I don’t understand the American’s French obsession but she is obviously knowledgeable!

Most Americans don't care for the French, and no one is obsessed about them. It's just magazines that are into french beauty because there are a lot of French cosmetics companies, like Caudalie, that sell to US consumers. It's all an advertising tactic and everyone know it.

I like the French, their language, their food, their history and just their culture in general..
Probably because I am of some considerable French heritage!!
And no, don't tell me to go to France and live, since I love it so much!!
I am a very proud American, and yes, I do support President Trump whether anyone else likes it or not!!

@@CroixdeLorraine As a fellow American, I doubt that your views can represent opinions of the entirety or even the majority of the American population.
As for your "French heritage", no one is going to tell you to go live in France, especially if you do not want to.
With your washed out roots, the French don't even consider you as one of them.
      But eh...who knows..sounds like you're trolling anyway.

I can never understand testing the products on the hand. It's nothing like the actual face skin!

I do test sunscreen on my hand though, you can see instantly/within it's sticky/heavy/gonna sink in or not.

I love Caudalie products. They're reasonably priced (at least in French pharmacies) and do wonders for the skin. I've never tried Caudalie's oils though so that's next on my to-try list!

Using face oil for moisture when cleansing seems counterintuitive. Who is that strapped for time that they cannot afford to wash their face and apply oil/moisturiser afterwards?

It’s not solely for moisture. Oil removes makeup as well. Plus you would do moisturizer after. It’s just a more moisturizing way of cleaning your face instead of stripping it of oils without adding anything back. That’s why your face feels tight after cleansingZ it’s actually dry!

    • @mrskaa7584

A moisturizer is more effective anyway if it is applied to damp skin. So cleansing and moisturizing is actually one step, cleanse, rinse, moisturize. Since cleanser breaks down oil, putting it in your cleanser just wastes money.

Too bad that Caudalie is not cruelty free. They can no longer use the internationally-recognised official Leaping Bunny logo to show that their cosmetics are free from animal testing. It’s a huge “no go” to their products.

Niovi N not only that, but they add fragrance to their products, as well as irritating ingredients to their products. Bought the premier Cru facial oil, and I regretted it dearly. Only product I can say I like is the Beauty elixir mist spray.

Foaming cleanser PLUS mecanic exfoliator? These are two things I'd never use separately in the first place. Now combining the two? Why would I do that to my skin? Mind you, I like a bit of Caudalie in my routine. But this is a big no no!

  • @galentzr7262

Soap neutralises the oil properties (duh?), so adding oil to your foamy cleansing product is a waste of money and effort.
