Nice & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。And I appreciate your efforts to re-upload this video. We are moved by this song because we are human beings. Not necessary to read the lyrics. I am a Japanese but my nationality and literacy do not have distinct advantages to feel the emotion stirred by Su-Metal and Kamis. We are not just listening to a song but embracing celestial healings. Now in 2021, Su sang this song in the two last shows of 10 BABYMETAL Budokan this year (April 14 & 15) with more matured voice. I am sure many fans saw it in the online program. As an eyewitness of both shows at the venue, I can tell you that it was literally heartbreaking and made me forget to breathe.

Hey Bobby, is all good, we know the copyright issues and stuff.
Another heartbreaking song full of emotions, for sure.
One of the most gorgeous ballad from SuMetal solos and BM in general, performed at Legend S Baptism XX at 20th SuMetal birthday it was a special concert for many factors and many fans always get sad about it, me too of course, is a bittersweat live concert and one in a lifetime too.
Hiroshima is her hometown and she is granddaughter of Hiroshima bomb survivor, this must be really special for her and everyone who loves our queen.
She sang early this year at 10 Babymetal Budokan with our queen "playing" the piano, it really surprised the audience and it was just delightful, i saw it during World Premiere livestream and it's gonna be released on DVD/BD at 29/09 worldwide.
She supposed to sing this song during first album but she felt not ready to sing it with all the emotions needed, that's why is included during 2nd album later on.
There's a live version at Legend 1999 (Yui and MoaMetal birthday) in which the girls walkdown the stairs and "plays" the piano while SuMetal sings, it was an special and one time only performance too.
SuMetal said that this guitars solos is one of her favorite parts, quote: _“I feel that the guitars in this song sound as if they’re really singing the melody, and I just really enjoy it."_
Interesting debate about backtracking and lipsyncing, we all know SuMetal can sing and she does during live concerts, but sometimes here and there, technical issues or bad health happens and tech is there to helping them out on those cases, is not like they do that always, besides just artistic reasons and a more enjoyable and armonizing show to give all the audience.
One last thing, BM released a "cryptic" message resting until 10/10, i think this is a way to calm down fans asking to watch the girls while they keep mysterious till that day about what's gonna happen, with the Olympic games and Sakura Gakuin ending it must be a difficult time for the girls probably, who knows, maybe next songs are gonna be on production but like always OTFGK 🦊🤘
We all know KobaMetal loves pro-wrestling theatrical stuff, and in the same tone he released this message to get us all hyped untill 10/10 when a new BM anniversay arrives.

They do post production for the DVDs of course they want to have the best product possible to sell, and they also as you said have backing tracks with harmonies to add that layering which as you said is perfectly normal now days, it is also done with the other instruments too, it gives a much richer sound. Don't worry about using the compilation video, we have all seen the original plenty of times we just want you to see it so you can appreciate how good they are

Most of the Fans are well aware that Babymetal uses backing tracks and in-ear click tracks to ensure that everything is sync'd well during their live performances. It adds to the overall cohesiveness of their stage performance. A Babymetal concert is not just some dudes standing up there in front of mic stands swaying back and forth, its a full Stage Production and tracks just make sense.

Hi Bobby and thanks for all the effort to get this reaction up. You like to torture yourself, do you? Akatsuki unfinished followed by NRNR, dang! This is also a very emotional song and especially in the Legend S performance you can see Su’s eyes getting filled with tears. As was already said, Legend S was especially important and emotional to Su, not only because it was Su’s 20 birthday but also because it was at her hometown Hiroshima. A beautiful song without a doubt! Su will be 24 in December and her voice is now more mature but you are correct, they (like many other bands) use backtracks to make the sound better by adding additional instruments, harmonies etc.

Great reaction again! That look in Su‘s eyes at the beginning of the final verse is tough stuff, I never get past that without sobbing like a baby.
They do use pre-recorded tracks for harmonies a lot, we know and accept that. I think Tank made it sound like the main vocals were „tracked“, and to be honest, I still don’t quite understand what he meant. Many fans (myself included) are a bit sensitive when it comes to that.

Babymetal uses some backing track but they only use it as an accessories to their live performance , it's like 80% raw and 20% backing track. for our Queen Su-Metal , she is 100% singing live minus 10% backing track for few parts of any song she sing.
And that was my point. I was hoping no one would accuse me of saying Su-Metal was lip syncing because it's obvious she's not.
To play with a backtrack the way they do they have to all be in prefect time with each other and the track. Every backtracked growl, keyboard and harmony have to be done with zero deviation. What it really shows is how professional they are by having that level of precision.

Hello Bobby. There is no need to apologize for your emotions after listening to Babymetal, after all your video is a REACTION video! Su-Metal's voice has the uncanny ability to 'tug' at one's emotions despite there is a language barrier (most of us westerners do not speak Japanese). For your next reaction video, I recommend "SHINE" from the Legend M concert (Moa's 20th birthday), where Su and Moa pay tribute to their fallen Kami Guitarist Mikio who past away from an accident. The "Shine" performance has a lone guitar on stage (representing Mikio) and Su's voice and Moa's expressive dancing was unforgettable.
@wilson wong: In the Legend M version of Shine, the guitar on-stage is Mikio's (on loan). Moa doesn't play it live, but did play on the backing track. If you watch carefully, you can see at times Su and Moa dance in a "missing person" formation. They space themselves out in the triangle, with Yui's spot open. Su said in an interview, when they left the stage, she and Moa were not actually holding hands, but she realized the strength of their heart-to-heart connection (inferring Yui as well.)
excellent content Bobby-Metal, rather than have more musicians on stage for smaller concerts Babymetal has a click track filled with ambient sounds and other instruments and harmonies, it is funny that just their click track is better than half the bands in the world lol.

I don't usually recommend what I am about to recommend so early in someones Babymetal journey but I think you should react to the Trilogy of Lights. Or you could react to the unofficial Babymetal guide and then the Trilogy of lights.
Trilogy of lights is obviously made up of 3 songs, Starlight (A song of loss), Shine (A song of coming to terms with loss) and Arkadia (A song of optimistic hope for the future).
Something to note regarding Starlight, it was performed after Yui Metals departure from the group and Mikios passing, Mikios was an avid stargazer who died stargazing . There has been no official confirmation I know of if this song is truly a tribute to Mikio but I like to think it is.
Then there is the Unofficial Guide to Babymetal which basically gives you all the info you could possibly want on Babymetal and some recommend watching that first before the Trilogy.
Anyways whatever you end up reacting to, I can't wait to watch it!

You are a glutton for punishment man. Akatsuki unfinished and then NRNR. However you had to do, it I'm glad you got the video up. It's quite nice to see the performance of Akatsuki when she was 16 and here where she was 20. She had it then, and has it even more now. It was called Legend S for Su-metal because it was her 20th birthday concert. On Moa's 20th birthday they named the concert Legend M.
Using the video from the official channel has always been tough to get posted. That text that is burned onto the video is pretty easy for the algorithm to detect I suspect.
And probably doesn't help that he never paused the video 😁

They must have put the harmonizing voices in the postproduction, there is a point in the song where Suzuka is about to cry and the voice nearly cracks.
Suzuka is from Hiroshima, and in the intro for the song in some other concerts it is implied that they are speaking about the victims in the bombing. So for Su, that it seems lost a grandmother or a grandfather and grew knowing people who had lost family members, this was pretty emotional, specially in Hiroshima Green Arena, that's a few meters away from the ground zero.
As a classic metal fan I think you should check *Amore,* that in spite of the name, it is not a song about romantic love, but about Su uniting people around the globe spreading love with her metal voice.

I think it's fairly well established by now that Babymetal make extensive use of backing tracks in their live shows, and I do not think it's considered particularly controversial. Su sings live, and the Kami band is of course always plugged in, but there are certainly some things that are pre-recorded, such as synthesisers, strings, piano, harmonies, rough vocals, screams et.c. It's only taken too far on a few occasions, like when they have Moa and Yui "playing" guitar or piano on stage.
It is also clear that the DVD releases have a lot of post processing done to the audio. Both instruments and vocals are cleaned up, removing most of the small mistakes that are made live. Personally, I think they go a bit too far in this regard. Su is a really great singer, but she is not quite as perfect as she comes across in some of those DVDs.
I do remember someone saying that Hideki's drums were clearly quantized in post, but I do not think that has ever been verified. As far as I can tell from seeing them live and listening to fan recordings, he really does sound that tight and consistent, even at full speed. But then again, I wouldn't put it past Amuse to run it through the quantizer just because they can.
Now that you have heard three out of the four Su solos ("Rondo of Nightmare", "Akatsuki", "No Rain No Rainbow"), I guess you might as well do the last one, which is called "Amore". And at some point you will need to return to "Akatsuki" for the normal version, which is a very different beast from the "unfinished" one you listened to recently.
Breathtaking is pretty much the right word. Edit to say I break down everytime I hear this song and ESPECIALLY when I watch the Hiroshima one...

Nice reaction. Su once said she doesn't want to cry on stage. During the legend S performance you can see her fighting back those tears at times. Su performance is majestic hear. Just one more comment on Harmonies. Todays effect boards can add live harmonies with chorus effects and other such things. No real need for a back track anymore. Babymetal do use click tracks to keep them in time. The in ear monitor can also have vocal cues and tones to help keep them tune. There are actually some in ear track stuff on youtube of Babymetal songs. It's weird to hear but gives you a good idea of whats going on for them. So you listen to the slow stuff from Babymetal. Now you should try Yui and Moa stuff AKA Black Babymetal. From sad to crowd hype madness.
You are putting yourself through the ringer with your last two songs. If you want something that will definitely lift your spirits try Mini Pati... Yui and Moa and a young lady called Hannah singing about hamburgers.... it’s fantastic. Your reactions and channel is getting better and better. I have said before I love your heartfelt reactions to this young lady and this amazing band.
Btw, there are harmonizers which can harmonize your voice in real-time according to a midi-track which tells harmonizer how exactly it should be done in a particular moment (minor third, major third, fifth, etc).
I don’t know if Su uses these, but they do exist.
I've heard of that. I'm not sure I've ever heard one being used. Maybe I heard it on this video. I wonder how well they work.
@@JustAnotherReactor they work fairly well, we use them during our live gigs. But as for Babymetal, I simply don’t know. I fancy the idea that Su uses harmonizers because it feels more “live”. But I guess with the consistency of Su’s vocals in terms of timing and pitch, backtrack would work much better in terms of quality and they most likely use them.

Yeah babymetal use click tracks and backing tracks. Unfortunately some fans are way too sensitive and too quick to take offense, so misconstrue people pointing this out as a criticism. Great reaction!
I guess some people don't realize the difference between having backing tracks to enhance the music and vocals that are being performed live, and just flat out lip syncing or faking playing an instrument to a recorded track of that instrument. Even my favorite band Nightwish plays to tracks.
I think you are confusing the type of Legend show: they made multiple show called Legend...
Legend I, Legend D, Legend Z were the first Headlining shows from late 2012 and early 2013, the first shows with the Kami Band performing the encores.
Legend 1999 was in 2013 for Moa and Yui's 14th birthday
Legend 1997 was in 2013 for Su's 16th birthday
Legend S was in 2017 for Su's 20th birthday
Legend M was in 2019 for Moa's 20th birthday
Since Yui left in 2017, we never had a Legend Y

Bobby-metal, I have a tip: the larger you make the copyrighted content or the higher quality the bigger the chance it will get blocked. So if you make the video with yourself in it bigger and the artist's video smaller with a background you will probably have less issues.
Something else I wanted to add, today is/was the 76th year after the bomb on Hiroshima, the city Suzuka/Su-metal came from. She ones asked (not at a Babymetal concert) for the audience to watch the ceremony in Hiroshima each year which is not just about remembering what happened, but also to pray to peace (or for starters stop with nuclear weapons) and think how we can work towards it. So some of us watch it online. It's a worthy cause obviously.

In some videos on UA-cam She's using track on the song because are compilation (who upload the video put the song on the video) or using that's to avoid the ban by amuse. but if u see concert videos are completly with out lipsync (moa voice sound great on thats concert), i have a couple of concert if u wish i can send u links by email

You should have waited 24 hours to release this so it coincided with the Hiroshima peace ceremony. Legend S was performed in Su's hometown of Hiroshima.

Watch GNR November Rain with No Rain No Rainbow audio
The robots that scan will look for video and audio matches. The Watermark will screw with the Video checks. Pausing will screw with the Audio check. Just put the most transparent Watermark you possibly can on the video, there are some good ones on Goggle images for BabyMetal logos. To be a good reactor, just follow the rules, go look up stuff on goggle about all the rules from other reactors the rules change and are never clear. They don't care if you like Watermarks or not, they don't care about your preferences, what you want doesn't matter at all.
Babymetal, lovebites and asterism......my favorites bands
Many, if not most bands these days use backing tracks for parts they cannot reproduce on stage, compared to the studio versions, such as vocal harmonizing (and for most metal bands) synthesizer and other effects, or just a click track to keep a perfect timing. Even so, the artists on stage still performs live. It's not cheating, it's even more difficult for all musicians to play in perfect timing to a track. Nightwish for example have big orchestral pieces in backing tracks even if Tuomas plays live as well. Lovebites sometimes have piano backing tracks since Miyako can't play guitar and piano at the same time (although she actually does that in "Burden of time"). Usually, lights and videos are also synced with these tracks on stage.
That was my point. I'm well aware of bands using tracks to enhance their stage performances and I never considered it cheating. Especially because the bands are still playing their instruments and the vocalists are singing. I think it actually sounds better.
