Making a dragon fight like a knight with its wings is the coolest shit I've ever seen dawg, already loved regular Malzeno but this is just fucking fire
Capcom is endlessly creative making monsters I swear
This was a stressful fight but glad i beat it first try (died twice). I've been farming it and it's only killed me once after. I've been using gunlance and it's hard to find times to just reload without getting hit for it.
I rely on re direction and heaven sent to be able to reload at mid figth
Chadzeno is summed up beautifully with: *_but wait, there's more!_*
As a Lance main i actually teared up fighting this monster, mostly because it fought exactly like i did, i thrust, i guard dashed, he stabbed, and dashed with its wings forward. It felt like i was dueling another lancer and honestly its my favorite fight just because of that feeling.

As lance main this fight is more straight forward than other fight, i feels like this fight have no gimmick at all. I think this malzeno is easier to fight than valstrax, not because he is easy but the head pn battle is fun
Lance is the best matchup for this battle. It really feels like you're fighting a monster on equal footing now.
I just fought him and i have to say: *Brachydios isnt my favorite monster anymore*

I fought it the first time to the last feint with swaxe and died barely a minute into the fight as well. If it wasn't for a new playstyle I was getting the hang of with wire step, I don't think I would've gotten him either.
Similar story for me, I'm a swaxe main, first attempt I triple carted in under ten minutes, but learned a lot of his moves. Second attempt I switched up my playstyle, figured if I couldn't play cautious I would try being even more aggressive that him, one cart and a hell of a lot of close calls later, I beat him on my second attempt.
Was just using full Velkhana gear.
He is my favourite along with Rajang and other monsters of course with LS,dance with him,evade and counter,rolling is for wild hearts!And some spiritbirds will help!
U need to gather alots of spirtbirds before you fight him and his ultimate is very insane and very tough anyway
Dodging his moves was really difficult so i switched to lance with guard 5 and guard up 3 one can tank most of his hits. Just use your sheathing retreat move when see the unblockable 1 kit kill move.
Whelp got him on my first hunt got good amount of breaks plus his tail and I was rewarded with his bloodstone on the tail carve I swear malzenos love me XD

Once you beat this quest, redo it again. Spoiler It will start in Forlorn Arena with full HP That one is insane.
There's a slay quest that is still in the Citadel that replaces this story quest. The Forlorn Arena quest is the Hazard version that's meant to be harder than normal.
The hazard one murdered me for 3 hours straight before I got him
I have to go full defense build for that one, which is a risen shagaru anomaly level 🙃🙃

It took me 6 months to finally defeat this Primordial, and still, there was a luck that helped me
Hopefully you eventually learned that defense or defensive buffs are just as valuable as weakness exploit.
So far this Monster is a worthy opponent but after 4 quests with it its still predictable. Evade extender and constitution skill would come handy

Just spent 28 minutes in a fight for everyone to eat a cart at the end. The frustrations real.

that fail was completly on you your stamina needed to be restored and you made alot of botched plays with the counters

This fight is a peak example of gameplay not being on par with the rising difficulties of the enemies to fight fair and square. They really made a nioh like enemy in a game that has a much slower gameplay. Shit like this is always done to please the tryhards while we normal people suffer. Fatalis was a much fairer challenge compared to this shit.
Catering to the tryhards was one of the biggest mistakes in gaming

I feel even tho visually, it's an amazing fight, gameplay wise, it feels rather boring. It's not really a hunt, it's just it spamming moves and you hoping that RNG allows for you to get maybe three hits in. I'm kinda dissapointed in the fight, especially after seeing how amazing Scorned was.
yeah, do NOT take primodial for granted, his attack and range are nuts... lol - made me wish for val wing attacks so badly.... so comfortable, so safe... 😂
