I love my 2013 Elantra! I agree it's a great little car. Awesome gas milage and yes it definitely looks more expensive than it is. Personally I think the handling is very responsive and sharp. Which was the deciding factor between the Sonata and Elantra for me (the Sonata was a little...sluggish feeling?) Maybe it's just me. Great review btw! You really know your stuff.
Good because I'm getting a brand new 2016 model tomorrow and it will be blue. I'm so excited. My first car was handed down, it was a 2005 model. Very old, so I'm ready for my new car! I can't wait to get off of work tomorrow to go get it lol.
Funny he DOSENT own a Hyundai. . Most of these people that rate cars . Spend a short time with them. Sure the Elantra looks great at first but as time goes on it's just a crapy Hyundai. . The Media mart guy told Me he had owned and loved Subaru. .... just saying you really cant rate a car until you have spent time with it. Edmonds rated the Elantra lower than the FOCUS. CIVIC. And the Mazda 3. And complained about the same cheap interior. And poor MPGS. .I drove the new one while my 2012. Was in the shop AGAIN. . And it's the same car. The exact same cheap interior. With a horrible road noise. . The only difference is the motor. And it gets less Mpg than mine.. no offense to the Media Mart Man. But this car is a $ 16,000.00 car. That Hyundai marketed for more than its worth. Hyundai is still trying to copy Honda. So why not just buy a Honda. Honda has the reputation. And it has a higher resale value. . Hyundai has the 100,000 miles warranty. Power train only. The dealer told us we needed to buy a extended warranty for the electrical problems Hyundai has. . Another $2,500.00. Honda doesn't need to give a 100k warranty. Because it a great car. And save the $ 2,500.00 and buy a Honda. Or the new Nissan Senators Rocks. The Subaru has the best comfert. Handling and the highest RESALE VALUE. And the highest Safety Rating. And you get a Bluetooth and back up camera standard. And all wheel drive.
like I said you are entitled to your opinion I will agree my wife's 2008 Elantra is better than my 2012. but you haven't heard road noise until you drive the 2011 to the 2015. same crapy car. I have driven a 2012 , 2013, and a 2015, same freeking car. loud uncomfortable. and no one gets 39.5 MPG'S. that WAS PROVEN IN THE LAWSUITS/ LOOK IT UP. CANADA, KOREA AND THE USA ALL SUED HYUNDAI. THE MOST THEY GOT WAS 38 MPG'S AND THEY USED A HIGHER OCTAINE FULL THAN WE CAN GET. SO UNLESS YOU OWN A 2011 OR NEW YOU HAVE NOTHING TO SAY. HYUNDAI OIS THE SECOND WORST BUILT CAR, NEXT TO A MITSUBISHI. THERE CUSYOMER SERVICE IS CRAP, AS WELL AS THERE WARRNTY. IF YOUR FRONT END CAME LOOSE WITH YOUR FAMILY IN IT YOU WOULD BE PISSED TOO. HYUNDAI NEW ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND HASNT TOLD ANYONE. HYUNDAI SUCKS HAVE A GREAT DAY
Purchased a new 2013 Elantra GLS 4 door 6 months ago and love it. I drive 2000 miles per month and haven't had any problems with the car. And on a weekly basis I drive from LA to Bakersfield. Yes, this means driving through the "grapevine" which automatically places me in the severe driving category because of the 4000+ feet of elevation. Want to really test a car? Drive through the grapevine. I average 20mpg going through those high mountains but everywhere else I average at least 35mpg.
My 2016 Elantra is the SE value edition. It is Lakeside Blue and has tinted windows, sunroof, push button start, leather wrap stealing wheel. I like the car a lot good for the money.
Thanks, Dude it is really sweat and perfect for a everyday driver. Looks good, great mpg and great warrantees. I prefer buying from Morrie's Hyundai for sweat offers.
I never seen review Like this, and I really like it, this is fun to watch and interesting, this is my first time, I want all review must be like this mannn
I rented & drove this car yesterday. You are right about the steer & material quality of the interior/dashboard. Overall, it's a nice car, but it won't be my top choice.
Just bought this car. Very nice for what you pay for. My HTC One X works well with the bluetooth. I stream pandora through it and it works well(for the most part). I really love this car. I live in Colorado, so I don't use the eco button cause there are so many hills. But still great mileage.
It’s a wonderful little car. I really enjoyed my time with it. Make sure you have a certified mechanic look over any used vehicle you buy and go for it if you get the 👍🏽 thumbs up! Thanks for watching my video!
I got 41 mpg highway at 65-80 mph. That included severl miles of stop and go traffic and also a few stints through small towns. I noticed the steering was very quick and light at highway speeds, needing LOTS of tiny corrections to maintain straight ahead. That was my biggest gripe.
Uhhm - actually I think that's MORE then enough headroom, my opinion: You felt a bit claustrophobic because of the sloping roof, window's and now that I touched on it - whats rear visibility like?
Hello Tony. This is one of the most honest and the best reviews I have seen. I am torn between Hyundai Elentra (2014) - Toyota Corolla (2014) and Honda Accord 2012 (50000 km). They are about the same price in Dubai. Can you please tell me which one would you suggest i should buy? If you respond soon to this I might save some money because Hyundai has the Elentra at a discount and if i go for that one I would save $1000 on it. Regards, Talha
i just bought a 2013 elantra gls with prefered package..i notice that when i refuel my mpgs reset to zero and then go up and down easily but then goes back to average mpgs wich is 30 mps right now is anyone else having this issue with reseting of mgs?
I just bought a 2014 Elantra Limited two weeks ago. I'm only getting 23-24 mpg in the city. Granted, it's been a hot summer and I've had the A/C on the whole time, but I've been driving quite conservatively and I was hoping to achieve at least the 28 mpg advertised city mileage. Nah-uh. Hasn't happened. :( Let's hope I get better mileage once the weather cools down a bit.
theMediaMart Oh! Without a doubt, I have a heavy foot...normally. But I've been babying the throttle...trying my best to get better mileage and the BEST I've gotten...and this is mostly highway...was 30.1 mpg. I'm thinking they got their great numbers going downhill with a tail wind. ;)
dLimboStick we absolutely love our car i really dont know what you are going on about , its fun to drive takes corners at high speeds with ease and its great value for money we got about 37 mpg on 1 tank even when gunning the car at top speeds.Maby u should let the motor run itself in first . at the best of times i got 48 mpg.
jeandre els Wow! I wish I could get that mpg. I must say. I love the car too! It's just not getting the mileage advertised. I've had the car two months now. I've taken it on one long distance road trip. On that trip, I got 37 mpg. My normal workday driving, which consists of combined city and highway driving, on average I'm getting 25 mpg, not the advertised 31 mpg of mixed driving, and not even the advertised 27 mpg of pure city driving. When I mentioned this to the sale person, he said I need to let the motor wear in. It's been two months. I don't think it's going to wear in any more than it already has.
Bought a 2013 Elantra Limited with tech package 7/2013. So far disappointed in gas mileage 20 mpg in town - but still only has 850 miles on it. My wife's car - she doesn't drive it much. Hope mpg improves. other complaints: No spare tire. all trim is plastic (no chrome), speedometer hard to tell accurate speed, goes from 0-160 with 10 mph increments too close together to know if you are going 42 or 48. Should be 0-120 mph in 5 mph increments with more spacing. But, overall, we do love the car.
I think they will both last a while if you take car of them. I believe that the Genesis has the longer warranty - but I'd probably lean towards the Edge. I love the overall feel, technology and flexibility of it. Let me know what you decide to do.
Thank you fit this review! Mine is that color and it's a coupe. It has the blue tooth and heated seats . I love my Elantra yes the only thing I can complain about is the engine weakness on small hills. The rest of the car is perfect and amazing! Thank You Tony, and please try the coupe! :-)
Man, thats an awesome ride. Too bad, you couldin't keep that vehicle, for yourself for many more joy rides. Also, I think this review was the best one yet, Tony good job keep them up my friend. From your friend, Austin Bullock
I rented an Elantra when my car was in the shop for a few days. Really liked it!! They also gave me a Dodge Avenger. I DID NOT like the Avenger. Wanted the Elantra back.
hi everyone, i want your opinion, Im deciding between a jetta se 2012 and a elantra 2012, ive drive both i liked them, but i dont know if they last, even if i take good care and mantenance. some people told me that they are having problems with their jettas. And i heard that hyundai is a bad brand, but i dont know, help me decide.
+Alberto Peraza Get the Nissan Altima 2.5 S coupe. The car looks great!. I own one and people are always staring at it. If you take care of it, it will last you forever!
Very good review , Hyundai has come a long way and they are amazing for the money. I'm just puzzled as to which one you had , it looks like the GLS but it doesn't have the front fog lights. In Canada here it does have the fog lights. It's not the GL .
I average 33mpg and it is much better than my previous car, the Audi A4. I average on my highway trips at about 38mpg. It is a great car, and I will definitely buy a Hyundai again. 2013 Limited.
if you drive normally you can get up to 29 mpg in the city, i have gotten 30 mpg in the city and up to 43 on the highway. if you are looking for fuel economy buy a hybrid or a plug in, an elantra is only efficient.
Watched a lot of reviews of new cars and none of them actually mentioned the reliability of the vehicle, all cars are great when its brand new, the real test starts when the warranty is expired
I am planning to by an elantra in april. Im scared to make a bad choice. What i am skared about it is gonna handle and feel in 2 years..... I find hunday making good cars but when i sit in a two or tree years old hyundai, i feel it's getting old... i see the plastics loosing their look.... i don't know... i have to say among every car i tryed it's the most confortable ride but i just want it to feel that way for a while....
Before anyone buys this vehicle inspect your bumpers to make sure they match the rest of the car. If you can live with mismatched paint then then the 2013 Elantra is for you.
Before you decide to purchase the 2013 Elantra make sure the paint on the bumpers matches the rest of the car. If mismatched paint does not bother you then this is the car for you.
Nice video review! I have one of these for a rental currently, have put 200 miles on it. It looks decent, and is probably great for 90% of the world. Good seats, good electronics package, good interior, some nice usability features. But sides and rear deck are way too tall, engine is uninspired, trans is indecisive and slow to shift, steering is the definition of numb, suspension is far too soft, and its dead quiet inside (Like to hear the engine at least a bit) Can't wait to get my car back.
The wandering or pulling to one side is due to the EPS(Electric Power Assist) Ths car has Electric Power Assist steering, and it has problems. It causes the car to wander or pull to one side, very noticeable on the highway. it very frustrating and cumbersome to have to keep correcting steering when just trying to go in a straight line down the road. Hyundai knows about this problems, and the NHTSA has an investigation launched. I've had mine back to the dealer twice at only 1700 miles. They tell me the alignment is on spec, wheel balance good. But I pick it up, and it still does the same thing. You are going to have to go over service's head, because they are going to tell you it's fine.
My 2013 is a giant POS. I've had to replace both front hubs/bearings, struts and strut mounts. I agree, it does show to be a more expensive car than it really is, until you drive it for a few miles. Now I have to figure out why every time I hit a bump on a turn the ass kicks out. This seems to be a standard complaint. I would not suggest this car at all.
Thank you for laugh during this review!
I just bought this car and I love it so much. I agree with dude all the way. Great review!
Thanks - enjoy the ride!
I love Hyundai cars most especially Elantras they’re incredibly great. I use the Elantra and I have never had any issues with it for once.
Agreed. Thanks for watching 👋🏽
I love my 2013 Elantra! I agree it's a great little car. Awesome gas milage and yes it definitely looks more expensive than it is.

+Jessica Lynn I have the 2016 in a black and I love it! :)
right on!
you're a natural at reviewing cars. I'm thinking about buying one for running around town. no down payment, 0% financing for 96 months right now.
I love your reviews. You are not only informative but entertaining as well. The Elantra is a great car with plenty of bang for your buck.
Thank you! Yes - the Elantra is a cool little ride.
Hyundai is making great strides in reliability. They're solid!

Thank you!
Good review man, my dad just got a used one of these - it’s not bad
Your Dad is the man👍🏽
my family owns this beautiful car and the colour of our car is red.. so beautiful
I rented & drove this car yesterday. You are right about the steer & material quality of the interior/dashboard. Overall, it's a nice car, but it won't be my top choice.
are they sold in the US?
EON? is that sold in the US?
Yes - you have to buy a subscription to keep the service after the initial trail period - but it's well worth it!
did you buy the car?
people that are shopping for the 2013 model - want to know about that one. There are subtle changes from year to year.
Thanks for your review, it was very useful information. It helped me recently with my Elantra purchase. Cheers!
Russel Wilson in the future right there
😂😂

Nice. Enjoy!
Looking at buying this and using it for an occasional trip to beach (2 hour drive). Would it be good?
It’s a wonderful little car. I really enjoyed my time with it. Make sure you have a certified mechanic look over any used vehicle you buy and go for it if you get the 👍🏽 thumbs up!
Thanks for watching my video!
theMediaMart thanks!
nice quick review. I would have to agree with most of your points - what car do you drive?
I got 41 mpg highway at 65-80 mph. That included severl miles of stop and go traffic and also a few stints through small towns. I noticed the steering was very quick and light at highway speeds, needing LOTS of tiny corrections to maintain straight ahead. That was my biggest gripe.
Good review, and well delivered! You have another subscriber.
Thank you!!!
like sunday or monday?
I am test driving one of those in a few days, I am excited
Cool. Did you get one?
no worries my friend - the vw polo - don't think that's sold here in the US
Uhhm - actually I think that's MORE then enough headroom, my opinion: You felt a bit claustrophobic because of the sloping roof, window's and now that I touched on it - whats rear visibility like?

I would give this video a thumb up! Good review! Gonna set goal buy this car this year!
the car has been pretty reliable. the parts are available here in the states. are you in the US?
I am thinking of buying one, should I? I drove a rental last week and loved it special the gas .

Wait till you break it in 10000 miles mine gets 28 around town
when are you buying the 87?
Tony, I question these car's GDI technology and how it's gonna hold up in the long run.
enough to get the job done - I like the Elantra - what do you like?
You look like Jeff goldblum from Independence Day
Ha ha
Bought a 2013 Elantra Limited with tech package 7/2013. So far disappointed in gas mileage 20 mpg in town - but still only has 850 miles on it. My wife's car - she doesn't drive it much. Honestly, if they made a car that is aesthetically pleasant, it's already fuel and cost efficient, I would buy Hyundai any day.
I have to decide between a 2013 Kia Forte and a 2013 Hyundai Elantra help
Essentially the same car - I'd lean towards the Elantra for it's sweet exterior design
Miley Cyrus Edition I have a 2013 Elantra and I love it man
👍🏽
Kia Forte is stronger but Hyundai Elantra much better in look
Agreed.
What would be your personal recommendation for a 2012-2013 Japanese/Korean compact? Thanks.
I'm very interested to buy it....But alot of my friends say its too light on the highways other then that its perfect
Is that True??
I think they will both last a while if you take car of them. I believe that the Genesis has the longer warranty - but I'd probably lean towards the Edge. I love the overall feel, technology and flexibility of it. Let me know what you decide to do.
I love your reviews. Your energy and physical humor are great aspects of every review. I also like your "nature breaks". LOL
Thank you fit this review! Mine is that color and it's a coupe. It has the blue tooth and heated
seats . I love my Elantra yes the only thing I can complain about is the engine weakness on small hills. The rest of the car
is perfect and amazing!
I have to decide between a Ford Focus 2012 and a Hyundai Elantra 2013 please help!
I’d go with the Elantra. Better reliability scores and it may even still have life on the original warranty.
Good luck!
go for elantra
I've never seen one rusted out - but I will take your word for it my friend.
Great laughs and review. Appreciate it!
Thanks!
All three are great choices - my favorite would probably be the Cruze - but the Altima has the most room throughout the cabin.
which option is the car on? like full/mid/low option? and nice review mate (i am going to buy this car in a week)
hi everyone, i want your opinion, Im deciding between a jetta se 2012 and a elantra 2012, ive drive both i liked them, but i dont know if they last, even if i take good care and mantenance. some people told me that they are having problems with their jettas. And i heard that hyundai is a bad brand, but i dont know, help me decide.
Don't buy either! If you want a car that is reliable and will start everyday and will last, the Toyota Corolla is what you are looking for👍🏽
+Alberto Peraza Get the Nissan Altima 2.5 S coupe. The car looks great!. I own one and people are always staring at it. If you take care of it, it will last you forever!
great review!! as always
I agree! amazing deal! Congrats and enjoy!
I really enjoyed your goofiness, unique and made it interesting
You had your Wheaties before this review, Tony. Good job, as usual.
that's a dar cool sweater that you have! got mine from my kids last Christmas :)
hey u now have done 2 review for elantra 2011 and 2013 , tell me y
the car is everywhere here, must be good vehicle
Very good review , Hyundai has come a long way and they are amazing for the money. I'm just puzzled as to which one you had , it looks like the GLS but it doesn't have the front fog lights. In Canada here it does have the fog lights. It's not the GL .
I average 33mpg and it is much better than my previous car, the Audi A4. I average on my highway trips at about 38mpg. It is a great car, and I will definitely buy a Hyundai again. 2013 Limited.
Good review..keep it up
+Bismark Nshira thank you! Keep pushing play!
i will try to do the media time stuff again
I didn't notice that. you can't have everything :) Thanks for watching my vid! Tony
if you drive normally you can get up to 29 mpg in the city, i have gotten 30 mpg in the city and up to 43 on the highway. if you are looking for fuel economy buy a hybrid or a plug in, an elantra is only efficient.
Watched a lot of reviews of new cars and none of them actually mentioned the reliability of the vehicle, all cars are great when its brand new, the real test starts when the warranty is expired

May I ask how you got such good deal? I am planing on buying this
sorry to hear that you are not happy with the car my friend.
really enjoyed info video but why didn't you show the interior of trunk (wanted to see it).
I like your style. Good job! And the car is great...
Before anyone buys this vehicle inspect your bumpers to make sure they match the rest of the car. If you can live with mismatched paint then then the 2013 Elantra is for you.
I jst get mine a 2013 GLS 1.6 last 2 months, I loved it too! Too bad it come without an automatic side mirror and power door lock
Enjoy it! Great little ride!
Thanks Kelly :) keep pushing play!
I am thinking about getting this car for my sweet 16
Before you decide to purchase the 2013 Elantra make sure the paint on the bumpers matches the rest of the car. If mismatched paint does not bother you then this is the car for you.
The Coupe looks sweet! cool car!
Nice video review!
I have one of these for a rental currently, have put 200 miles on it. It looks decent, and is probably great for 90% of the world. thanks for your input!
You are going to have to go over service's head, because they are going to tell you it's fine.
thanks! yes - great value - let me know if you get one!
qual é o consumo do carro amigo?
Indeed! thanks my friend!
Hey keep it and please do weekly updates again
Congrats!! great little car!
+Capt. Cutler thanks for watching my video - I'm sorry to hear about the issues that you've had.
theMediaMart Unless you're the worthless sack that engineered this garbage, no need to apologize! ;) Thanks though.
