when I heard this live last december... everyone in the crowd was shedding tears. This song holds so much meaning.

This was the first song I heard from them. I prefer the studio version though.
The song is actually about the ghost of a loved one still haunting you.

Not a romantic partner, she wrote this song after her dad died. I believe he was suffering from dementia near the end, and he would get scared and confused about where he was and what year it was and who she was. That's what gutted me visiting my grandmother at the end; when I would realize she didn't recognize me. Of everything, I miss hearing my grandma's voice. Hearing her tell her stories from her life. Talk about my grandpa and how he had been the love of her life, and after he died, she never tried to date or remarry because she knew that he had been her great love. I miss hearing her laugh. I hear this song, and all of that comes rushing back.

Amy's little sister had died at a very young age. 😢
@@RedRoseSeptember22 her brother died in 2018 at age 24 after struggling with severe epilepsy for most of his life. She wrote "Far from heaven" due to her loss.

Thanks for the videos. I'm amazed you haven't heard this song before. I agree with the other comments, this recording was horrible. I hope you'll listen to the studio version at some point on your own time like you did with System of a Down. I understand you don't typically use the studio versions for your reactions due to copyright issues, but unfortunately this version doesn't do her justice.

This is the worst version of this song ever... The band was out of tune... as she said "Wow" at about 6:08 minutes... Mr. Boyd your comments were kind but you didn't get to her this song at it's best.

Do not like recorded live performances. Way way too many interferences distorting voices and instrumentation.

As far as versions go this seems toned down. There are others that crowd is much more in it.
GREAT song...not even remotely as good as the studio version...as is most always with live performances.
I would rather a reactor chop up the crap out of a video that has the most perfect interpretation of a band's song, rather than hear them listen to a live performance that can't even compare...just because it's "live".
Couldn't disagree more about live performances in general, with most bands I'd take a good live recording over a studio version any day, but yeah this one was awful. Amy and the orchestra were playing in a higher key, but for whatever reason the band came in in the original. Up until then, though, I thought it was great.
WOW... this version almost makes me cringe. Doesn't do the song justice in any way, shape, or form.
Please re listen to this song. But not this particular video.
