Sounds pretty decent for the price. I do prefer the xm8500, and still use mine from time to time even though I have far too many mics (like that's possible).
An unfortunate step-down little cousin to the sE V2 Switch. To quote the Grinch, "oh, the noise; oh, the noise, noise, noise, noise!"
While this mic cost less than the SeV2 I'm still disappointed with the handling noise the Xm8500 didn't have that much and i bought that one for 19 dollars before they kept the price at 25 dollars
Recording guitars with it directly from the speaker of the amp combo (or cabinet) with this mic makes very clear and powerful recorded sounds. Mic must stand still of course but it's very good! In Hungary it's just 14$ ....
Awwwwwesome
Ennh. Hard pass at the price. $10 at a pawn shop? Sure.
Sucks... But it's true
I used to have one of these. They are overall decent in sound just leave it in a stand or something. For the price it does the job but dont expect Austrian Audio or even Samson quality.
excatly.
Yeah thats definitely a mounting mic lol. Sound was pretty good cept the plosives. But yeah… prolly not worth it.
Hate that too.. It's a looker for a handheld
@@ObscureMics yeah… look but dont touch!!! Lol
Not a bad sounding mic just handling noise lets it down. Keep it still people.
The sound is quite okay... I am not heavily impressed, but I must admit I expected worse. Thanks also for checking this one, as it is quite well priced here too and I thought of purchasing that one a bit ago - I don't think I have a reason now, as it's not rare or anything, and basically it would not do a favor to my nasal voice hearing it on you. Need to remove the listing from my wishlist lol.
That's a win in the cart clearing catagory
😂
YAHD - Yet Another Handheld Dynamic
You are onto something....
A handheld mic that fails at the handling test is a hard pass in my book. The XM8500 does it before for less! Right there with you Bark!
Should be pro number 1, not con number 1
@@ObscureMics indeed! That's the axiom of handhelds!
Not gonna lie, kinda diggin the look of your set-up with the desk and studio for your background. 😎👊🏻👍🏻
Me too. I have some tough decisions to make when I love.... As I had a plan but this look is making me think
@@ObscureMics kinda has that obscure mics with a subtle “yo MTV cribs” feel behind the scenes look. I have been trying to get a similar look down for my setup but can’t quite pull it off yet with my lighting, my room is just too small.
Yo my cribs! Yesssss. It's like the redman episode
Gotta agree, like the new studio look. 👍
@@theglobalzrecordingproject that's the old studio look!
Please help obscure mics
I want the best budget microphone
I have fifine k 685 and I don't like it
It's big and ugly
Better be small and good looking and sound good
Please 🙏
It's not that easy. There is no "best"......there is what works for you. I don't mind helping....but you need to tell me what you want to spend...what kind of mic you want and what type of sound you prefer
@ObscureMics I am streaming on twitch and others
SO i am gamer
100 $ maybe 😅
@@BOOGEEYMAN needs to be a USB mic?
@ObscureMics anything if it's xlr please recommend a mixer with it
Or only usb microphone
And thank you for your time
I am very grateful to you
Love the Yamaha AG series! I'm currently using AG03 and I love all the physical controls, lots of I/O, and built in DSP! I would've preferred the AG06 but I opted for the lower price. what made you switch to AG06?
I have always preferred mixers over simple interfaces, and had my eyes on the 1st gen ag06....when the mkii came out, I somehow missed that they added mute switches....that sold me, as I like to do mic comparisons in the form of youtube shorts, and the mute buttons make it a lot easier to accomplish than using two tracks of audio when editing. I am super happy with it so far
doesnt sound bad. handling is pretty bad
So close...
