- For our last upload of 2022, we feature Dr. Smith giving Hip-Hop beatmaker Tac Robinson his first taste of Puddles the Clown and his act "Puddles Pity Party". In this first time experience, Tac is exposed to Puddles performing the Ballad of Gilligan's Isle theme, mashed-up with Stairway to Heaven (by Led Zeppelin). This arrangement was originally created by Little Roger and The Goosebumps in 1978. Jimmy Page and Robert Plant wrote (released) Stairway to Heaven in 1971, and The Ballad of Gilligan's Isle was written by Sherwood Schwartz and George Wyle. (Sherwood Schwartz was also the creator and producer of the TV shows, Gilligan's Island as well as the Brady Bunch.)
This video critique is provided for your viewing pleasure, the education of our viewers and studio members, and the general exposure of varying styles and genres of music and performance. All this and more, featuring kinetic typography, silly animations, After Effects mayhem, and general "unexpectedness" sprinkled from the first to last frame.

I love Puddles❤He is always on tour & I have seen him 9 times.
I have not gotten the chance to see him perform live yet, but I am going to make sure I do get a chance to. Truly a great performer! -Doc
Listen to Puddles sometime - he has an Excellent voice - does a lot of covers - and does some songs a well - or uniquely - as the original. Some don't get the clown thing but clown shoes or not he has a great voice.

He chooses a wide mix of songs to cover and manages to give each one some of his own flavor. The clown aspect I feel really adds to the whole appeal because it gives him a method of "stepping into" a character and fully immersing himself in the performance aspect. I feel his showmanship is just as much a part of his appeal as his voice is. -Doc

You sir, have a great ear!!! While I normally play/create all of the music and compositions used in our intros/videos, this time I wanted to pay homage to an old favorite. The intro music in this is based on the "Frenzy" background music stripped of all the accents, bells, and whistles (and without Rudy's voice). So, get yourself a🌭... you win the internet today!
